My first character, rogue. Got ported to SW by a friend (I knew some human areas a bit from beta but I created NE) and I explored Elwynn. Of course, I find the river in the south and see land on the other side.. woah, this other land looks so much cooler... hm, ?? mob?.. I probably have to get closer to see it's level.. Needless to say I didn't even manage to get out of the water and I already was on my way back with bad wolf on my ass.

Going to the griffon master of felwood (right near the furbolg tunnels) at level 30. I don't really remember why I decided to do that, but that's where i learned about agro range depending on your level.

griffon master's dont atack, only if u atack themThe griffon master doesn't attack, but going from Ashenvale to the northeastern corner of Felwood at level 30 lets you get a taste (or the opposite actually) of a LOTS of bears and wolves that roam near the road.

Baby druid discover the furbolg cave in Moonglade and get ported to Felwood's elemental pool graveyard? :(
That was my first ?? moment. There was even LIVE PVP in front of my little baby eyes. Scary!
That was no fun.. it was only after that did I discover that there was a flight path to get back to Darkshore! >.>
I also stepped foot in the Badlands at about 10ish. I was trying to get down to Stormwind and that seemed to be the most logical way - some kind person happened to be riding through saved me though and told me about the train in Ironforge.

back to the OP, you can walk to any other gy in the game, then, when standing in front of the Spirit Rezzer, log out!
i'm tempted to try this out ;)

My first character at release was a night elf hunter. I got her to level 10, and did a bunch of research on what kind of pets were out there, and decided that I wanted a raptor. The only raptors that I could tame at level 10 were located in Durotar.
My husband and I asked around a bit to see if anyone knew how to get there. (Remember, this was just days after release.) The only answer that we got was that it was north of Menthil Harbor. So, we decided to swim there... only to discover that there were ?? murlocs everywhere. I didn't even know what a murloc was prior to that. There was a lot of dying, but we kept on going.
We eventually ended up on the Echo Isles in Durotar, and I got my raptor. Although my hunter is no longer my main, she still has that pet to this day.

I miss those days before (no offense) sites like wowhead. When everything was new, the world was big and meeting players of different races was exciting. I remember seeing my 1st undead on my tauren hunter. We spent like an hour talking about our respective starting areas.
