Question, since I'm considering using a Prot build to level (and possibly tank a few instances) coming from my PVP build. I haven't read the official post, but from a bunch of the comments that I've read on the forum looks like the standard for tanks is no longer being uncrushable, but simply uncrittable. Does that mean that resilience can be valid for tanking stat?

Warriors have never had to worry about being uncrushable. For level 60 raiding it was automatically granted by the shield block ability, and for level 70 raiding it is the exact same thing.
Being uncrittable is just a matter of having over 5.6% crit chance reduction from any combination of resilience and defense rating.
Resilience gives more crit chance reduction than defense, but it gives no other benefit. Defense, on the other hand, gives a very competitive amount of avoidance (spread evenly between parry, dodge and miss, with block chance as icing on the cake). So usually defense is much preferred, especially since getting crit immune is usually fairly easy.
One major place where resilience comes in handy is for resistance gear. Since you lose lots of regular tanking stats, including defense, it often becomes extremely difficult to remain crit immune in the resistance gear. Then resilience can help you out a lot, filling in the gap. I personally use an arena shield to tank flames of azzinoth.

I know what you mean, tanking is so easy now it kinda makes me sad. It seems less about rotations and just facerolling on your threat abilities >.<
Only one guy has managed to pull aggro from me so far and Vigilance fixed that problem right away.

I wonder, have the game mechanics and dmg/threat values all been fine tuned just to match the lvl 80 raiding content.. without ever looking back at the lvl 70 stuff we're still facing now?
For as far as I know, nothing has been changed in the tbc dungeons at all, while the warr tanks got a massive damage boost and several extra control abilities (warbringer, shockwave, vigilance etc). What can you say about this?

Thanks, this makes me feel better about things to come. I've only been a warrior tank for a few months and found it challenging, I feared the challenge may have been lost.
Does the recent raid nerfing mean I can take my kara geared prot warr and just pug my way through the remanining raid content to at least see the art and get the loot, that will serve me for a few weeks?

Your Weapon Slot:
Adamantite Sharpening Stone
or
Weighstone
(Use these to increase your threat, provided you do NOT have a Shaman giving you a Windfury totem - a stone on your weapon will keep it from getting Windfury)
Windfury now stacks with sharpening stones/weightstones.
