WoW is killing most characters from base lore in the lasts 3 expansions... I really think what there are too many loops and minor questions what must be anwered in each exp. like the famous secrets places scattered in each continent... the new lore is the old god prophecy..... Gaved up for us players in the start of this expansion...The next expansion is full themed with old gods... this is almost clear at this point.....About the comment with the new races i think what dragon hybrid races are too a possibility... The dragons need a way to survive even as a new sub-race...however still i dont see as the forces of Azeroth and all his might can destroy/dispel? all the spiral etherie.... There are too much to see in this expansion yet...
Jaina will become a powerful enemy.
It's a pretty obvious guess but since the wound is in Silithus the power leaking from it could revitalize C'thun. I expect a resurgence from Twilight's Hammer in the next expansion.
I think it all points to the following:1) We're finally going to see Kul Tiras. 2) Jaina will be a major character.3) Old Gods will be the main antagonists, with heavy involvement of the Void Lords and the Ethereals.4) The awakening of Azeroth is imminent, and that could bring a lot of changes to the world as we know it (maybe zone revamps?).5) Azshara will make her move and her naga will be all over the place. 6) I'm pretty sure Ny'alotha will be a raid in the next expansion... and N'zoth will be there, waiting. What I'm hoping for:1) Exodar and Silvermoon revamps. It's been a while since the Sunwell has been restored with holy energy from M'uru. Maybe we'll get to see how it changes the land and the sin'dorei? Also, the Exodar needs to get ready to be launched against the void lords.2) Silithus revamp, as teased by the drop of blood from Argus, this may change the entire zone. Maybe even C'thun will wake up again and join the party? Or... maybe we'll even get an entire world revamp? 3) New class is probably out of the question since we just got demon hunters in Legion... but maybe a new race is in order? Naga could join the Alliance via the Night Elves and the Horde via the Blood Elves. After all, they used to be elves themselves. They could get legs via druidism, no biggie. That would solve the leg armor conundrum.4) Maybe we can get new Battlegrounds? Last ones added were back in Mists of Pandaria. I wouldn't mind getting a naval battle themed battleground where we cannon each other to death.5) I'd love to see the new Gadgetzan as a central city again. You know, the one portrayed in Hearthstone's Mean Streets of Gadgetzan. It could be the counterpart of the Alliance's Boralus capital of Kul Tiras.6) I'm wondering how they'll be handling Artifact Weapons after Legion is over. Will we hand them over to our successors? Will they get lost? Each spec will need to have its own experience, which may lead to very fun and lore-filled quests.7) I wish they continue with these story-driven questlines, full of cinematics and cutscenes.Anyway, I'm excited to see what comes after Legion's climax! I mean, what could possibly top the culmination of the Thousand Year War and the Burning Crusade? What could top TITANS! Can't wait to find out!
Obviously, we need to be on Azeroth, and protect it. I know whatever comes next has to involve the Void to some degree, likely a large one, and I know there'll be some sort of Old God hoodoo involved. I'm not sure whether we'll just be on Azeroth dealing with as yet unknown Old God hoodoo, and if we'll also venture forth to other Old God infested worlds, way later on, afterwards, but I do expect some Old God Hoodoo on Azeroth. Either way, Jaina disappeared. I'm assuming she went home to look for support in her crusade. We all know there're places left undiscovered after the upheaval of the Cataclysm, and I'm STILL fairly certain we'll be seeing Kul Tiras soon™, as it's silly we've gone this long without finding out its fate (seriously, Jaina, get with the program, those are YOUR PEOPLE - do you care if your brother is alive or needs help). I'm hoping it'll be part of the leveling process to somehow get Jaina to stop wigging and get herself together, if only for her people. I'm assuming some islands would make a nice leveling place, so we could deal with the aftereffects of the Cataclysm and whatever Void shenanigans the people have gotten up to on Kul Tiras and the like. I've been asking about Kul Tiras since the Cataclysm, I'd like to see it, eventually. Also, we've only had some smaller invasions from under the depths, lately, and I think it's time we see some more from the Naga, as we've just thwarted another of Azshara's attempts at grabbing mroe power (this time with a pillar of creation), and she's got to be a bit frustrated and ready to lash out. If I'm right about Kul Tiras, it's time to see more of her people. I know many people hate underwater zones, but... I do feel we need some amount of underwater action, should Azshara and her Naga be involved. Whether or not N’zoth is involved, I can't say, though I'd definitely lean towards yes.The Wrath of the Old Gods and the Tides of Azshara, I guess.Let's just say if we aren't going to whatever remains of Kul Tiras soon™, I'm going to be surprised as all get out.
This theory is going to sound crazy, but here goes, I guess.I feel like the next expansion is going to be all about the Old Gods, the Void, and at least one of the Void Lords. Jaina Proudmoore will be roped into this because Kul'Tiras will be the first area affected by the malignant void energies. I do not doubt that all of the areas with Old Gods that we know about, especially Silithus, because it's literally affecting the local population, will also become heavily affected.I feel like Magni will become corrupted :.( as a result of the void's influence over Azeroth's core. He'll probably become a boss in some dungeon or raid, as will the Void Lord. We'll be able to save Azeroth, no doubt, because people seem to like being in Stormwind and Orgrimmar, but it might be heavily changed, like when Deathwing came around.I think that Alleria and the blood elves will be a big part of it, with her extreme void powers, and will be able to be the bond between Alliance and Horde once more. It's quite possible that the remaining demons, being regretful, will join us on the front lines as penance, in addition to the burning desire to destroy the void from Sargeras' mind control. Lothraxion could be a great example.Paladins (woo) and Priests could become extra powerful (you know, light vs. shadow and all that), and could deal extra damage as a result. It's also possible that the Void Lords will create an offensive against places like the Netherlight Chapel and Light's Hope Chapel to exterminate our orders. (DALEKS DO NOT TAKE ORDERS. EXTEEERMINAAATE.)Last of all, Dalaran will become obsolete. Some Void Lord will Xenedar it, and destroy it completely. Khadgar will help us out, but I don't think we'll have the support of the rest of the Kirin Tor. Instead, we'll use something else as our base of operations near the biggest void threat. So yeah, that's the main part of my theory. Feel free to critique.-Kroanag
Hopefully it's somewhere that's not Azeroth. Once the Old God and Void stuff is done I'd say the story well for Azeroth has run dry. Perhaps a World of Warcraft 2 is in order. https://www.reddit.com/r/warcraftlore/comments/6fgkig/sharing_my_alternate_legion_storyline/
Pretty sure we are going back to Azeroth only to find N'zoth making himself at home. Probably Aided by Azshara or who knows what. Or maybe we get another filler xpack like WoD but i highly doubt it since ppl are still not over WoD entirely.
Pretty doubtful that they will make slightly humanoid races like murlocs, nage, or even ethereals playable due to the fact that they can't really wear any armor given their current models. With all the hype Jaina is getting, the expansion definitely has something to do with Kul'tiras, and with all the void hype on argus and the end of the legion, the void is one of the only other threats left really.
I feel like there is a lot of prophecy regarding lies and betrayal. It seems like everyone that is important is doing that (Anduin, Sylvanas, Jaina, Azeroth, Magni, Kadghar, etc). So this makes me think that WE are actually being corrupted and NOT them. Maybe the old gods are whispering lies to us? Why are we believing these prophecies and whispers if they are coming from the old gods? Don't they corrupt from within? They are doing it! We are all going mad, I say!
So maybe the story continues by having a new race Ethereal and a new class Trader. Then both Sylvanas and Jaina return and lead the way to opening portals to a new world related to Ethereals. A surprising plot twist would be if both of them change sides: Sylvanas working for Alliance while Jaina becomes like a Frost Lich working for the Horde. This could be possible in the alternate dimensional world of the Ethereals. There will be a tearful reunion of the Windrunner sisters. The other 2 could try to persuade Sylvanas to work with the Alliance. Sylvanas could explain what happened at the Broken Shore, as they were fighting on another front.
If I had to venture a guess it would be that the next expansion we will find ourselves coming back from argus having defeated sargeras and argus himself only to find that we are out of the frying pan and now into the fire. The old golds will play their hand in retaking the surface of azeroth rebuilding their black empire while also attempting to finish the corruption of the world soul in our planet.
I think C'thun is going to "wake up" with this whole Sargeras stabbing thing. I also think we are going to Kul'Tiras after receiving a help call from Jaina as we return from our Argus campaign. Perfect plot to put her back into action without the whole "Jaina is a dreadlord" thing.
About the power of Argus giving immortality to demons, we know that demons were immortal since the start. If they could be permanently killed in the Twisting Nether then why would Sargeras need to imprison them? Now consider this. The demons of that time were a race that can be reborn no matter where they are killed. When Sargeras fell and created the Burning Crusade, the demons he had imprisoned had a small number. He needed an army, so he created new demons, starting with the Eredar. The new demon race was created using the power of Argus, and in the image of the old demons. He bound the souls of the new demons to Argus, so that when they died, their souls returned and could be reborn. If they died in the twisting nether, which is something like hyperspace (a space completely seperate from normal space but close to it), the souls were stranded there and could not return. So it was a permanent death. By unbinding Argus from the system, the old demons remain as they were. Immortal but limited in numbers. The new demons though will become mortal again. That can also sort of explain why some creatures (PCs, some NPCS) can return after they die. They are bound to Azeroth in a similar way.
I think we will meet the old gods in dire we will call for the help of Jaina
I'm thinking the Old Gods line with Jania and Kul' Turis being the most likely. Can't wait until we get to see it.
I think that we will be going across the seas and visiting the many mysterious islands that we have yet to adventure. The main adversaries would be Queen Azshara and N'Zoth. Possibly for the pre-patch we could fight C'thun who was reawakened due to Sargeras stabbing Azeroth where he was kept prisoner with a cool new tentacle mount with an eyeball.
In my opinion Argus is the only one side of problem. When we - Champions of Azeroth, are invading Legion, our home - Azeroth have less protection than we were on the board. Without us Old Gods, have a time to gain power and corrupt our sweet home with void. When Argus Invasion ends, and we back to home, nothing will be the same... After one evil, comes another... This world is endless fight, fight that we heroes must fight, fight that we must die... And when we die, our children will fight...
Holy $%^& those mounts are epic! Can hardly wait to invade stormwind with their own gunship! I definitely feel like the old gods will be coming out from under our feet, perhaps the dark below will finally rise?
I reckon it's gonna be N'Zoth and Azshara, but after that, well, the old gods have their own masters, so let's go fight them!
