Kiran Hartford, Koran Lighthammer
Zeppelin, Open Sea
"Rain is good." Kiran said, lifting his face...then grumbled and lowered it. "Rain through clouds of soot and ash, not so much." He muttered as Koran passed him a rain cape.

Character: Kef
Location: Stormwind
"Alright, thank you," Kef told the man. "As promised, I'll tell you what I know," she said. "I've been watching the Horde for some time, and as you know, there are several paramilitary groups that have formed in response to Warchief Thura's fierce upholding of the peace, The Trueborn, Blood Repaid, and The Sons of Hellscream, chief among them."
"Most people know about those. The Horde has been stamping them out wherever they surface, often with help from the Alliance's SI:7 agency."
"Yes, but I've been doing some digging, keeping my ears open. Something has changed. Previously, all three organizations refused to settle their differences or work together, and that made it easy for the Horde to keep them down. Now, I haven't heard anything conclusive about why, but all of a sudden, out of the blue, they're so hostile towards each other anymore. No one's seen them actually working together, but they're certainly not enemies anymore. Something big is coming."
"Very interesting..."

William looked up as the rain started, feeling it against his skin. He was in the middle of following the girl. He reached the end of his shortcut and stepped out in front of the girl, Phil cutting her off from behind.
"Hello."

Koran moved after Hazel, and Kiran raised an eyebrow at Vrell, then gave a mock half-bow, since he couldn't bend all the way forward. "After you lady of the Sands." He said with a grin, adding a flourish of his arms in the direction of the gangplank.

"Normal? Pshaw," Zach scoffed, taking another turn and sending them towards the docks. They managed to reach them without incident, yet, but Zach was wary as he got out of the GP. "I'd say something like 'be careful' but you'd probably just smack me," he said quietly.

"Joy is me," Alnerigo deadpanned, following the others down. "Ugh," he said, wrinkling his nose. "This is a smell I know well."
Character
: Mr. January
Location
: Gilneas City
As soon as he had entered Gilneas City, January passed a hand over his face. His face turned into lines of golden writing, which dissipated, removing the elven disguise and revealing the man as he was before. As a final touch, he placed a bowler hat on his head.
His driver stopped at his favorite cafe, and January entered, taking a seat at a table. As detailed in the letter he had sent to Walter, he expected the doctor to meet him there.

"How was training?" Serenade called. He was sitting with his feet resting on a table, his chair back on two legs, holding a newspaper.

Character:
Leo Prometheus, Sindry
Location:
Open Sky
The clouds drifted by the window of the flight deck like a herd of black sheep, night giving the skies a peculiar dark sheen. The stars were visible in the distance, which the first mate, a young fresh faced half-elf newly remarked on pleasantly.
"Don't stare at them too long. Many a pilot missed a warning light from another zeppelin in the early days because he thought they were stars," the captain, a burly human remarked gruffly.
A sudden knocking on the door drew their attention. The captain jerked his head at the door in silent order, to which the co pilot sighed reluctantly and rose. He peered through the window on the door, noticing a bellhop on the other side.
"Yeah?"
"Excuse me, captain, but I've got your coffee."
"We don't get our coffee yet," the copilot replied, preening somewhat after being called captain.
"The, um, service room is somewhat swamped tonight. They figured it would be best to deliver it now before the rush."
"Just open the damn thing!" The pilot barked from his seat.
"Oh! Well that was smart of them," the copilot said, ignoring the rough voice of the captain as he turned the lock of the door.

Character: Nexus
Location: Sky
Nexus readied her weapon and prepared to dash in and block the radio.
Character: Orpheus
"Hellooooo Azeroth! This is your good pal Orpheus speaking, broadcasting live from scenic Middle of Nowhere. I've got a weather report from Stratholme: Smoky, with a chance of horrible fires.
Well shoot, that doesn't sound good.
Anyway, while we try to figure out what happened, I actually managed to secure an interview with the man who started a revolution, Mister... uh..."
"Technus, please. Doctor Technus. I hope you do not mind that I use a pseudonym, but I feel it may be necessary. Of course, considering recent events it would seem I was perfectly justified in doing so."
"What makes you say that? Are you suggesting the mages caused the fires?"
"Considering the scale of the initial explosion and flames, I'm afraid I do. No one else had a reason for destroying that building, and on its grand opening no less! There wasn't anything inside that could have created such an explosion naturally either. But, that is not the only reason for my suspicion...still, I think you had some questions for me?"
"Indeed, I did, actually.
First off, besides the reasons you gave in your speech, y'know, about magic being uncontrolled and almost causing the end of the world dozens of times, what made you actually get up there and give your speech then? In other words, why now?"
"Well Mr.Orpheus, the simple fact is we can do without it only now. The world has changed since the wars, when magic was a necessary fart of life. But now, industry grows on the backs of machines, travel without the need of portals is possible, and we do not even need magic for the creation of Artificial Intelligences, as you yourself reported on not so long ago. That is to name but a few of science's advances.."
"And what, precisely, are the goals of your movement? Are you trying to encourage political shift, or something more drastic? Someone in your position would want to avoid looking like an extremist, I would imagine."
"I do not try to be an extremist, but the simple fact is that something must change. Our goals are simple. We wish for the magic schools to be moderated, that they not be given free reign to do as they please. The governments of the world must be willing to take charge of these destructive individuals, show some backbone in the face of these things. And if mages are not willing to be taken into account, then yes, force may need to be exerted. Wouldn't it have been better, say, if the Kirin Tor had not simply banished Kel'Thuzard when he was caught playing with necromancy?"
"Mmm, interesting. And how many supporters have you gained so far? To put it simply, how much power is there behind your movement?"
"Well, we have tremendous backing form the Night Elves who still reside in their ancestral homes. They don't necessarily believe in the industrial aspect of our movement, but they are supportive of our hard line on magic users, particularly recalling the damage they witnessed it bringing. Their sister state, however, is torn in indecision. The gnomes are largely on our side, most of their magic users using their skill to supplement their technology anyway. We have a fair amount of support with the dwarves of Ironforge, though their brothers in Blackrock are still on the fence. As for the human lands, well, they are still mostly split down the middle. Save for New Lordaeron, which is still reeling from what occurred in Stratholme. Only time will tell where it goes from there. The high elves, though, have been less than supportive. The same with the trolls.
As for the rest of Kalimdor, the tauren are silently supportive, the orcs, however, seem to be split into all number of different camps depending on whether they include shamanism and the like with the arcane. Which is unfortunate but understandable. Goblins are, of course, in favour as long as they can turn a profit.
To put it simply, it is a difficult issue which many still struggle to come to terms with. I only hope nothing like what happened last night upsets the balance further."
"I see. Well, I think that's it for tonight. Anything you wanted to say to our listeners before you go?"
"Yes I do. Hey honey! It's me! Daddy! How you doing? I'm on that show you like! Make sure you get you keep an eye on your brother. And son, don't do anything I wouldn't do. Love you guys!"
"Well then, that should be it. Thank you for joining us, doctor.
And there you have it. Feel free to join the discussion and send in a short voicemail ((skreeran@hotmail.com)) and I'll be sure to air it next time!
Stay wild, Azeroth."

Kiran Hartford, Koran Lighthammer, The Trio, The Pack
Gilneas
"Well makes sense to go down from here." Kiran said with a grin at Vrell. The half-elf lead her down the stairs from the zeppelin tower, looking over at the air field were there were a half dozen or so flying machines. Koran followed along, smiling behind his beard at the two half-elves.
"Damn it." Lobo swore as they arrived at the most recent crime scene, and found the building burned to the ground.
"Strangest thing; building seemed to burn from the inside out and from the ground up." A worgen told Lupe, who nodded making notes, then headed over to her father.
"How many dead this time?" Yuri asked Sirius who shook his head.
"Far too many." The Druid said.
"Did we really have to burn it?" Destro asked, the trio looking down at the Pack and the fire brigade.
"Of course we did." Slayer said, rewrapping his bandages. "You made a mistake, leaving your blood like that." He told her, looking pointedly at her hand, which still had a cut opened across the back. "With that, they could have tracked us."
"It doesn't matter." Midnight said, her face hidden by her cloak as she looked around, a shadow of doubt in her eyes. "Only a few more, then we leave....there's something going on, and I'm worried." She told them, then turned and headed for the fire escape, to get back to ground level.
Arturo Glass, Pamela Windmoon
Open Sea
"Coming in for a landing landing landing." Arturo said, aiming the plane at the large vessel floating below them. The ship was gigantic, looking like a cross between a boat and an oil platform.
"Make sure you don't crash." Pamela said lazily, and the gnome gave her a wicked grin as he landed with barely a bump. The two quickly left the machine as a pair of tugs came up and pulled it off into the hanger.
The high elf sighed, stretching, and enjoying the look of a few of the crewmen as she headed up towards the bridge, Arturo right behind her, the gnome apparently having an argument with himself as he clutched the mechanognome arm tightly to his body.

"So, coffee-ee!" the copilot began to scream as a hand grabbed him by the face. He jerked, electricity coursing through his frame from Leo's grip until it abruptly faded, the copilot dropping heavily to the ground in unconsciousness.
"The fel!" The captain began, rising from his seat at the cry and reaching for a gun holstered beside his chair. A knife flashed through the air, the rounded pummel striking the mans hand and causing him to drop the weapon with a cry of surprise.
Character:
Richard, Thrag, Cleaver
Location:
Stratholme
"Road trip!" Richard cried merrily as he planted his foot on the pedal of his three wheeled motorbike, the sturdy vehicle starting with a roar. Behind him, Cleaver did the same, Thrag holding down his hat with a sleeve hidden arm from hsi sidecar as they took to the road. With a rumble, a pair of large trucks with thick, canvas backs following suit.. With the motorbikes leading, the convoy soon sped out of the airport's gate, leaving behind a large cargo airship, the symbol of a gear and two wrenches crossed emblazoned on the side.
Character:
Pyre, Dr. Prometheus Sr.
Location:
Stratholme
Dr Prometheus watched the vehicles take off from the front window of the cargoship, lightly rolling the microphone he had just been using between his fingers, considering the broadcast he had just participated in. He smiled, replacing the microphone on the desk before easing back in the captains seat.
"Now, let's go meet up with Verden. I have a date with some mana bombs, and would just hate to be late." He smiled darkly as the airship slowly began to rise into the sky, the ash choked skies of Stratholme parting beneath its bulk, soon hiding it beneath its dark veil.

William sighed when he looked up and noticed the girl was already long gone. "That's the last time I bow when trying to get someone to stop." He readjusted his top hat and looked in the direction the girl went. "Now I'm even more curious than before. I'm going to end up like the cat one of these days, hey Phil?"
"Baaaa." Phil bleated in acknowledgement.
"You're supposed to disagree with that." He said, glaring at his goat.

"And we'll do that how?" Kiran asked, looking at the others. "I mean, if we just start asking, we may end up getting fingered as being part of it, even though we just arrived."
"Could ask at the port bar." Koran suggested, pointing at a building across from the main terminal entrance. "Seems like a good place to start."
