Nice contest!I usually play with casters, they have the coolest spells and skills.

I find myself always gravitating to support classes. The feeling you get when your team survives because of you is immense. You get a heal! You get a heal! Everyone gets a heal!
Game permitting, I usually like to create a melee/caster hybrid. I find that while I enjoy the glass-cannon playstyle of, say, a mage, I find that they are often either too squishy for my tastes, or suffer from a case of Irish Syndrome (fight, drink, repeat). Therefore, being able to both cast effectively as well as deal sufficient melee damage is the perfect niche for my personal tastes.
I'm usually a caster-- either healer or something with charm/CC powers.
Personally, I'm partial to rogue-like classes where I can really lose myself in combat and surroundings, while getting the job done. Failing that, I like being a bit of a leader and taking on a tank role. Casters come in a close third, of any real magic-type.
in single player games I often play a ranged DPS for my first playthrough, but in multiplayer I prefer to tank
When I play RPGs I always love to play warrior or rogue so that I'm always close to the fight!
A dark caster :) in the correct side of the war, in WoW a human warlock.
Mage/caster DPS.
Usually melee classes such as warrior or rogue, but also ranged classes like archers or mages if they are cool enough!
When I first picked up those old school pick-a-class RPGs, I almost always chose the Archer/Mage characters, even when I first played Diablo 1 and 2. But when I first picked up World of Warcraft, then later the first Fable, and on to Oblivion, I went melee from the beginning. It's been a long run for me as a melee now, but I honestly think I've put in more time as a caster/ranged-type.
Usually rogues. Though I really like healing too...
I tend to play warrior type classes. I like running face first into the bad things.
I love to be up front in the action, but a caster blasting away is always fun too.
