By the location of the bodies, I think the town was taken by surprise. The guards were poisoned where they stood. Rogues. Then, they rounded up the civilians in the center of the city and... it is such a horrific thought.I'm sorry, who are you again? Are you the one that Malfurion spoke of?FFS BLIZZARD! FFS! Just stop it already!I can't even be angry at this anymore. This is just unbelievable.
Raise Garrosh as a DK then he can help fight Sylvanas. He really did not like her and i am sure he would enjoy fighting her. I miss Garrosh...sad face.
Surely I can't be the only one here thinking that a 3rd party staged the massacre? The quest very specifically has you arrive in the aftermath and assume that the Horde killed the civillians - I seem to remember a certain quest in TBC where we were staging the very same type of thing on Lantresor's behalf in order to create a war.Don't get me wrong, I main Alliance and I do think that the Horde is currently being represented as the "evil" faction, but I'm not going to be so quick to assume it was the Horde this time. Generally, when we as players manage to "miss" the action or arrive in the aftermath it's because there's something else going on.
I am sickened, and not by the Horde. Sickened by Blizzard's garbage bin writing
Proof that all Horde are scum. I relish the thought of slaughtering by the bushel in BfA. FOR THE ALLIANCE!
I don't care if you're pro-Alliance or pro-Horde or pro-anything...this storyline so far is so garbage (from any point of view) I cannot believe my eyes...ridiculous...I thought they went way too far with Cata when Orcs invaded half of Ashenvale but now they go even further with this ridiculous far-fetched story. Anyone with any marbles in their had will know that if they followed the proper canon and lore as it was established by WC3 no one and I mean NO ONE, especially Horde...would never be able to take Ashenvale, least burn Teldrassil. A race that defeated the Burning Legion on their own once and two more times as allies with others, having crucial role, is now all of a sudden overpowered by some green skinned oaf and bunch of walking skeletons...give me a break...
"By the location of the bodies, I think the town was taken by surprise. The guards were poisoned where they stood. Rogues. Then, they rounded up the civilians in the center of the city and... it is such a horrific thought."That's it, I'm out. I don't care what rewards/mounts are linked to this, it's not worth it. The Horde has been my home for going on 6 years now, but this is not my Horde. I'm telling the Warchief to go sit on it, then sitting this out myself. I'm with "sissy" Saurfang...I don't like this New Horde, and I don't like and have never trusted this new Warchief. We are all going to have to answer for her crimes, and we will all suffer for what she is ordering.
It's not the Horde faction that needs to be eliminated, it's the large group of players within the Horde player base that believes they are some kind of peaceful faction of white knights - that needs to be eliminated. The whole idea of Horde vs. Alliance completely breaks down if Blizzard simply made the Horde faction into the composed and civilized faction that the Alliance represents. The Horde isn't necessarily evil, but they sure as hell are not the good guys like so many of the Horde player base has the misconception of believing. You guys are confused as hell in thinking that you are civilized and peaceful. It's bizarre as all hell. I'm not saying the Alliance is infallible either, but as I said, the Alliance is civilized and peaceful until provoked. Most of the time. The Horde is a faction that is allied with all manner of groups because they must do so in order to survive. They don't have the luxury of carefully choosing their allies, nor can they toil over politics either. Thrall's peaceful actions were not common for the groups within the Horde. However so many of you just assumed that the actions Thrall took were the norm for groups within the Horde, but that is simply not the case. Much like the times the Alliance has done questionable things, you guys latch onto those few events like it's the norm for the Alliance. Which again, is completely wrong. It's like you guys have no understanding whatsoever of your history as a faction, or your identity either. The Horde players are more upset over the killing of Night Elf civilians than the actual Night Elf players are. If that doesn't tell you how pathetically lame the Horde player base is, I don't know what else will. The Horde player base is currently overwhelmed with cowards and wimps, and it's nauseating to see just how soft the Horde player base has become. Blizzard really needs to create a 3rd faction for all of these new wave SJW Horde sissies. I mean... who joins the faction with Undead and Orcs and then expects to see sunshine and rainbows? You guys joined the wrong side, or you are playing the wrong game, period.Back in the day the Horde player base would be totally fine with this, in fact they would be celebrating it. I miss the days when being Horde actually meant something. Now you can't be sure if a Horde player is true Horde, or just a sissy with a tough looking character. Back in the day each faction better understood its identity, and it made big PvP battles and competition so much more exciting and rewarding. Now you can't go anywhere without seeing Horde players endlessly crying and complaining about anything and everything. Between Garrosh and Sylvanas there is enough tears to fill all of Azeroths lakes and oceans.I'm sure some of you will read this and claim that I am making things black and white, but that couldn't be farther from the truth. I've posted on this before, and I don't have the time or energy to discuss this endlessly. My understanding of the story is based on the written lore, and you can argue all you want. At the end of the day, my understanding is based on how Blizzard wrote it. It's a damn shame that the Horde player base is so completely polarized. I don't blame Blizzard for confusing the Horde players either. I blame the players themselves for being utterly naive and blind to the reality of their faction and its history.
Everyone is going crazy for some small things datamined and uncomplete in the alpha. LOL, didnt you learn anything from blizz?. In a couple of weeks some new info will show the horde was doing something right and the plot twist will again be there.Remember the broken shore; 2 sides of a coin. Lets wait.
I'm so disgusted with this storyline. I play Horde these days and I'm a huge fan of Sylvanas - she's my favourite lore character.I'm sick of the Horde always being written as the bad faction by Blizzard. After Legon events on the Broken Shore, Sylvanas proving to Vol'jin her loyalty and dedication to the Horde, despite all his past grievances and doubts about her and the Forsaken. So much so that the Loa spirits spoke to him and "endorsed" (?) Sylvanas as his successor. I don't claim to be a WoW lore buff but I would have liked to have seen Sylvanas written in a way that saw her character evolve as an honourable leader - whilst still keeping her questionable and shady side (to an extent!) of course. But this is just crap. Killing Night Elf civilians, burning Teldrassil and Darnassus? Using Blight at the battle in Lordaeron?. And we are supposed to just accept that the other Horde leaders - bar Saurfang - would endorse this?I don't play on a RP server but I do RP to an extent - and my character won't be playing any part in this. Don't worry Blizzard, you're still going to get my $13 a month... but this is a fantasy game after all, and in my character's world these events won't be happening. Like a bad movie sequel you can pretend doesn't exist!
Oh boy... Ok whiners think! Just stop and think! What Sylvanas dose here is strategy pure and simple:1. Feint attack to scatter your enemies: hit when and where they least expect it. All eyes are on Silithus now, it was time to strike.2. Any means necessary: make use of covert operations, stealth, assassination, poison, blight. The forsaken are pretty good at this. The orks, Taurens and trolls can march mindlessly to the front line, if they so eager to die honorably. 3. Kill anything that moves: demoralize the enemy and boost your forces by killing everyone and raise them as undead.Fighting an undead that used to be your loved one, there is nothing more demoralizing than that plus free soldiers.
what about southshore? wiped out by forsaken with the use of plague so not really a new tactic
Where is that famous Horde Honor ive been hearing so much about, Saurfang is the only Horde member I respect in all this
