Favorite part of 2013 is getting to raid normals again with SoO after a long break, good times! Happy Holidays all
In game: On Wings of Nether I love my new mount.Real World: Marriage Equality in my home state of Utah!
Finally clearing Heroic Garrosh, and putting that terrible excuse for a warchief in his place(for now).
Finally achieving my Corrupted Fire Hawk by snagging the last achievement, Do A Barrel Roll, in Firelands. I'd been sitting on this achievement for years and time and again I could never find a PUG organized enough to complete it. When finally, an old friend appears out of nowhere, throws me an invite, and to my shock, we nailed it first attempt. It's not huge to everyone I know, but the sense of accomplishment and camaraderie that followed made my year. Thanks WoWhead for all you've done this year and Merry Christmas!
This is such a hard choice for me, actually...As silly as it may sound, I may have to choose going to see The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug. Seeing a female elf kick arse and take names (Tauriel) as part of one of the most epic on-screen action scenes since Kill Bill's Crazy 88 fight scene (and probably better than it just because I love elves) while clothed in sensible armor was just perfect. Furthermore, for the first time in my life, I sat down to a movie and rather than preview after preview of male leads in my favourite movie genres, at least half the previews centered on what appeared to be female leads instead. With Hollywood's "female leads don't sell action/fantasy/scifi/etc." excuse, it was something I didn't expect to see in my lifetime. I almost cried, especially contrasting it to last time I went to the movies and the previews made me very grumpy as yet again they were filled with chosen one guy does X despite the popularity of female-led action like The Hunger Games series (which I still haven't read/watched >.>).I spent nearly a lifetime, and all my childhood wanting for an awesome character like Tauriel to look up to. That movie gave me the character I'd been looking for all my childhood and then sweetened the deal with more promising kick-arse female-led scifi action story previews for this summer.
My favorite part of 2013 had to be my guild's first Heroic Lei Shen kill. We had so many 1-3% wipes and there was so much hype when we finally got the kill.
My favorite part of 2013 was probably Hearthstone, yet another card game me and my friends can enjoy and play together with.
2013 was great for me. I'd been unemployed for 2 years but in November I GOT A JOB! Plus I <3 Timeless Isle.
#1 accomplishment ingame was getting ashes of al'ar on my first solo run on christmas last year
My favourite part of 2013 in-game was raiding Siege of Org with great new guild mates!
Green fire.
My favourite part of 2013 was Blizzcon. I might not have been able to attend in person, but watching the coverage online had me bouncing around like a little boy again. All the new announcements have me even more pumped for the year to come!
The best part of 2013 was finally getting my legendary quest completed and getting my shiny cloak. There's nothing else like completing a chain quest and breathing a sigh of relief that it's finally done.
My favourite part of 2013 was staying up late one night with friends and guildies and flying all over wow and finding all the memorials and references to people and things we enjoyed outside of wow.
My lady and I hit our one year anniversary. Best achievement I unlocked all year :P
My favorite part of this year has to be the following: 1) The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug2) The wedding between two of my friends from church. 3) Finally getting a Razer Mouse and a gaming headset for Christmas!

2013 is the first year I have found someone from school/college that plays WoW as well. As you can imagine, the jokes about his dps are hilarious.
