Does anyone know when raids will become available?
.....Now?

I see two raids have become available, one of them is walled city and the other one is molten core, I tried queing for walled city and after 32 minutes of searching I gave up. I just hope blackrock foundry will become available soon because that is where the tier 17 raiding gear is obtainable it seems.

Good luck, what ever you choose to do.

Are you DPS? DPS queues are often over an hour for LFR (and have been since their introduction).
You have the option to search using the Premade Groups option in Group Finder. Searching for a premade might be faster, but leaders tend to be quite picky about who they bring.
If you're queuing via Raid Finder though, be aware that tier gear will not be dropping from Foundry. Both tier and trinkets will not be available on Raid Finder difficulty.
I started out as DPS and eventually realized that the searching times are way too long, so I switched to protection and I am now enjoying some fast searching times, plus you get extra rewards and you are the one to go forward throughout the dungeon, instead of following behind your team mates.
Are you saying that
Battlegear of Guiding Light
is not available if you are using LFR?

Correct. Tier gear is not available in LFR. Just 640 generic gear.

I see that you can actually make blacksmithing gear that is a higher item level, 655, so what's the point of doing these raids?
What makes it worth it for me is the tier gear but if it is unavailable in LFR then perhaps its a waste of time doing LFR.

LFR is for people who don't have the time for regular raiding. Also, you can only wear three pieces of crafted gear; so filling in the rest is a good idea.

That's good to know in terms of the crafted gear limit. On a side note, it takes about 45 minutes of searching in order to get into a raid in LFR, (with arcane sanctum, walled city and molten core being the only raids available in the raid finder tool right now), as I have been waiting for 30 minutes now without anything happening.
Regular dungeons often brings me into a random dungeon in less than 2 minutes.

Also note, up to Jan 5th 2015 the first completion of the level 100 version of Molten Core has a guaranteed ilvl 640 helm drop. (plus the best mount in the game)

So let me get this right, in order to obtain the tier gear you would have to be *forced* into joining a raiding guild?
Are you sure there is no other work around for those of us who are playing on servers with low population?
I'm working on my 640 item level gear from raids, but sometime later I would like to obtain the best gear available in the game.

Have friends on RealID who are raiding?

Well, wow123456, you don't HAVE to be in a Raiding guild, you can always start your own PUGs, or join one.

With pugs I am guessing you are refering to the people who forms a group in stormwind for raiding. What are the chances of finding a group like this on a realm with a low population?
I have seen people doing this a few times when i was browsing the general chat channel, but certainly not too often. I am going to work on my 640 ilvl gear obtained from LFR, however sometime beyond that I would like the best gear available, and as to my understanding, the gear with the highest ilvl from LFR is 640.

Open the Looking for Group window, click on the Pre-made tab, then look through the options. You can find groups in other ways then just Trade chat.

So I have completed three raids this week, the first one is walled city, the second one is arcane sanctum and the third one is imperators rise, as well as killing all the bosses, and so far the only items I have found are some gems that temporarily increases my strength, whats going on with the loot?

Loot is not guaranteed.

I realize this, I just find it a bit ridicilious not to have found anything at all after clearing all the available raids. Anyway, I'm going to work on obtaining some more of the ilvl 640 raid gear from LFR, as well as making myself some crafted items, and then I will see which raids offers the next progression in terms of gear from that point.
So I'm getting to a point where heroic raids and mythic raids are starting to become interesting, since I have obtained most of the gear available from LFR and my ilvl is 695. I have a few questions though... Is it realistic to get enough people on your friendlist to complete raids on normal, heroic and mythic if you are playing on a server with a population that varies between medium and low? I have already tried various guilds and whenever I ask in the guildchat if people wants to do a raid, nobody feels like it. How tough is it going from LFR and then to normal, heroic and mythic? Do you have to perform flawlessly, or is it more or less forgiving like it is in LFR where the bosses can be cleared even if a few members fails?

Normal yes; Heroic and Mythic not even close. Look at your realm forums and see what guilds are recruiting for Mythics.
