I was wandering in a few other posts of mine awhile back someone had said that I should just gather gold around 2-5 k and then buy T6 gear from a guild .... I have never heard of this and I was very confused. Obviously all they would do is run you through raid dungeons, but wouldn't this be considered cheating? If not I can farm my head off for a month and be able to achieve T6 status?
Thanks for reading my post.

Possibly the GKP method?

FYI:
GKP
In any case, they're not directly selling the gear, but rather the opportunity to join their raid and win it as it drops. Some guilds will do this for raids they have on farm. It's not a violation of the ToS so long as it's just in-game gold and not real money that's changing hands.

If guilds have the instance on farm mode (ie mostly don't require anything from it) and there is no complicated attunement requirement, then the market is open. Most often you buy your spot in the raid (ie they are confident that they can do the fights with 24 people) and will get the items (if they drop) or will have to pay an additional fee per items that you'll get.
It's an easy way for advanced guild to fill their bank account.

It's a viable method of getting geared if you have the gold, but depending on your server there's a decent chance of you becoming a laughingstock for it, as players who just "appear" with full tier 6 sets and don't have the skills and guild history to back it up don't usually have very good reputations in my experiences.

I actually did that for 2 BWL runs back in the days before BC (we were farming MC at the time), without having to pay (i exchanged an Onyxia scale against the cloak and that was it).
An advanced BWL farming guild (they were progressing in AQ40 i think) was inviting people from selected PvE guilds during a summer where their own attendance was a bit too low.
They where able to succesfully raid that way, and i (and several others) were able to experience BWL and the strats. Was quite fun.

I've seen people pay 3,000 for dragonspine trinket.

I can see people doing this, but imo it would be better to actually run that stuff, then to farm like 10k gold, besides you get raid experience from running them with your guild.
