How can it not be Brewfest? Not only is it the most fleshed out, its actually fun! (or at least it was for me)I just did the brewfest event for the first time this year (i'm a post-cata player) and I did the quests and dailies on all my characters.Trying all the beer and food, throwing beer bottles at people, joining the brew-of-the month club, killing dorfs, and getting drunk enough to hallucinate. All were things I actually wanted to do.I even managed to get a swift ram for my blood elf dk on the last day.But the main reason I like this event best: Blix's Eyesight Enhancing Romance GogglesMy goblin never takes them off.
Midsummer Fire Festival is my favorite holiday, I love summer and the warm weather and all the fireworks and warm colors that are all present in the Midsummer Fire Festival. Plus it was during the Midsummer Fire Festival that I had the most fun leveling my shaman in BC, fighting in STV to extinquish each factions bonfire since they were right next to each other hahahaha :)
Children's Week is my favorite. I like the combination of the "Big Brother/Big Sister" feel, where you guide an orphan around to "see the sights". Also, I love the special companion rewards; I especially love "Sleepy Willy", the flying, drooling eyeball! XDOn a little more serious note, it gives a little more "background" to the game, where you do get the feeling of it being an actual inhabited world. Finally, including the Oracles & Frenzyhearts was a nice touch.
A Cold Winter's VeilThe cold, harsh winds of Dun Morogh ate away at my unprotected face as I traversed the land. My helmet had been lost during a skirmish with the filthy, horde dogs far to the north, so I could feel my skin slowly flaking off my face. Despite the freezing chill that my body felt, my hatred for all the races, customs, and beliefs of the so called horde fueled a great fire in my mind. There can be no such thing as peace in this world as long as the Horde are here ready to destroy it. I had traveled a long distance, and my weary feet cried out in protest as I trudged through the deep snow. Despite the blizzard raging around my body, I could still make out the Dwarven city of Ironforge illuminated against the side of a great mountain.I at last decided to abide by my body's protests and take a break at one of Ironforge's famous Inns (I've heard the Stonefire Tavern is a respected and renowned resting place among the Dwarves). After all, Stormwind was still many leagues away, and what good would I be to the Alliance showing up close to death at their doorstep? Upon reaching the grand gate of the mountain city, one of the guards greeted me and gave me a flask of ale with some herbs that warmed my insides. Thanking him, I trudged into the city finally being free of the climate outside. The change in the air was abrupt, all traces of the cold vanished and a homely warm feeling overtook. Something was different about this visit to Ironforge though, I thought as I started to walk around the corner to enter The Commons. Taking my last step around the corner, I saw a sight to behold. A great tree, taller than an ogre even, towered above the natives. It had a sleek new green coat of needles that gave off a very fresh and minty smell. A great shining star stood at the top of the tree shining so bright, that even though all the torches and braziers were burnt out, the whole area was illuminated. Smells of gingerbread and cookies mixed in to create created a smell one can't simply describe with words. Looking up, red and green lights were wrapped around every balcony and every door on the upper tiers on the city creating a sense of euphoria. The sounds of of bells reverberated in the air along with the voices of a group of carolers (the gnome in the group was a tad off pitch might I add). A great deal of laughter could be heard from the area, especially from a doorway where the king of Ironforge himself found out that that he was next to Metzen the reindeer under a branch of mistletoe. A dwarf garbed in red sat at a chair next to the great tree, happily talking with some Dwarven children and occasionally giving off a very merry and hearty laugh. Taking another swig of the ale I was given, I thought to myself, even if just for a moment, that peace does exist in this world, and maybe someday we'll find it.
I personally enjoy pilgrim's bounty, it's just so much fun to to kill turkeys, seeing the different titles flash up, and fling the food at the tables. The best part has to be turning rogues, or anyone, into turkeys with your turkey shooter. it's a challenge to find all the different races of rogues, especially trolls which can sometimes be a pain if you need the achievement.
This has always been a tough one for me especially now and in the distant future. On one hand you have Hallows End which always seems to get updated and then on another hand you have Brewfest which is very fun though not as fully interactive as Hallows End. However I would have to choose Brewfest. It is one of those times of the year where i can get a bunch of booze and have a great time in dungeons and the area outside of ironforge is very funny with the sounds turned up hearing all the drunk dwarves.Another reason why I know I will love this in the future is the Pandarens, by nature the pandas LOVE their booze and what better holiday for them to get together and have fun with Dwarves. This will bring about interesting changes around the corner.
Children's week. I love kids and pets :)

I would have to say that Hallow's End is my favorite. It offers the coolest mount in the game! However, I have been trying for two years and have been unsuccessful at getting it :(
What is your favorite holiday in World of Warcraft and why?My favorite holiday has to be Midsummer Fire Festival! One of the main reasons of why I enjoy this holiday is because of the traveling and the rivalry between the Horde and Alliance. That and to mention the PVP elements of sneaking around the capital cities to steal fire's is always fun and interesting. I've always had fun with the dungeon boss of the Icelord Ahune in Slave Pins. And will always try to get the elemental pin or the amazing scythe that drops from it.Hurray for another year of Warcraft!
My favorite holiday HAS to be the feast of winter veil! I've loved Christmas since I was a kid, and getting on World of Warcraft to celebrate it with my friends all month just adds to the togetherness that the holiday season brings! =]Plus presents are always great.
It's a tough decision between Brewfest and Hallow's end.I mostly like Brewfest for the most epic music in WoW ever, when you're in the Brew camp (at least on horde) and the festival music is playing with a bunch of tanked Goblins bantering away at each other. It's hilarious. ("I can't feel my legs! bahahahahahaha!")But as far as the coolness factor goes it's by far Hallow's End! With the lore, the pranks, flying broomsticks, the Horseman. It's just fun.
Totally Hallow's End, just because they did such a good job with the Headless Horseman's voice I love to hear it. :D Not to mention there is a ton of fun things with the holiday, especially this year with the all the vendors and stuff! ^_^
I’ve thought long and hard about how to explain this and I hope I convey it well. My favourite holiday in WoW is Pilgrim’s Bounty. Why exactly? I think it stems from the fact that Thanksgiving is my favourite holiday in real life too. I have a lot of anxiety and I don’t really enjoy Christmas with all the shopping and gift giving and having to find money for this and that. To me Thanksgiving is a time when you can sit back, relax and really enjoy your family; eat turkey, be merry, no worrying about how you are going to afford things. Imagine my delight when Thanksgiving was incorporated into my favourite game World of Warcraft. I love everything about it. It’s so fun, going around to the tables and being able to pass the food around and watching it appear on peoples plates! And finally a holiday that isn’t about just getting phat loots for almost free? Or trying to win a mount that seems to be a lie! Hello improved cooking skill! ‘Cause let’s face it some of us don’t practice, especially on alts...I had several level 5 cookers before this holiday. And don’t get me started on the turkey shooter! How funny is a turkey rogue on a hawkstrider, strutting around Dalaran? The pet is the best though. How fun was it to discover you could cook your turkey pet, and going around and starting fires in front of other people’s (you know you did it)! Well there you have it. It’s not a sappy story, my mom didn’t die of cancer around Thanksgiving or anything, but it really does mean a lot to me. Plus Pilgrim’s Bounty kind of gives me a second Thanksgiving, as I am Canadian and our Thanksgiving is in October. I don’t know if I’ve quite done it justice, but thanks for listening.
