You can't kill him because you touch yourself at night, but seriously....
For the longest time I had to remind the warlocks to reapply their dots to Illhoof, they were doing great on the imps but nothing to him, we also just ignore Kilrek and burn Illhoof instead. If the chains are giving you trouble try that macro (/tar demon). Other than that make sure you check out
Bosskillers.
Hope this helps, good luck.
By the way, what is actually killing you, is it only the imps?

If your locks are running out of mana on the imps, then you might want to have a mage help them with some AoE of their own.
A geared lock can solo SoC the imps, so it might be an issue with your locks spell damage. No offense, sometimes it's just bad drops.

Yeah, probably overkill on the SoC, try to tone it down a bit. Also buff for the long run, wisdom, mana spring, intel, the works, scrolls also help. I've used a pally tank before too, the consecration spam helps with the adds as well, and like Drafted said, try out a mage, gl.
Edit: WTB spellcheck

How on earth, does a warlock run out of mana?

I don't even remember how we used to do this when it was "new". These days it doesn't seem to take much effort.
Anyhow it's not so much about the gear but tactic. Getting chains down is prio one. Get someone with LOTS of fireresistance (get the badge set, also usable later on in SSC when fighting leotheras), this doesn't have to be a warlock but if you have that fire immunity talent that I can never remember the name of that helps. That person attracts the imps you don't have to use your most damaging spell you can downscale and use cheap once. After all nobody else is going to attack them, just stay above the general healing agro. After all it's not about killing imp, when they get to many thou call in for some backup from say mages and aoe them all down and then start over again.
Make sure to "time" your kills of that little side imp whatever his name is so that you can all lay into Illhoof when he dies and the debuff appears.
Remember that you don't have to do chains for mages, paladins and rogues cause they can all block - bubble and cloak out of it.
... if you fail just die. Don't try and run cause you can't outrun the sacrifice (chains) thingy.

Regarding gear for a warlock tank : you can go there in blues from levelling and crafted gear and without any FR and still do your duty perfectly fine (i did). Also, two warlocks on imps duty is a waste of dps. One mage or warrior (or whatever AE) can help for 5s if there are too many and the locks get interrupted, but that's about it.
Put a paladin in the locks group for concentration aura (NOT RF) : killing imps faster is better than resisting part of their damage.
SoC should be cast on Illhoof, not on the imps : the mob with SoC on only takes the dot damage but isn't hurt by the explosion. If you target imps, it'll take time to detonate and won't damage one of the imps. Also you lose time tab targetting.
Just stay on Illhoof, put a curse up (CoS for better SL life regen, CoD else), keep SL up and then Soc all fight long, it'll explode instantly from the dps of the other raid members.Connect and Dark Pact to keep your mana up (after having cleaned imps preferrably) and don't let their numbers build up. For example, try to always have mana to do 3 SoCs in a row, as you'll be sure to clean the room with that and just have minimal amount of imps while replenishing your mana pool. Don't Life Tap too much in one go, you risk dying instantly to chains. Have your healers put HoTs on you and intersperse your Lts all through the fight. (get your imp buffed for mana regen too)
If the lock is confortable with his mana he can add UA and immolate also, or put dots on Kilrek when he's up, but that's optional. Just start with SL and SoC (and LT/DP) and then see from there what more you can do while keeping the imp in check. Don't ask the lock on imp duty to do huge dps on the boss too, that's not his duty.
The tank must place Illhoof around the sacrifice mark, for two reasons :
- melee dps won't have to move to dps the chains
- the imps will all be in SoC range
Kilrek must be taken care of rapidly else the imp lock will get agro fast and risk getting killed. (we just have an OT in dps gear tank him and everyone kill him fast each time he appears)
And then you just have the chains to down rapidly. Because it's a big strain in the healers and because Terrestian heals himself by alot during that time.
Healers must be aware so that the person doesn't die, those who can break the chains on their own must do so. And all dps (except maybe the imp lock) should switch and burst them down. Finishing a cast or using up combo points on Terrestian IS NOT an option. Get yourself a WWS meter or recount or whathever to see who is slacking on the chain side if needed, they shouldn't last more than 5s.

We down this guy every week though that was not always the case. What helped us the most is when someone was sacrificed, to target and destroy the demonic chains as quickly as possible.
/target demon
/attack or /cast etc.
Mages can ice block out of it, Pallys can bubble out of it (I think)
We usually have two tanks, one on Illhoof and the other on Kil'rek. Someone AoE's the imps and the rest of the DPS is split between Illhoor & Kil'rek. When Kil'rek reaches 20% we announce it and everyone (except main tank) DPS' Kil'rek until he is dead, then everyone switches to Illhoof. When Kil'rek gets resummoned, we split and do it again.
Once you get the coordination down, I'm sure you will one shot him every week.

Just let dots and perhaps an execute or two kill kil'rek, and if you have a lock he should remember to have curse of doom on illhoof timed so it goes off while he's weakened.
