In short, we don't know what the story will bring. Am I the only one who thinks this is a good thing?

I already posted this on the Lore&RP section but what the hell I'll repost it here just in case.
"We don't have planned to add pandarens in the game except in maybe comics or easter eggs"
that phrase rings a bell? that was them, denying that Mist of Pandaria was the next expansion for wow, they very specifically said that they would not add pandarens in an official way to the game.
Turns out, it was just red herring to keep the game "secret"
We all know Thrall is gonna be warchief again, they're just trying to use the good ol' "Red Herring" again to try to keep us in suspense. But the truth is, this time it lacks validity. WHO ELSE could possibly end up as warchief?
With garrosh we kinda saw it coming because he was groomed into the role for 2 expansions and several books. They shoved him in our faces during most of WOTLK, and placed him on every comic, and book ever since he made his debut.
But we haven't seen another orc being groomed this way to be placed into the role of the warchief. Replacing a leader is a tricky business, if you just pull someone out of thin air, he or she won't be well received. Replacing Bolvar with Varian came out of nowhere, but since vanilla players were informed that Bolvar and Anduin were temporary leaders and that at some point the real king would return.
Other than Bolvar, the other replaced leader was Cairne, and yes, his replacement dind't had much grooming, but again, Cairne had a son, not very fleshed out, since his appearances were very limited, but still a son. Magni also had a relative that could take his place (Sorta) with Muradin.
But this leads us back to Thrall. Since he has no sons (yet) nor any siblings, then whoever takes his place as warchief has to be groomed for the role, and as I've said before, nobody has been groomed for it whatsoever. Saurfang is too old, Draenosh is dead, and the rest of the orcs play roles so small, most players don't even know their names.
So yes, this is just Red Herring to try and pretend someone else is gonna be the warchief, just as they used Red Herring with MoP to try and keep players guessing what expac would come next.
So yes, stop panicking, they just want us to speculate like fools over who's gonna be the next warchief, while at the same time keeping the post kinda ambiguous to prevent accusations of lying.

I agree with rank. The CMs and devs have been hyping up Thralls return as warchief for a while now and then suddenly saying "Nope, not happening"?
I don't buy it.

and here it is, in case you need more proof.

Remember this? because I do.
Remember good ol' Tom Chilton saying how the rumors of MoP were "grossly overhyped" and that "when we do anything panda-related it's going to be a comic book or a figurine or something like that."?
Cuz I do.
That was classic red herring to keep players guessing what the next expac would be. And many of us (myself included) took the bait and simply dismissed MoP as nothing more than maybe a mini-game planned for blizzcon or something like that.
Not anymore.
This time, I aint biting the red herring.

Actually that was denial a red herring is when clues are left to mislead. For example a targeted execution is staged to look as though it were a random act of violence with robbery as a motive drawing attention away from the real killers motivation.

That Thrall will not be back in a position of power in MoP: Mal maybe the top Druid in the world, but he's still found as a quest giver in Darkshore for Alliance only, and is still by his wife's side in Darnassus.
I also doubt that the pet of Metzen will not end up as the big boss of the Horde again; we all know how he feels about Thrall.

As said in pretty much every other thread about this: The Orc race will not follow a non-orc leader.

They get some help from the Apothecaries, and the newfangled Forsaken Valkyries and make a patchwork construct out of every horde leader.

Well, it worked out so well for Cobra, I don't see why the Horde shouldn't go this route!

Me: "Thanks for the heals." The healer: "What, did I miss you?" Me. "No, I mean it, thanks for the heals."
When did we start assuming that a compliment is sarcastic?
lol i love it
