DId you use paypal or a debit/credit card? If you used a debit/credit card issued by your bank, you can call the bank and ask them to reverse the charges as you did not receive what you paid for and they will then charge the company the amount you paid.
If you used Paypal, contact Paypal support.
That being said, there are so many free guides out there (We have TONS here on wowhead) that it is almost asinine to pay for things like this. And anyone charging $40 to tell you to get gathering professions and work the AH is just there to scam your hard earned money.

I second that there is so much information out there for free, I can't imagine paying for a guide for WoW. I've never even heard of this website you're talking about, but even the loading screen says to be wary of companies offering paid services in relation to WoW. There are a lot of people who will help answer questions about making gold and leveling without ripping you off.
That being said, I don't know that he has standing to get a refund. If he ordered the guide, and they can prove he received it, the credit card may not give him the refund. It's not a scam if you don't like the product, as long as there isn't any actual misrepresentation involved. Also, the guide not making sense might be for a number of reasons that have less to do with the guide's accuracy than with the purchaser not being very familiar with some of the items and systems they're discussing, of them explaining their strategy using various formulas that some readers might find confusing.
What I can say, is that if you're looking for good, free advice on making gold, Wowhead is a good place to be.

@Maett- I imagine it can be confusing when a lot of the terms we use are new to you.
"Playing the AH" means keeping an eye out for stuff that people post very low, and buying it to resell for normal value. Sometimes there's nothing, sometimes you get lucky, but you can make decent gold that way.
Gathering professions are nice too- leather sells for a lot but is more time consuming to farm (in my experience) than herbs and ore. Herbs and ore sell really well too. There were other threads people made where I laid out much more detailed tips on making money, but I'm not sure how old they are. Let me dig and see if I can find one.
EDIT:
Here
is a general breakdown of how to get the most gold for your playtime based on what you're making or picking up (in my experience), without farming anything specific. If you want to actively farm things just for gold, let me know what level you are and I can make suggestions.

It's unlikely that you'll get a refund. You just can't issue a chargeback because you don't like the product you bought. The retailer just has to prove you downloaded the product and they'll reject the chargeback.
OP: as others have said, there is really no need to buy a guide, as there is plenty of information around. You aren't going to be making 10,000s gold in a short while anyway. However, you can make some by:
- get your professions to max and start selling making and gear that is in demand.
- quest a lot, especially dailies
- don't buy any gear for yourself, get it from runs or rep.
- get an auction addon (auctioneer, auctionator, etc) and scan to get an idea of market prices and be there to snap up any underpriced items
- create gatherers and sell mining/herb/leather

OP paid $37 for information that we would have given for free.
No sympathy for OP.

In case you missed it....THIS.
I would assume that you had have used one of the 2 methods of payment (I can't think of any other "mainstream" method of payment over the internet).
Just decline / dispute the charge. It might take 30 minutes of your time to file a dispute, and for $37, that would be worth the time. It also helps, if even a tiny bit, to get ripoff artists like this from selling their crap to uninformed buyers.

Wait...you ask for a gold guide that is a digital read. Read it and claim that it doesn't make sense and they are suppose to believe that and give you your money back O.o
True or not...it doesn't matter.
Everybody could claim the same thing just to get their money back. Who runs a business like that.
Chalk that 37 dollars up to experience. Just play the game. The gold will come to you over time. Go have some fun.
In time as you learn your professions..you will learn what is in demand..this is how you will corner the market and make oodles of gold.
Let me just give you one example. If you have a toon that farms herbs, keep an eye on purple lotus.
When the auction house is empty...farm it. It only grows in one zone and then only in specific locations and most players are to lazy to go there to farm it or don't even know where to look.
On such occasions I've managed to sell a stack for 700 gold+.
Ill keep doing this until the AH watchers step in to fill the void and then stacks of it will show up and kill the price. Move on.
There is your freebie. :)
