"I believe that goes for all of us," Vashadya agreed quietly, without resentment, looking to Gurka meaningfully.

"Well, I suppose we should start moving..." Gurka muttered finally, having nothing more to say. "Let's go."

Vashadya turned and followed the two, sparing the other members of their party a glance.

Kitanga slowly followed after, shifting into spirit wolf form and sticking closely behind Silver-Pelt. Dag'rema followed on foot, shivering slightly.

Gurka looked ahead to the village Rotha had mentioned, clenching her fists slightly, unsure of what to expect. Kitanga merely stayed near Silver-Pelt, having never been to this particular settlement before. Dag'rema stayed in the rear, looking cold and pale.

Vashadya noted Dag'rema's appearance with concern. "Cold?" the night elf inquired, though she suspected otherwise.

If Vashadya was taken aback, the priestess certainly managed to hide it. "It saddens me to see others suffer alone," she answered earnestly, then lowered her voice further, "and I know how it feels."

"Do you?" Dag'rema growled skeptically. "I find it hard to believe that a Night Elf would have any experience with Fel withdrawal," she added, pausing. "A Blood Elf, perhaps, but not a mag'har like you."

"Not Fel, Shadow," Vashadya answered quietly, also pausing, then elaborated with some hesitation, realizing that alone would not satisfy the warlock as far as explanations went. "I was possessed by a wounded Shalla'minar - a greater void demon - of my unwitting summoning, brought forth by my hurt and hate..."
"Whenever I failed to sate its hunger," the priestess pressed herself to continue, remembering, the faintest hint of a grimace flashing across the night elf's face before being suppressed, "be it with my energy or that of others, I felt its pain... But when I did sate it, with whatever I could muster, it only hungered for more... Sometimes I would lie awake and it would be all I could think of, and always I surrendered to it in the end, if only to buy myself a temporary respite... but it turned me into more of a monster, and I cursed the Goddess for forsaking me."

Dag'rema murmured something incomprehensible, still scowling. "My mother was a warlock," she answered, pain in her voice. "She was the one who taught me. She hurt me--burned me, cut me..." she paused, her voice trailing off as she looked at the ground. "I hated her so much..." she snarled, knuckles whitening around her staff. "I cut her throat in her sleep and took her soul. I hate what she turned me into, but I have so much hate inside me I don't know what else to do with it."
Gurka meanwhile headed up the front of the group beside Rotha and stared down the short guards. "You don't want any trouble from us," she warned.

Kitanga made sure to stay near the children, eager to keep them from getting upset again. Though granted with what they'd been through, she didn't anticipate it being an easy task.
Gurka meanwhile stayed close to Rotha, towering over the goblins and gnomes, and waiting for one of them to make a move.

"And you do not know who to turn to?" Vashadya offered, a gentleness in her tone, taking care to adjust her volume in the presence of the shorter humanoids, in order to retain a semblance of privacy.

Dag'rema sighed in frustration. "I know you want to help me," she answered, trying to moderate her tone. "I know you think you can change me," she added, pausing and taking a deep breath, "but I can't. I don't feel compassion, or love, or whatever else you people feel. All I feel anymore is rage and pain and hate, and it's festering inside me. I've killed people, and it felt good. How can you fix that?" she asked, looking up at the elf. "Do you know why I pledged fealty to the Legion? It wasn't for power, unlike most other warlocks. I believe in their goal of wiping the universe clean. Once there's nothing left but silent emptiness, there won't be anything left to hate, and then I can finally rest and die," she whispered.
