Borderlands
Almost anything Claptrap says.
Borderlands 2
Almost anything Claptrap and Handsome Jack says.
Don't really remember specifics, but a lot of what is said is quite funny.

#361: I'm late for this but Thief II: The Metal Age. There were some seriously freak me out parts in that game, like sneaking (and that's what you do in the Thief games - you are NOT good at fighting stuff so hacking your way through parts if the game simply does not work most of the time) through a tomb and suddenly get angry ghosts with giant hammers coming out of the walls howling for your blood. The absolutely scariest moment I can remember from it was some underground mossy tunnel in the domain of a nature deity / spirit called The Trickster, which apart from being vicious, wierd and loving nature in various forms (including several varieties of monsters) is absolutely bat%^&* insane, which you had to sneak through to the tune of creepy as hell ambient sounds, howls of various things that could eat you alive and creepy music.
Honorable mention to Amnesia: The Dark Descent. My ex made me play through the demo for her because she didn't dare trying herself but wanted to see the game and even during day, with the blinds open, her standing behind me, a cat insisting on using the keyboard to scratch himself every so often and headset off that game was really, really creepy.
#362: There's probably several games that have given me more than their share of laughs but, thanks to a certain recent Steam sale, the only one I can think of is Saint's Row: The Third. Amazingly over the top story moments and relentless satire.
"How long you think until the chopper's here?"
"Oh, I don't know, maybe two waves of SWAT guys?"
"Sounds about right."
Edit: Not to mention the mere fact that you can, if you wanted to, use a giant dildo to kill most enemies in the game.

On The Rain-slick Precipice of Darkness - Episode 3 especially, and I have high hopes for 4 which I haven't played yet.
Brutal Legend - I love Jack Black, and I am pretty much the perfect example of that game's target audience.
Borderlands 2 - Tiny Tina especially, but everyone else too.
The Monkey Island series - My favorite adventure series of all time.

I saw this on Vs a long time ago; I own the game, but haven't played it much.
First time I saw it, I was laughing so hard I had tears in my eyes
....and I still have no idea why I was laughing that hard.
Always loved this scene.
And from earlier in the game
you're no zombie!
Anything that Thorn and Zorn say in FFIX...even when it's incredibly creepy. Also, the Moogles from the same game.
Sora and his interactions with Donald and Goofy.
Mortal Kombat's over the top fatalities always made me chuckle.

For me, 3 games have made me laugh more than any other game ever.
Dragon Age (1 and 2, and I'm sure 3 will be just as funny), Mass Effect (All 3 of them, but the third one takes the cake, specially the Citadel DLC) and Grand Theft Auto IV
Pure goldmines of comedy all 3 of them.
Dragon Age
:
Isabella and Varric are the main source of humor in this game, their innuendos and sex jokes are awesome.
These are my favorites:
Isabela: I hear he still wears the shackles of his old life...under his clothes. You know what they say about a man like that, don't you? ... He can't find a saw! (cackles) I had you there. You thought I was going to say something dirty! (she continues laughing while Hawke facepalms)
After Aveline gets married again, Isabela once more quips with this awesome banter:
Isabela: How's marriage been treating you, big girl?
Aveline: It's been good. No, great. I'd forgotten what it was like to -
Isabela: Be flipped ass-over-boobs and hammered like a bent nail?
Aveline:
To. Be.
LOVED
.
Isabela: Oh. Right. Of course.
(awkward long pause)
Aveline: Not that I'm complaining about the other thing.
And in general ANYTHING that sarcastic Hawke says. I really love Sarcastic hawke, s/he's one of my most favorite videogame protagonists ever.
This is one of my favorite lines of Sarcastic Hawke.
Merrill: I'm sorry. You're not really seeing my people at their best. We're a good people, who look out for each other. Just not today, it seems.
Hawke: But your clan is so delightful! I was thinking of inviting them all over for tea!
Merrill: I'm sure they'd never accept......... Oh, right. Sarcasm.
Mass Effect 3:
Meeting Conrad. In all 3 games he's always a nice source of humor, but the third game takes the prize home.
Shepard: Conrad, do you even have a wife?
Conrad: Oh yes! Yes, yes, yes... Well... no. But see-
Shepard: Conrad, if you have some kind of weird shrine of me, I will be very unhappy.
Conrad: It's just a poster and a few candles. It's very tasteful.
Shepard: Gah...
This next one I'll put it in spoilers, because its from the Citadel DLC. (Elhonna, if by chance you're reading this, DO NOT read into this spoiler :P At least not till you've played Citadel yourself)
Shepard's mortified expression at hearing how "I should go" sounds like.
When Clone!Shepard waves them goodbye and says "I should go" s/he locks the group up in a sealed vault, and while the rest of your teammates are worrying about your current predicament, all shepard can think is "Do I really sound like that?"
Its her delivery that sells it
Shepard: How come nobody told me about this before?! I'm open to feedback here!
Wrex: I thought it was some sort of saying among your people.
Watch in all its glory
here
Also Shepard finding out that the clone threw away the hamster
as seen here
And thirdly, the entire part on the Archive section, as this is the one bit in the whole game where you take your full squad into battle rather than just 2 of them. ALL of your squad vs a bunch of mercs. Goes as well as you'd expect for the mercs.
Between everyone trying to one up each other, the friendly rivalry between the two teams (codenamed "Mako" and "Hammerhead"), Wrex being along for the ride, and Javik blatantly not caring about the team rivalry at all (therefore trash talking everybody) it is a gold mine of hilarity. Specially due to the oneliners they keep shooting as they curb-stomp the enemy.
Grand Theft Auto IV
Hard to pin just one moment, usually any intro to brucie's missions, where he manages to get himself hurt in one way or another, and just Niko interacting with Roman.
Also, after having done a few missions for one of the most annoying characters ever, Manny Escuela, your next boss tells you that working for her isn't gonna be as easy as working for manny. Niko disagrees. When asked why, he responds "Because I wont have to hear him talk" :P that line really cracked me up.

Interest
Hahahahaha. I have a few.
1.
Fire Emblem Awakening
So many support conversations and dialogue that make me crack up.
Try this one.
This is one game I legitimately laughed out loud multiple times at.
2.
Anything made by Zeboyd Games
This speaks for itself. The comical dialogue in the RPGs they make are absolutely side-splitting.
3.
Resonance of Fate
Speaks for itself.
Isn't the only cutscene that makes me crack up either. Also worth pointing out is I never really played the game.
4.
World of Warcraft
Is it cheating to say I found some of the quests hilarious? What about various moments in PvE and PvP? Glitches? Etc?
5.
League of Legends
Toxic players are funny. So are glitches.

#363: Videogame Emotions. Volume 3: Sadness.
So, today's question: Name the saddest videogame moments you can remember. They may or may not have made you cry, but that's not required. It suffices if its simply a moving, sad, depressing moment.
No limit here. Min is 1, Max is whatever you want.
I'll go first. (be warned, This is a Death topic, so massive spoilers ahead for all the games I'm mentioning)
By far and wide, saddest moment I've ever had in a videogame was in
Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 4.
In that game, there's the most cheerful, perky, upbeat, cute, adorable little girl you'll EVER see in a videogame. Nanako. She's adorable, and will simply melt your heart away. And at one point on the game...... she dies. And its heartwrenching.
Very few games/movies/books/tvshows can make me cry. My life experiences have somewhat hardened me, and as a result, I don't cry often. When I saw poor nanako die, I cried buckets. I guess it struck a nerve in me because I am a parent and nanako is uncanningly similar to my own daughter (both in appereance and SPECIALLY in personality) so yeah =/ I couldn't help but see my annie in nanako at all times. Worse yet nanako can stay dead depending on your choices in the game, though she does come back to life at the sacrifice of another character.
Mass Effect 3
Good god in heaven, bioware dind't pulled any punches in this game, and made sure to strike almost every player out there.
A lot of good characters die in this game, and to this day, this is the game that has made me cry for reals more than any other. Sure persona 4 had the saddest and most depressing moment ever, but it was just 1. Mass Effect 3 had a whooping SIX moments that really made me sad, 4 of them drew actual tears.
Mordin's death, Thane's death, Legion's death, Anderson's death, and also the deaths of Tali and Wrex.
Mind you, the last 2 I never saw them on actual gameplay, I couldn't go through with betraying wrex, and I successfully resolved the conflict on rannoch, so both tali and wrex lived in my game, but I saw their deaths in youtube, and it was devastating. Specially Wrex.
Metal Gear Solid 3
The death of The Boss. T_T damn you kojima, you couldn't had made her a cookiecutter villain could you? ohh no, you had to make her the most grandiose character ever made, and then make us pull the trigger. Literally, no cutscene to do it for us, WE have to pull that trigger. That aint right man U_U
Final Fantasy VII
Yes yes, you all know this one already. Aerith's death. She's a likable character with a great personality, and a sunny disposition, so her death, which came the frick out of nowhere, was a huge blow for me.
Dragon Age 2
The death of Hawke's mother. I took 2 bullets and 2 years in hell for my own mother, to save her from an animal that was beating her to death, so I can't help it but put myself on Hawke's shoes when his/her mom gets kidnapped and no matter what you do, you CAN'T save her. Not only she dies, she does so in the most horrible blood-chilling nightmarish way imaginable. That one really got me hard. As much as people harp against Dragon Age 2 to no end, for me it was a great game, even if it fell short of its predecessor in some ways.

The telltale walking dead game, particularly at the end of ep. 5.
I just couldn't get myself to kill Lee :(
ME 3: Mordin's death, and Tali's and Wrex's which i saw on youtube.
Far Cry 3: The end where you save your friends, and where Dennis stabs Citra by accident. The main theme that plays through this really sells it, though.

ME 3: Mordin's death
Anyone who didn't cried, didn't get misty-eyed, or even choke up a little bit, its a confirmed fact that
YOU HAVE NO SOUL!!!!!!
and Tali's and Wrex's which i saw on youtube.
At the same time, I think 99% of ME3's players saw these deaths on youtube. The remaining 1% being those who had to bravely stomach it purely for the sake of recording it and sparing others the gutwrenching experience of having to do it themselves. For which I take my hat off for them you brave brave soldiers.
I, for the life of me, COULD NOT bring myself to do it. And I was about to betray wrex on tuchanka, from an instory perspective, my shepard was desperate to get any help to save earth and while she hated herself for doing it, she was willing to sacrifice wrex and the krogan to do so. Then I got to the elevator, and when the time came to quite literally shoot mordin in the back.................... I just couldn't do it :S I could not had pressed that mouse click even at gunpoint.
And tali's death is pure evil, as its completely avoidable, and quite easy to do it in fact. The only way for her to die is if you purposely make it happen. >_> and you'd have to be a cold-blooded sadist to do it unless it was just to spare others the pain by posting it on youtube.
