I am finishing up Embassytown from China Miéville, and I would recommend it to everyone who loves China Miéville, science fiction, or surreal fiction.
The book I read before it was called Gates of Irkalla and it was written by Juraj Červenák, who is the best Slovak fantasy writer. It was awesome as hell, looking forward to the third part in the trilogy. Only available in Slovak and Czech I am afraid.
I read roughly one book per month. I read semi-fast, but I do not actually spend much time reading. Mostly when travelling or so. I hate being sick, because it usually makes me eat through my book reserves abnormally fast and then I have nothing to entertain me on my travels.

I got an iPad from work so I started reading again in January... I think the last book I read was Under the Dome or whatever by King. I love his books and I'd forgotten how much I loved his style--very satisfying for a story, he makes very engaging characters that you can't help but keep reading for. I also read a few Koontz books, the Hunger Games, and a couple fantasy books.

Origin of Species by Darwin, reading Gun Seller by Hugh Laurie at the moment, then I'll read Candide or Mein Kampf (in translated form).

The last book in the Inheritance series, I think? I don't read very much anymore.

The last book I read was last night, I just finished it.
Starcraft: Ghost.
Gotta say, I was hesitant at first, the only other book of Keith DeCandido I had read before (Cycle of hatred) was horrible. But it seems I misjudged this guy too much. This book was really good.
