The Night Elf sheathed her two daggers and arose to her two feet, then she made her way to the gnome.

"Nimrod!" Kalina called over the angry roaring of the bears. "Let's go!"
She started in the direction of the gnome, a plan forming in her head. It wasn't a particularly good plan.

Elwynn Forest
Gregg looked on incredulously, seeing Lyshalis was still alive enough to move towards him.
Nimrod leapt down several ledges while heading back to the rest of the group, managing to dislodge a large number of stones as he went.

The young priest hit the fetid waters with a slight splash. He coughed at the stench, holding his sleeve over his nose while he peered about the cavernous tunnels anxiously for Elsa. Only the thin pool of sunlight from above to guide him.

"Over here!" Elsa called back, her eyes having had more time to adjust to the darkness than Peter's. Unlike the priest she stood with her legs spread slightly farther apart than usual, allowing her to keep them out of the deepest part of the sewage, while somehow maintaining perfect balance on the slime-encrusted stones.

Peter squinted, gradually managing to make out her form in the suffocating darkness. He slipped and stumbled along the drier though slimy stone, spending half his time ankle deep in sewage and the rest letting the foul smelling liquid pour out of his shoes.
He flinched as his call of: "Coming!" echoed in the stone halls.

Elsa sighed and shook her head, "you'll be half covered in sewage by the time we find any rats," she remarked, "try using your hammer."

Peter held his hammer, looking at the thief in confusion. "How?"

"Like a walking stick," Elsa suggested. "That or you'd better learn to balance like this," she added, referring to her own stance, "we haven't even reached the worst part yet."

Peter brightened at once. "Never thought of that! Of course, so obvious. But, didn't think of it. You did. Thank you," he said. He at once attempted it and, after a few errors eventually managed to secure himself something of a support. He smiled at his accomplishment, beaming at Elsa.

Elsa contemplated making a comment at Peter's expense, but decided against it. "Tell me if you see any rats, especially ones that look particularly big or cunning," she told him instead.

Max heaved his satchel further onto his shoulder as the opressive air of Duskwood closed in around him. It was odd how rapidly the whole place seemed to enclose once one passed the bridge. Wasted trees creeping alongside the trail, while a gloomy air suffusing the whole of the place and a suffering sky hanging overhead, barely visible between the barren tree branches which draped overhead. Some crows cawed, taking flight nearby with a rustle of wings and sending the illusionist's eyes darting that way. Such were the only sounds worth hearing in this dead land.
He scowled when naught could be seen but a single black feather drifting towards the earth. "Damn witch," he grumbled caustically, moving back along the crudely cobbled road. "Why'd she have to live so far out here anyway? This place can't exactly be safe. Worgen, wolves, the dead, the living! What isn't around here that won't try and kill you?" He continued on for a moment in silence. "I wonder how she's doing these days...?" At the last thought he scowled shook his head harshly.
No time for reminiscences.

Maax paused at the roar from within the encroaching woods. he quirked an eyebrow curiously. Common sense dictated that he ignore it or, if anything, run. But Max's life had hardly been common. And having no sense had shielded him well from a life of nonsense imposing itself upon him with horrid regularity. Carefully, he slipped in amongst the warped trunks of the trees.

Max eased himself through the woods. A break temporarily granted him a view of a small clearing and his brow furrowed in surprise. A Harpy? What was one of those doing out in Duskwood? They weren't from around here, if eh recalled. he slipped behind a tree and peeked out, watching the hybrid bird and woman carefully. Already he was thinking of what this new information could be sued for.

Supported by his hammer, Peter followed Elsa. Though somewhat slower than the thief, he did his best to keep up. All the while watching fro a rat.
