There's a children's program on Memri TV that is absolutely insane propaganda. I have to cede that it's worse than anything on American mainstream television, but I don't think that's indicative of the population as a whole.
Anyone, one could just as easily say Irish culture is violent (1916) or American culture is violent (1776, 1861) or Czech culture is violent (1939).
Forgot to mention:
people do not deserve their governments.

people do not deserve their governments. Yeah. I agree with you, but I don't see the need to bring it up really. I find it a bit... distasteful. The culture for many (I'm obliged to say "many" or some such word so that no blockhead things I'm speaking about each and every Palestinian) Palestinians is violent. I understand that other cultures had, or still have violence (This isn't to say that these cultures contain a population in which every single member is violent. That would be a generalization), but it doesn't seem like an excuse to me, or even worth looking at. They have a problem, a big problem, that needs to be fixed (I'd like to take this moment to say that I'm speaking in terms of a large part of the populace. I don't think that every single person in that culture has this exact problem). Trying to look at the problem differently by providing a backdrop of historical gore (That isn't to say that ALL history has that problem. Certainly, I don't want to generalize about the entire history of the world) looks like an attempt to normalize the situation, instead of addressing it as it is.
"Is the situation bad? We'll, yes, but who are we to question?" That train of thought doesn't strike me as rational (I'd like to mention that I'm not speaking about every train of thought. Of course there are rational trains of thought, and I don't want to appear to generalize).
As for the "population as a whole", I think it could be painted worse than it is, but it isn't good (This is of course not to say that every single Palestinian has that problem. That would be a generalization, and I'd like to take this moment to apologize if I've given the impression that I'm speaking about every single individual Palestinian).
Disclaimer: If I have said something that you feel is a generalization, I apologize. Not all humans are exactly alike, and the qualities of one, or even large groups, aren't shared by anyone.
Note: If you are not a complete idiot, ignore everything in parenthesis, and the disclaimer.
