I previously was using a PC with an I3 processor, 500gb HDD, 8gb RAM, GTX 750ti, and running windows 7 and I was able to run WoW Legion on graphics setting 7 while getting 45-70 fps. I recently bought PUBG as well and on my old PC it was extremely laggy with poor graphics. Now I just bought a new PC with an I7-7700 processor, 1TB HDD, 120gb SSD, 16gb RAM, GTX 1060 3gb and running windows 10 and I have found that on PUBG the game runs perfectly with 60+ frames at the top graphics, however when I try to play WoW my GeForce Experience app wants to optimize it to basically the max settings and I am stuck with 10-15 FPS. when I put it back to 7 (where it was on my old PC) I get around 20 FPS. the in game settings menu suggests that I put it down to 4 and even then I'm only getting around 50 FPS. can someone please tell me what the problem is and what I need to do to play my Death Knight again?

You can customize GeForce using the wrench icon. To get to it select WoW and More Info.
I have had great success with GeForce's optimization and have had huge gains because of it, using all the defaults except that I use the wrench to tell WoW to run full screen windowed because I have two screens.
My suggestion is to first load the game without optimization, just long enough to go into the game's graphics settings and purposely set everything as low as possible. Yes, move the slider to the bottom and turn off everything. Now exit the game including the Blizzard app. Finally, re-run GeForce Experience to get a fresh optimization profile.
