I got banned for botting and never cheated in wow

Hey all I really need help. I am so frustrated and sad.
Between Christmas and NewYear I got permanently banned for botting. I made a ticket and they changed it to a 72 hours ban. I was furious because I didnt do anything wrong I was flying around farming Herbs and ores but in the end I was happy to get my account back.
I wrote a ticket to a gm afterwards where I ask for a conversation cause I was so afraid to get banned Again. The ticked was answered while I was offline so I didnt get to talk to anyone, and then I forgot.
Instead of farming in Eternal Blossoms I went farming other Places too so they couldnt say I only was flying in circles.
I have been playing wow since Vanilla and i have 10 lvl 90 chars on same account. I have been farming achievmentpoints pets and mounts for many years.
I am officier in our guild and I am member of our hc raiding team.
Today at 11.35 am I get disconected from the game. I try to log on Again but it tells me I am banned Again.
I got very frustrated, sad and very afraid and I made a ticket fast. I was so scared to Loose my account so i couldnt wait and tried to get a chat with a gm. because if i could call them straight away they could see It was me and not a bot that was farming.
the only thing i got out of that was :
This account has been banned for the repeated use of botting third party software and the ban sadly will remain permanent. We previously warned about the use of these programmes however they were then used again. Saldy this ban will not be overturned. If you do not agree with this policy then please feel free to contact csfeedback.eu@blizzard.com however it is unlikely the decision will be overturned.
I simply dont know what to do. I am a woman and they have so much authority. My son is playing WOW and my mother is playing WOW, we all love to play the game. None of us hardly know how to make a macro in game and if I have to do something on my pc i always ask friends to help me out, to guide me over teamspeak.
I tried to get a phonecall with a gm too but my ticked got closed they didnt want to talk to me.
I am running virus check once a week sometimes twice and my compter is according to McAffee clean.
I bought my computer in September 2013 and I only have WOW, Microsoft office, curse and java installed on it.
I tried to tell that I havent been botting but it is as they are not listening to me. It is so frustrating when I never did anything wrong in wow. I tried to send screenshots of my programs and addons nothing helped.
I asked for help to solve my issue cause there must be something wrong somehow or somewhere but just got the message that they couldnt reveal the proofs.
So here I am. a good customer, very sad and frustrated, kicked from wow after so many years playing. I have invested so much time and Money in my account.
Is there anything I can do at all?
I hope to get some serious answers/comments.

Despite your frustration, that phrase isn't appropriate for this forum.

Call them. That is the best advice anyone here can give you.

I did try to get into conversation over phone with them but instead of calling me they just send me an email with this message:
This account has been banned for the repeated use of botting third party software and the ban sadly will remain permanent. We previously warned about the use of these programmes however they were then used again. Saldy this ban will not be overturned. If you do not agree with this policy then please feel free to contact csfeedback.eu@blizzard.com however it is unlikely the decision will be overturned.
Now we are a bunch of ppl sitting on teamspeak. They guided me to run an anti malware program but it didnt show anything.

Try the live chat option on the site. They seem pretty helpful on there. I know it is a wait but it is usually worth it. If it is your account they are banning, then they should have to tell you exactly what software they believe has been installed and give you a chance to remove this software. That would be true customer service. If they do not do that, then they are not fulfilling their obligation to you. If you are unaware of how you violated their terms of agreement, they should have to tell you what they think was done. Then, once you have resolved the issue, I would also have a GM be online with you when you log back in to let you know what you are doing that is getting flagged as suspicious behavior.
At least, if I were the Customer Service manager at Blizz, that is what I would be doing to my customers who line my pockets and pay my paychecks.

I already talked on the live chat ½ hour after i got banned
I got same message that my account was banned for repeated use of botting with clear evidence.
It is so frustrating. IRL i couldnt hurt a flie and I am very honest and i feel they simply dont believe me.
If they take my account I at least deserve to know what goes wrong....... I must have something on my pc or i must be doing something that is counted as botting.
The point in this is that I have not been botting and I feel overheard.
I dont think they will give me my account back when they dont want to talk to me or anything.
But yes
What you are writing with having a GM to be online with me could maybe solve the problem or find out what is happening. But they didnt offer me anything.
Sad thing is i cant even make a new account as same thing will happen. And my mother and my son will also not play wow anymore if I cant play wow. I just think this is not the right way to act towards a banned person.
Also If i wanted to use bots or something similar what ever that is then i wouldnt use my account where i have 10 chars and everything to Loose. This is sooo frustrating.

Let's get a few things cleared up....
.. they should have to tell you exactly what software they believe has been installed and give you a chance to remove this software.
This is not how Blizzard does business, they specifically do not give this information out as to prevent the people who create the botting programs from being able to use the information to circumvent Blizzard's monitoring systems.
.. If they take my account I at least deserve to know what goes wrong.......
This is also incorrect, in the
EULA
that we all agree to in order to play the game, it states:
Blizzard may terminate this Agreement at any time for any reason or no reason. Upon termination for any reason, all licenses granted herein shall immediately terminate and you must immediately and permanently destroy all copies of the Game in your possession and control and remove the Game Client from your hard drive.
Furthermore, it states in the
ToU
, which we also all agree to in order to play the game:
BLIZZARD MAY SUSPEND, TERMINATE, MODIFY, OR DELETE ANY BNET ACCOUNT OR WORLD OF WARCRAFT ACCOUNT AT ANY TIME FOR ANY REASON OR FOR NO REASON, WITH OR WITHOUT NOTICE TO YOU. For purposes of explanation and not limitation, most account suspensions, terminations and/or deletions are the result of violations of this Terms of Use or the EULA.
You were actually given notice that your account was in violation of these agreements, and Blizzard COULD have decided to uphold its initial decision. However, they reduced the ban to a 72 hour ban and did not permanently ban the account. It is important to note here that Blizzard does extensive vetting of any ban that they undertake and that the investigation process is an ongoing one and not one that can occur from someone getting disconnected while they were doing "farming" for materials.
At this time. it appears that your only avenue for resolution is to follow the instructions that Blizzard has given you:
If you do not agree with this policy then please feel free to contact csfeedback.eu@blizzard.com however it is unlikely the decision will be overturned.
Blizzard does not take the revocation of licenses (banning accounts) lightly and I would recommend that you read and review both the
EULA
and
ToU
, for WoW as well as for any other game that you choose to play in the future.
I wish that there was more that could be done to resolve your issue, but I do not know of anything else that can be done at this time.

They won't tell you how they know but they need to have proof that you were botting to ban you.
By proof I mean that they can tie down the activity to your computer and your internet connection.
This is a recurring issue on these forums, all I can suggest is that you have been hacked or somehow have 3rd party software on your PC.
A virus scan doesn't mean a thing, Virus scanners are so behind on the latest viruses that in most cases you might as well not even bother having one.
Unfortunately for you there is nothing much you can do, once an account has been banned then Blizzard are generally done with you as far as communication is concerned.
The first ban was a warning, and clearly something or someone has compromised your system.
You should do everything possible to ensure your system is clear, and then I think you probably need to start over again if you wish to play wow.

It has been posted here many times...I never botted or hacked or cheated, and I'm not saying you did or didn't.
You should be glad you got it down to a 72 hour ban frankly.
edit 4 edits bah
You didn't read the whole thing.
The initial ban was reduced to 72 hours, Then she was permabanned afterwards

Their has been problems with curse website and maybe since you said you used curse the hacker or hackers maybe using that website. Blizzard has sent notifications that their has been problems with that website you might want to delete that website from your system and make sure that all of it is completely out of your system.

Their has been problems with curse website and maybe since you said you used curse the hacker or hackers maybe using that website. Blizzard has sent notifications that their has been problems with that website you might want to delete that website from your system and make sure that all of it is completely out of your system.
You should maybe rephrase that.
There is nothing wrong with the Curse website, there is however a fake website out there that has a fake curse client. (which is a MiM trojan.)
This will explain in more detail:-
Blizzard had uncovered a fake version of the Curse Client that will mask a trojan (Disker & Disker64) on infected computers. This trojan is a Man in the Middle (MitM) attack that will obtain your Blizzard (specifically World of Warcraft) account information including your authenticator passcode. This infected Curse Client is downloaded from a fake version of the Curse Website. This site was appearing in searches for "curse client" on major search engines.
Always make sure that when you download the Curse Client or any addons from curse you are on the Curse official site (curse.com or curse.com/client). We work hard to make sure that your experience with Curse and out Client is safe.
If you have been infected or have downloaded the Curse Client within the last few weeks that may be the fake Curse Client please uninstall the Curse Client and follow this guide Ressie has written up. If you find you have been infected please follow this security guide.
Once again if you are download the Curse Client or addons from Curse make sure you are using the Official Site (curse.com or curse.com/client).
Source
OP, you may want to check that you do not have the above mentioned trojan on your system.
This
blue post on the official forums will tell you how to detect the trojan.

I do an extreme amount of farming. i have farmed arcane crystals for Thunderfury and Sulfuras, have flown around and mined mass quantities of ore for JC, killed pirates for 6 hours to raise goblin rep, etc. It does not get you flagged for botting.
Blizzard can specifically detect if an outside program is accessing or altering the program files while you play. Anything that does this is against the TOS, and can get you banned. This includes actual botting software, as well as software that alters how any of the models are displayed, that lets you affect the game environment, etc. A great number of people who get banned don't know that Blizzard is monitoring their PC, and so think that they get flagged because of how much gold, how many items, or how many kills they are racking up. But that's not how it happens.
I would guess that 90-95% of the time, people who claim they got banned for botting when they were just farming are lying. Not knowing that Blizzard detected the program directly, and not the activity pattern, they hope to convince someone they're innocent and get it overturned. Generally, when they find out that they were wrong about how much Blizzard can tell, they stop posting and the thread dies.
The other 5-10% of cases usually involve one of the following-
- A virus- Even if your anti-virus says you're clean, you might not be. Viruses that gather information from your computer like passwords, credit card numbers, personal info, etc. detect as accessing the game files and so read to Blizzard like a botting program. If this is the case, WoW should be the least of your worries because they also have access to information to commit identity theft, wipe out your bank account, etc. if you do any banking or store any of that information on the computer. Double check with a different anti-virus program, and check if anything has been going on with any of your other accounts.
- Crazy amounts of traveling, which leads you to log on from different regions or countries all the time might trigger something.
- If you have written macros that are unusual and detailed, (I heard once about someone getting banned for a pick-pockets macro), it might look like automated play to the Blizzard.
If you are someone who farms a lot, and you're worried still, you can always switch up the flight paths along which you are farming, occasionally queue for a pet battle, shoot the breeze in guild chat, etc. anything to make it look less repetitive couldn't hurt.

Hey sorry for not comenting on this earlier. Latest news here.
I have a son that is 18 years old he is playing together with friends in his room. They come with their computers an plays together.
One of them gave my son a Honorbot over a year ago when he was on a school for Young ppl and he used it at that time in a bg. He got banned and he got a warning. He never told me abou it.
In august he moves home Again to go to commercieal school and he forgot all about that bot.
I respect his privacy but des more I got frustrated by these rejections from blizzard des more sad i got and then my son told me that he got a ban over a year ago. I asked him if he still have it and he didnt know. We went looking and we found it . We made a screenshot of it and I removed it. I was so furious.
The worst thing for me here is I have been playing for many years now and I have never cheated in wow and blizzard doesnt want to listen to me at all. I have asked them for help already in Christmas so i could find out what was wrong and they didnt want to help me and I didnt know to look for.
I ran antimalware and i ran virus check. I made a DxDiag, a MSInfo despite i dont know what use they are for. I made a scanning of all my wow files that i also have a copy of.
But the fact is that I am getting rejectet every single time i try to talk to them. And I am telling the truth here. Why would i sacrifice over 20k achievmentpoints, 10 lvl 90 chars 5 with legendary cloak and much more. I have been playing this game so much for so long and now they just reject me instead of listening to me.
I cant let my son have visistors to play on their laptops here anymore because they will play on my IP adress. They have their privacy.
My biggest wish is to talk to a gamemaster that would like to help me out here and have the time for it because I am telling the truth.
I didnt get the last chance to appeal either as my email just get returned with mail delivery failure, and i cant make a ticket or a phonecall as they just say you are banned case closed.
I havent done anything wrong what can I do here ?
very frustrated and sad. I feel up against a wall.

With the information that you still had the bot on your computer and had to delete it, it's going to be nigh on impossible to prove what your motives were,
You may just have to move on and create a new account and start over.
Post by
englo
You misunderstood
I never ever used a bot and never had the bot on my pc.
It was on my sons Laptop. Already first time i was banned i asked them to help me to find out what it was i didnt even know what bots are called or anything i just checked my pc for everything. How on earth should i know that when others are playing from same IP that I can get banned?
I dont know much about computers. And I asked them to help me.
To proove anthing I need the time where they scannet my IP cause I was in raid all evening with my guild for example.
I just need to be heard here and not just judged I am despite its a game a human beeing with feelings.
And further more i got a mail where I could mail my last appeal but I just get it returned with delivery failure whats that?

Does your son share your account? Or did you (or he) ever log into your account from his laptop?
If not, and the ban is based on using the same IP, you should be able to convince Blizzard to lift the ban. That you stated in previous conversations with them that you attempted to check your computer for malware/forbidden software should help as well.
If on the other hand your son's laptop with the bot is somehow associated with your account, it will be much more difficult. However, explaining the whole situation, especially that it was the actions of a minor under your care will hopefully make some difference. I hope this can be straightened out.
However,
there is a lesson to be learned here:
In a situation like this, examine every computer and device that may be involved, and especially, talk to
every person
(family, roommates, friends with access to your account or computer) that might be involved. Searching or even formatting and reinstalling your own computer doesn't help at all if the cause is another household member's computer.

Me,and in fact a lot of people can vouch for Englo not using programs for botting.
She is an honest player, gathers her stuff by farming properly, and following the rules.
The only thing she wants it to be spoken to properly, and not with this sort of injustice...
Give her at least a proper explanation, and a chance to prove her innocence of this... TY

No my son has his own account and got banned some days when he was living at the school which is a year ago or maybe a bit more but they can see that his account got marked at that point.
if blizzard wants they can check it. Then he moves home and suddenly I get banned for farming. I have always been farming in this game and then suddenly this happens. As i wrote earlier i have been playing this game for many years.
I never used or looked in his laptop I have respected his privacy. I dont even know his password.
Blizzard is not giving me a chance here and I feel like a criminal. If I send a mail I get it returned, if i make a ticked they just answer case closed and if i try to get a phone call with them same happens.
I tried to appeal my ban 3 times to an email address i got in a mail from them but I get it returned every time.
I never gave anyone access to my account.
I have been so proud of my account. I have used so much time and have put so much effort in my account and they just take it. Check Englo on Tarren Mill I would never be so stupid to use a bot and Loose my account.

Sorry but this does not ring true.
Blizzard don't ban your account based on the activities of someone in your household with a different account.
Which is why you or indeed anyone banned can simply buy another copy of the game and start over.
Bans are account specific. (Is his game licence on your battlenet account by any chance?)
You also need to start seeing this from Blizzard's point of view.
How many times a day do you think they hear "My friend did it" or "My son/daughter did it"?
So whilst you might be credible, your pleas for leniency are just another line as far as Blizzard are concerned.
At this point you have little recourse but to start over and make sure your son does not have access to your account information.
