Most of the time I play a hunter. Or at least start out with the hunter type class.
I'd have to say melee classes appeal to me the most. It's the fact that apart from healing, I don't need to worry about mana/magic usage as much. And let's face it; melee characters usually always have the scariest, most intimidating armor and weapons.
The role I play in RPG's is usually a ranged DPS. I love the Mage class, so I go for the closest thing to that. Spell casters are my favourite.

Healers, for me I cannot stand allowing the health of my teammates and most importantly me be in another persons hands. Since I can remember I've been the healer class, not that I'm particularly good at it, but it's always been fun and challenging role.
I usually play dps toons but esp love rogue types. I love to sneak around :) Thanks for a chance at winning! Tîck
Ranger type classes, I like to sit off at a distance and tear things up.
I always play a caster. I like fire!
Any type of ranged damage class or mage class. Kill 'em before they can get close.
I usually role a warrior. I love having a huge two hander and just wrecking face
Kind of a tossup, though I usually go for melee-focused characters. Depending on the mood I'll go with the dual-wielding Rogue-like character, or the big, giant two-handed weapon-wielding Warrior/Lancer type. Those are my faves usually! =D
I usually play a tank/heavy melee sort of class to start in almost all my RPG games.
I tend to favor a stealth character, usually wielding a bow and arrow. On rare occasions I'll opt for the dagger characters.
