You see, when people post unconstructive rant posts about how casual/non casual people play warcraft and about how blizzard sucks you accomplish only one thing only... spreading negativity to others and making everyone feel like crud. Other than this, does it really serve any other purpose? Vote and let's see!
Note:
It's funny how biased MMO-C moderators are, they claim this is not "constructive" post and then lock it, but I disagree because it really bands people together when the negative thinkers are separated through this poll to show that there is a huge majority of positive thinking people in our gaming communities than people think actually exist. Hope wowhead is more understanding and open minded about this than MMO-C was to me; wowhead has always been my home...

Rants serve no purpose any time. If you have a specific complaint, that is different to bring it to someone's attention but just complaining because you don't like the direction something is going, or you have an issue with specific players, that's on the person.

An open discussion about a subject is fine, however rants and similar diatribe posts are usually not designed to foster any meaningful or constrictive communication and in my opinion are best suited to be posted on an individual's personal blog, social media, YouTube, etc.
I enjoy reading posts where folks discuss issues that are important to them in a format that does not include rude or insulting language, ridicule of others and where the posters have facts, figures and/or other substantive evidence to support their statements. Most, if not all, rant posts are from the writers negative knee jerk reaction to a situation. I believe that folks need to calm down and wait a short time before hitting that "post" button.
