Beginning a few months ago, I started to see computer performance degradation the longer I had Wowhead up on chrome. Due to the big issue around advertisements that was reported a while ago, I thought it was due to that and that it would be solved eventually. Since then, I believe you guys have resolved that widespread issue, and I also built me a new pc, so started fresh. I’m still however seeing a very, VERY significant performance issue with wowhead when I’m using Chrome (my primary go-to browser.)
To put it into perspective, this is CPU usage of Chrome, with just Wowhead up, after I left it on the support forum thread about your ad issues for 5 minutes.

So, it’s obviously a combination of the website + chrome, and I’m hoping someone can assist me with pinpointing the issue. Even typing this out, I’ve had to resort to compiling the post in Word, and then quickly copying it over to wowhead because the site becomes so incredibly unresponsive and laggy that I must force close.
“Just use another browser” is not an acceptable solution to me.
Some other facts:
1. It doesn’t matter what site I’m on, this is ALWAYS the result. In the end, it results in my browser crashing and me having to force close Chrome.
2. I haven’t seen similar poor performance on any other website.
3. I have ABP, however it doesn’t seem to ever work on Wowhead, as I get ads all the time. It does however say it is blocking them.
4. Disabling ABP for wowhead does not help. After 5 minutes, I’m still at over 3000MB Memory usage with only wowhead up in Chrome.
5. As for other extensions, I have Google Docs, Google Docs Offline, Google Play Music, and Google Sheets. That’s it.
