101. Sex, including masturbation.
Corrections
just completely put me off the entire concept (well and
this
for the latter). Now if only there were a similar book for the internet, maybe I'd have a job... Well, I have been applying to places and I'm limiting my time by visiting the Straight Dope and wowhead only once a day. I just catch up on all the threads that one visit.
102. 9, some girl kissed me. 21 reciprocal.

101 - internet access. I'd be happy enough watching TV and doing work the old-fashioned way without internet. If anything, it'd make me happier, because it'd mean I wouldn't get emails over the weekend from work.
It'd be very hard to have kids without sex though, which is something I'm looking forward to at some point in the future.
102. Early teens, probably around 14-15 or so, as far as reciprocal kissing goes. Highly awkward sort of affair, neither of us really knew how to instigate it or what to do.

ever since I was a kid, I've always been way too shy around girls, so I never had a girlfriend or anything. My first kiss was at the advanced age of 24.
When Reina and I started dating, I wanted to give her a surprise since her birthday was so near. I gave her a serenade with one of her favorite Anime songs (She's as much an avid fan of anime as I am, perhaps even more than I am xD).
The song was "
Nunca Sola Estaras
" from Dragon Ball GT. Yep, the latin american version of that show had a very romantic song at the end, and not only Reina loved the song, after I finished it, she pounced me and planted me a big smooch =D
I'm never EVER forgetting that night for as long as I live.
Nice story Rank!

For a few minutes, I was lost in memories here. Good old times when me and my ex-gf actually liked each other a lot.
First time we kissed, it was after a longer while that we didn't see each other, because she was sick and then she had a lot of work for school to do. We used to chat about how we miss each other and stuff all the time. Then finally we were here at my place, chillin' on the couch, talking about things, then there was a moment of silence, and then we jumped@each other and were kissing for like two hours.
Gosh. Kissing is one of my most favourite things in the world. Oh and I was freshly 18. It was like a week after my birthday.

# 103- How do you think you'll do things differently than you parents, in terms of major life choices and over-arching moral and world views?
Post by
Azazel
I'll teach my kids how to help themselves, to be able to do things on their own. They did that with me, but my younger brothers, well...
And I won't force them to believe anything. I won't indoctrinate them to be atheists, I want them to make their own choices. My parents didn't let me choose.

Well I probably won't have kids, but if I do, I won't disappear from the face of the earth like my father has, and won't be a heroin addict like my mother was.I love my kids.

One thing I'd do differently than my parents is allowing my kids to be more involved in extracurricular. Throughout elementary school, I wasn't given the chance to do sports or learn piano, whereas all my friends got to. It even made me feel sad back then
Other then that, my parents did a good job raising my sisters and I. I wouldn't change my upbringing for anything else.

That's a rubbish deal Rystrave. What stopped you from learning how to play sports and music? Your parents, the school, having to pay money to do it? I very much hope to hear a recording of you playing something on a keyboard by this time next year.
I lived 20 miles from town, so going/staying in town after work/school were over wasn't something my parents liked doing. Even during the summer, I was stuck at home. I was happy to grow older and get my license at 15 so I could start doing things I wanted with my friend's.

My dad and I are different as the sun and the moon, so I guess there's that. That was the only nice way of saying I'm absolutely nothing like my dad and hope to not be anything like him.

My parents separated when I was 12, hopefully I won't have to put my children through that. My dads initial response to any time I do something that he doesn't like is anger, I am pretty much the polar opposite of him in that regard, at the same time he did a great job letting me learn from my own mistakes, he was the first person i smoked weed with, and because of that i knew what to expect when i encountered it in other situations.
My mom on the other hand was completely controlling with my life (this was the reason my dad split up with her, because he didn't have a say with what happened to me), because of this it drove us apart. I've forgiven her now (mostly), but i know that i will let my kids have more leeway with their own lives.
Also I will give my kids a chance to learn music and sports from a young age, something that i wish i could have been able to do.
On the topic of religion, I am an athiest, but I will let my kids make there own choice on religion.

The NEW QOTD Thread: #103- How do you think you'll do things differently than your parents?
Well for one I won't perpetuate the Asian parents stereotype....
by not having kids.

Honestly, the biggest thing is I won't divorce. I believe in fixing something is broken, not replacing it. Not to mention that with as hard as I'm going to have to fight to be able to marry where I live, it won't be something I'll give up.
Other assorted things include not doing drugs, not being an alcoholic, not becoming a gambling addict, etc.
But really, I think these are minor in the broad spectrum. Through all their failures/falling shorts, they still taught me love, responsibility, morals...etc. They had failures but they didn't fail. If anything their failures showed me what to avoid at an early age, something that they themselves possibly didn't have at my age.

#104- What are some good one-line pieces of advice?
1) He's never too busy to call you unless he wants to be.
2) First take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye.
...I had another one, but I just spaced out. I'll try to remember.
