Even if you made them a bunch of gothic emo pandas, they'd still put too much 'happy' vibe into the world.
New Hero Class: Gothic Emo + New Race: Panda = Gothic Emo Panda
WTF? gothic emo, thats just retarded, if they are goth, they arent emo, and if they are emo, they arent goth, its like saying a muslim jew

could always go with the runemaster class and make it heal/cast using the same rune system the deathknight uses... though I think it'd end up being a cheap ripoff.
It'd be interesting if each new hero class had it's own resource mechanic.

we dont need necromancers - deathknights use necromantic powers, and the class would be exceedingly redundant.
Same with clerics, you've already got that basic idea being used with discipline priests and holy paladins.
The whole point of adding a new class is finding a 'niche' for it, where it can fit in with the current classes without stealing anyone's jerb =P
Deathknights fit this fine - they can dps (but pretty much every class in the game can dps as well, it's required for leveling), but they have a very specific role when it comes to tanking - as anti-caster tanks.
According to blizzard, in WOTLK tanks will be re-focused as such:
-Warriors: Primary physical mitigation tanks (i.e. tanking things that hit hard)
-Paladins: Primary multi-target/aoe tanks
-Death Knights: Primary spell mitigation tanks (i.e. tanking things that use magic/spells)
-Druids: Versatile offtanks (tank all types of enemies equally well, but none better than anyone else - still make the best offtanks due to high damage output while tanking, and the ability to instantly switch from a tanking role to a dps role).
Likewise, with healers you have the current trend:
-Paladins: Most efficient single-target healers
-Druids: Primary spot/raid-healers through heal over time spells
-Priests: Best multi-target / Aoe healers
-Shamans: Like druids in the tanking category, shamans have a little bit of everything and provide raid utility in addition to their healing ability.
DPS classes follow similar trends:
-Rogues: best single-target melee damage dealers
-Mages: aoe damage dealers
-Warlocks: single-target magic damage dealers
-Hunters: crowd control / ranged physical damage dealers
So, if you make any new class, it needs to have a very specific thing that it does well, or it needs to provide something to the group or raid that no other class can. Otherwise you've just got a copy/paste job of an existing class with a new name slapped on.

I think the
Apothercary
would be a good idea! I was also wondering when the new expansion
Wrath of the Lich King
is coming out?
an official release date has not been posted by blizzard. Most people assume the expansion will release around the end of this year.
As for the apothecary... it isnt really needed. You could add offensive/healing thrown potions to alchemists, which would make the tradeskill much more desirable. I dont think it'd be wise to base an entire class around using consumables.
Come to think of it... I'm surprised blizzard HASNT added offensive exploding potions to alchemists yet.

Hmm... a Keeper of the Grove hero class could actually be designed as a healing/dps class with a strong reliance on pets. That would be something completely new and would allow a lot of funny and unique spells and abilities.

I think a melee AoE class mighy be cool. Druids have Swipe but that only hits 3 enemies.

I just read up this article, and I think now that I understand more what it is, that I agree with you all. This would make one badass hero class.
-demon shapeshifting (maybe a diff form for each specs)
-evolving character design (more lvls = more demonic mutations)
-demon weapons (these sound like they act as the Assassins spells in Diablo 2: LOD)
Nothing about this I do not like. However if you are required to have your eyes burned out (or something similar) then how would that effect gameplay? According to the equipment, it sounds like perhaps we could see melee cloth wearer :) (i think it would be awesome.) or maybe different specs could wear different levels (maybe one can wear plate or somethin?)
New weapon category would be great as well!

next hero class should be Dragoon, class that relies on 2h weapons for special attacks, and has magic which throws them towards enemies, Like Jump which is like Shadowstep but u appear in the air above them and hit the ground for aoe/stun damage, they should have spells like spirit lance, throw a magical spear as a spell, have like a volley like hunters but looks like a rain of spears, have special techniques utilised only by Thrown Weapons, and have abilitys like dragonskin- extra def/resistence, and dragons breath not like mages but like shoots a fire ball, and they should have a talent called like Draconic rage, where they take like dragonkin form for 15secs and get like 30% damage buff like pallys, but are stunned for like 2 secs afterwards as a "Regain Humanity" debuff, or like draconic Perception, a skill which increases stealth detection or so for 15secs. and they should have a buff called something like "mark of the Dragonflight" increase attirbutes by 5% and resistances by 15. they should also have the same kinda of charge abilities as warriors. as for Races, avaible to more naturalist Races, Blood elves, trolls, orcs, Tauren, Human, Night elf, Draenei.
be like a cross between hunter/mage i would say, but less inclined to range and no pets (except for maybe a class skill to summon a whelping to help for 45secs like mages elemental) for just range..
my thoughts anyways, seems kinda original to me :P

Already done with warlocks, they're getting metamorphosis (transforming into a demon) as a top demonology talent.
Face it guys, there's nothing a 'demon hunter' class can provide that isnt already covered by at least one other class already in the game. The burning legion has been all but defeated, and after the next expansion is released we probably wont be encountering any demons for a long time.
There's also still the matter of class imbalances - healers are very rare, as much if not more than tanking classes. If blizzard is going to use hero classes to solve the current problems in the game, you can bet on the next hero released to be a primary healing class.
Oh, and we -definitately- dont need any more melee/physical dps classes. Half the classes in the game right now, including the upcoming death knights, are melee dps - we have more than enough in that regard.

They won't add another healing class, atleast not for a while. We already have 4 different ones and there's not much they could do different for another one.
I see the metamorph as a listing for warlocks, though it seems kinda worthless. 360% armor boost huh? That'll make them equal to a badly geared mail wearer. The entire demonology tree is either for the warlock as a caster or for its pets, which the metamorph completely nullifies since you will no longer be able to summon a pet. In the instance when "turning into a demon" for a Warlock means their better casters, then it reopens the field for a demon hunter since it still won't be covering the melee perspective.
I suppose after WoTL when the Lich King is defeated then we won't be seeing scourge or demons in the next expansion.. which leaves the mortal races themselves, some monsters, and... Old Gods. Not saying they can't make another one with that, but if they weed out mobs as we kill them then they are probably going to run out of fodder for the cannons by the time it comes to home stretch.
Here's my thought if this is the case: (kinda like the DK's lore)
After the banishing of the Burning Legion the Demon Hunters, once forsaken and cast out from their *insert race* society, had their demonic powers diminished to substantially lower mutative qualities (physically). They returned to society as forgotten heroes of wars long past. Although not accepted by the older generations for their heretic rituals and beliefs, the newer generation embraced them as the noble brethren they were. *mushy lovey dovey stuff* Demon Hunters accept their new place in society and begin to forge a new path in life for themselves by aiding their allies in combat and reformation.
*level up noise* Demon Hunter has joined the party!
