Hallow's End, love the headless horseman story / dungeon and watching people on my server attempt playing Quidditch...
What's my favorite holiday event?I'd have to say Hallows End, it combines the most fun from all the other events! throwing items at people, the traveling around the world and seeing fun and interesting events. Not to mention the brooms!Who doesn't love costumes candy and broomsticks?
I totally love Brewfest! it is the time of the year for azeroth's many adventurers to relax from the heat of battle and to enjoy family, friends and best of all BEEEER!BREWFEST! p.s. the dwarven brewfest song makes me laugh everytime
Id have to say lunar festival because its just a really cool concept
Winter's Veil is definitely my favorite holiday. Merrymaker was my first holiday title (possibly first in general) on my first toon, and on top of that, Christmas is my favorite holiday.
Lunar festival and Brewfest is a toss up. Why? Lunar festival was what was going on when i first started playing and was pretty awestruck by everything going on. and brewfest? drinking, fighting. sounds like a good time =D
I have always been fond of The Feast of Winter Veil. It doesn't have cool bosses to get free gear and stuff from, but I love Christmas time and the random stuff you can do in game is fun. I have great memories of chasing after Metzen and getting the achievement to kill a bunch of Alliance dressed up like a tiny little Santa gnome. P.S. Who wants to make out underneath the mistletoe? =P
Winter Veil because I love getting gifts from Father Winter! I've been very good this year you see...
Hallow's End for sure, coz it reminds me of chieldhood, coz of all those funny costums, intresting achievements (G.N.E.R.D. especially),and ofcourse i get to kill Headless funny looking man :D
Hallow's End. Mainly because when I went through all of the holidays, I just simply love the quest that you go through, and that you find out just who the Headless Horseman is right after you kill him, when you only got a snippet of what he was from the matron near Goldshire. I also really really love the laugh that he does, and wish that they made a cloth/leather/mail equivalent of the helmet, so that every race can enjoy the laugh for themselves year round. :3
Hallow's End for me.Living in Australia, Halloween has never been a big thing (to give you an idea of that, this year I carved my first pumpkin ever, and I'm 22 years old). Some places try to push it, but the public at large doesn't seem to be particularly interested. I've always been fascinated by Halloween, the holiday for me just sounds like something incredibly fun, dressing up as whatever you'd like and going from house to house getting free treats, what kid/teenager/adult wouldn't love that? I'd like to think I converted some people this year when I brought Jack-O-Lantern into work, children were staring at it in fascination and asking their parents if they could carve one as well! I know I probably won't get to properly celebrate Halloween anytime soon, but I'd like to think that one day, maybe my future children and grand children will.
Definitely Midsummer Festival. It marks the start of the long break from my studies and school. LOL :D
My favorite holiday in World of Warcraft really does happen to be Hallow's End. You can't beat a holiday that has an antagonist, that spits out comments with rhyme and tenacity. Honestly, the voice actor picked to represent the Headless Horseman was a perfect choice. Hallow's End includes the joy of wearing costumes (wands, ala Cosplay), snacks that give you buffs for play, a very intriguing holiday backstory, memorable (and highly sought after) epic gear (mount, helmet, sword), a visit to a wonderful old school instance, and some fantastic achievements... all of which are wrapped up in a single in-game holiday. The next largest in-game holiday, Winter's Veil, can't boast all that. Hallow's End all the way!
Hallow's End is my favorite. I love killing the boss.
Brewfest wins, because there is beer.
My favorite is Midsummer, in all honesty. It was the first holiday I got into (I actually joined while Hallow's End was running, but I cared more for leveling than trick or treating).By the time Midsummer rolled around, I was ready to go. I loved running around and stomping out the fires, and I often got into a few fun world PvP matches when four of my guildies (one of which was an RL friend) went around and stomped out the fires. I also loved the torch juggling, and I still carry a set of 40 torches around with me to juggle while we're waiting for a BG queue to proc or another guildie to show up for a dungeon ^_^
