And just like that, Second Chances returns to life.
Skreeran casts resurrection!
Or is Skreeran a necromancer?

An Undead RP Forum; the horror!

Been aiming to return again after I popped in for a single RP. I am thinking of launching a new Scourge RP, but I don't want to launch it unless I know that there would be interest.

Maybe give us a bit more of an idea of what you intend to do.

I'm thinking of the Scourge being disturbed by someone and they suddenly begin razing towns and cities, starting with the Argent Lands.
Also, someone took Bolvar's role as the new Lich King.

Okay, that's a start. Now you need to somehow justify them beginning this invasion. Such as how they made it to the Argent lands, considering most of them have been wiped out there. Give the players something to work with such as how far the Argents have retreated, fortresses that have fallen, who came to lend a hand, so on and so forth.

I'm thinking of the Scourge fleets attacking from the air, a Scourge necropolis (Other than Naxxrammas) showing up above the ruined city of Strathhome, bolstering the undead armies and starting the invasions. Both towers near the Plaguewoods have been destroyed.

But where would this Necropolis come from? The Scourge can't exactly build those things in secret anymore.

Well. There's still a lot of untamed places in Azeroth. If the scourge took Desolace of Arathi would anyone notice?
Good point, but I think it would be difficult to get enough Scourge to build some war machines into those places unseen.

I'm so bad at starting RP's...

I'm so bad at starting RP's...
It's all about choosing the right moment, namely when there aren't so many popular RPs active. I think the rough number we came to, theoretically speaking (unless I'm imagining this and it was actually the product of a conversation with the precious :P), for the number of stable RPs possible at a given time was between 3 to 4.
Any more than that and one would always end up fading, be it the new one or one of the existing ones (with the exception of those unusual few where people are focused on finishing a specific plot line, hence giving them longevity and the ability to exist independent of however many other active RPs are on the boards at a given time - e.g. Second Chances).
It's a large part of why it's safer to find an active one/ones you like and stick with it/them, then post your own when the time is ripe. Always better to try be involved in at least one other at the same time however, as you can't always tell whether or not a new RP will take off (and to what extent).
The issue with your last is, as Stabhorn said, there's already another with a very similar theme. General suggestions I'd have other than that are you want to make sure you iron out your intro posts a bit more. Generally it's safer to split the narrative and the OOC information, for example having the action and/or descriptive sections at the beginnings and then adding a line break with the OOC text after it (as I see you've done with your latest one). In the way of standard formats I tend to like: action -> description (the narrative kind, not the OOC kind) -> OOC text. Nothing against variation, but it might form a decent basis starting out.
I think the main issue is pacing and fleshing out the background details, since it seems a little fast paced and also longer intro posts tend to garner more interest. We can see you have interesting ideas, we merely don't have much to go on based on the introductions alone at times.
This is by no means me singling you out. Most, or, well,
all,
my attempts at starting an RP ended in failure (had the mods delete the majority of my intro posts to spare myself the shame xD, no joke). If I didn't want to help I don't think I would've written all this out (when I'm supposed to be sound asleep too <.<), I'd really like to get to know your characters and yourself as an RPer.
Other than that, if you have any questions, feel free to ask. There's also the Q&A otherwise, as people tend to check that more often in regard to the actual RPs, alongside Steam (but that's entirely optional, if anything important is brought up it's generally mentioned in the Q&A). We also don't bite (or, well those of us that do have the decency not to sparkle in the process).
Edit: I feel I should apologize for that
almost
wall of text, I tried... (You can tell how late it is where I am in direct proportion to how disorganized my English gets and how many full-word typos I make :P)

I second that statement! The only RP I've done with any sort of success was New Scourge.

I likedoing doing that one. New Scourge was fun.
I also wish that the forums supported more RP's, it would help though to have a more dedicated RP forum in its own right. And a larger community for RP would do wonders.

Yes. But we can't just suddenly spawn new RPers...
Yet...

Stabhorn
Yeah, there's only like ten or so.

If only we could launch a dedicated fan forum for RP...
That would also clear out this forum for more lore discussion while we still get our RP.

I don't think there's enough of both to support two different pages.

It's been suggested before. And as Stabhorn said, the two communities are both too closely knit, and each too small to justify splitting them.
