Except you're wrong. The mainhand dagger increases the damage of SS, RvS and MG by 45%.
Told ya so.

Starts and ends at Lord Afrasastrasz (Lord Afrasastrasz) at Wyrmrest Temple, or along the Path of the Titans, inside the Dragon's Soul raid. Lord Afra will fight along side you, as well as other NPCs, up until Morchok. If you don't see him at the entrance, check inside the temple. You really can't miss him.
Like you really can't miss him. With the exception of being summoned in to a boss and never going back to the temple, you will have to walk right past him.

Question about the following two items.
-
Shadowy Gem
-
Elementium Gem Cluster
The first one comes from opening up the second, as we know. Has it been confirmed who drops the Elementium Gem Clusters exactly? Do only bosses drop them? And do the Shadowy Gems drop from trash as well, or can you only loot them from the Gem Clusters?
If we assume the following: 1
Elementium Gem Cluster
per normal boss and 2
Elementium Gem Cluster
per heroic boss, I came up with the following calculation.
For the quest
Cluster Clutch
Average of 5
Shadowy Gem
per
Elementium Gem Cluster
= 67 needed.
On normal: 67 boss kills would be 8 or 9 resets.
On heroic: 34 boss kills would be 4-5 resets.
Doing both 10 and 25 man would obviously cut the time needed to collect the
Shadowy Gem
s in half.
If you only do
one normal
raid per week would you'd need
more than 2 months
to complete this quest.
Heroic: Over one month.
Two normal and one heroic: A couple weeks.
Two heroics and two normals per week. Two weeks.
Feel free to rip this post apart. I'm not on the PTR and searching for answers.

I've seen about 6 to 9 gems per cluster. I'm still working on putting together the pieces, but gauging how long the quests take will be one of the last things I deal with since it's one of the more volatile aspects of a legendary quest line.
I'm not sure how you think we're going to run multiple clears of Dragon Soul though.

I myself seen 5 to 9 gems/cluster from 25 normal bosses. Any info yet on how many clusters heroic modes will drop? Is it safe to assume that 10-man heroic modes would drop 2 clusters, while 25's would give at least 3?

I'm not sure. I assume it will work similar to Dragonwrath, with 10man normal < 10man heroic = 25man normal < 25 man heroic, so that sounds like a reasonable guess with a give or take 1 cluster from RNG. With the chance for double RNG, they may make the number of clusters per boss consistent with your raid setting, but I really haven't looked that far into it.
Question if i can fight 6 Bosses and Deathwing i can loot 7 Cluster and get around 5 Gems of one Cluster than i can loot 35 Gems?
I loot the Elementium Gem Cluster open it and get Shadowy Gem right? 5 or more Gems?
Sounds like the right idea, your estimate low-balls the number of gems you get in a week though. You're probably going to get more than that even in 10man normals.

Thanks for the clarification. Ignore the comment about the multiple clears, I was confusing the old raid lockout system with the new one.
So in that case it would be about the same as Dragonwrath then, in sense of time to do the gathering quest(s). Let's just hope we can enjoy the finalized version of the daggers long enough before MoP hits.

Cluster Clutch was raised to 333 gems a couple builds ago, it just hasn't been reflected in Wowheads database yet.

I am right now on the quest Assassinate Creed, But i am having very hard time to kill him.
I've tried going full out nuke with using Evasion and pots to get him down asap. Then i got him to about 40% before i died.
I've tried using Mind-Numbling Poison to make sure i do not miss any interuppts (due to the lagg on PTR i miss it sometimes.), But then my DPS seems to be to low to bring him down fast enough.
Is it only me, or would this guy need a nerf before he hits the live realms? This is (in my experience) about twice as hard as the first quest for the legendary staff were.
Tips on how to kill him would be appreciated.

I'm curious of what spec you went with? Combat seems to be the spec that will handle the fight the best.
Also, I haven't had a chance to see if there are any changes to the fight within the past several days, so if you see a spell that isn't mentioned or a spell deals more damage than what's listed on the Wowhead spell data I'm all ears.
Otherwise, I'll divulge some tricks players have used. This fight (the entire quest line, actually) is about using class specific abilities to progress. You can try and take Creed down through sheer brute force, but I don't expect that to be viable until 5.0 hits and people are in t14. Therefore some things that are common are:
- Use WP/MNP for MH/OH poisons respectively, done as Combat. Other poisons will work, but this seems to be the most effective.
- Pick up the Blade Twisting talent.
- Kite for a little while after you interrupt Blackhowl's Will if you're below 50% health. 10 seconds should be enough. If he casts Blackhowl's Will again then you're probably kiting for too long.
- Make liberal use of Gouge and Kidney Shot. Don't feel forced to save either for an interrupt.
- Don't waste Kick on Consuming Darkness.
- Keep Recuperate up at
all
times.
- Sprinkle some utility glyphs in like Glyph of Evasion, or Glyph of Cloak of Shadows.

Thanks for the tips, with these i was able to kill him, as combat, after just 2 tries.
I did try Assassination and Subtlety as those are the only speccs i have been playing since Cataclysm.
The Blackhowl's Will did approx 30k Damage as far as i was able to see. His "enrage" starts after 2 minutes as you stated.
Once again, thanks for the tips. This will make it alot easier to do it on Live realms since i now know the perfect route to him and how to defeat him the easiest. :)

No problem. Some of the thanks go to others too though. There were a couple things I never noticed or failed to consider when testing like a couple of the glyphs or a couple paths to get to Creed.
As an update, I found some stats for the Legendary and Stage 2 daggers through one of my sources. It looks off right now, for example the names can't be right, and a couple stats don't make sense, and I don't want anyone to take them and run like mad screaming that Blizzard is stupid for making them so bad / making them so overpowered when it seems obvious to me they can't be the final iteration. For these reasons I don't want to publicize the info just yet, but hopefully within a build or two I'll have good information that seems reasonable.
EDIT: Hiding this for now. If you saw it already, well, just know I'm still skeptical about the data. I'm currently reaching out to people to get the info verified. In return, I'm giving you an educated guess about how we get to and deal with Nalice. The following segment is speculation.
This quest seems to be very similar to Assassinate Creed. The differences will probably be in the spells Nalice uses, what we have to overcome to get to Nalice, and the Arcane Storage Devices.
Noting the spell
Assassin's Sight
, I assume this happens whenever you use an Arcane Storage Unit located in the Master's Cellar. The spell is clearly rogue specific, and it's fitting that it would apply to the rogue quest line. Since this is the only quest that I can see this applying too, it seems reasonable to expect that this is tied into it somehow, and the arcane storage unit is present at the only point in time where you should need Distract. Reading the spell text brings out some glaring points:
... allows the rogue to more clearly see enemies in the surrounding area for up to 10 sec and resets the cooldown on the Distract ability...
The reset on Distract is probably just to make this quest easier. However the seeing enemies more clearly implies they have some sort of stealth to them. I expect that Rogues will have to stealth through NPCs in the Master's Cellar, both stealthed and unstealthed alike, to get to Nalice. We will probably have to go from storage unit to storage unit in order to effectively get past the stealthed units.
These spells may or may not be used in the fight against Nalice, I only mention them because it seems like they could.
Arcane Infused Armor
Arcane Infused Weapon
Arcane Missiles
Arcane Overload
Arcane Power
Arcane Shield
Improved Dismantle
Sabotaging
Do realize that some of these spells imply that the Arcane Storage Units are used in the fight against Nalice (assuming those spells are used in the fight). They are not conclusive evidence for any part of the quest.

Yes, this is a double post. No, I don't care.
I've had several people bring this up with me through various channels, and it's a completely valid point. For the observant and proactive followers out there, they will notice that there are references to another segment of the quest line that is not present in the info I have now. There's a
very
good reason for this: it's because I just haven't found the quests.
In some of the client strings that have been made available, you can see references to a section of the quest line that appears to happen between Sharpening Your Fangs, and Patricide, and deals with Fermion in Dalaran, and it could be very different from the quest 'Assassinate Creed'. The issue is that I can't find any spell data or quest data that supports this. The only indication and support for this is the client strings. I whole heartedly agree that it looks like there's a gap, I just don't have any worthwhile information to put there. I could guess, but a guess of that caliber would be even
more
error prone than what I'm expecting Blood of the Betrayer to act like. Which by the way, I still think is very much so "up in the air", and my educated guess could easily be wrong.
They may be in the files and I just haven't found them yet, they may not be added yet. But until I can see something more concrete, anything related to it will be outside of the front post.
For reference:
VO_QUEST_43_WRATHION_SCENE3_01 - Fermion is a crafty one, my friend. To flush him out, you'll have to operate in disguise and hobnob with the elite of Dalaran society.
VO_QUEST_43_FAHRAD_SCENE3_01 - This one? Mingle with the arch-mages of Dalaran? Hah, I'd pay to see that.
VO_QUEST_43_WRATHION_SCENE3_02 - Succeed here, and our work is nearly done. Good luck, hero.

Is there a reason wowhead or mmo haven't been able to datamine the stage2 or legendary daggers all this time? I would think they would have them by now or have they not been on the ptr all this time? Be nice to see there stats and if they stuck with that horrible slowfall idea.
Post by
Pathal
I assume it's because they simply aren't in our client data, it's hard to data-mine something that isn't there. The only info that you can easily find on the ptr is the item icon, and which is the MH and which is the OH. There was a new build last night, so who knows, maybe some of the missing pieces were added.
I hope they use something other than a slow fall, due to the lack of blue posts on the matter I don't think they have any intention of changing it though.

1) Correct, just normal and heroic Dragon Soul bosses.
2) Same thing, just the normal and heroic Dragon Soul version of Hagara. You might be able to pick up the first quest, but you shouldn't be able to get the ring.
3) I believe there is a cooldown of some sort on picking Hagara's pockets, I'm not sure what it is. I've seen many numbers thrown around like 12 hours, raid soft reset, changing the raid id, etc.
I'm inclined to think that you can reset the pockets by disbanding the raid group after a rogue picks the pockets of Hagara, and re-entering under a new raid ID/session forcing a soft reset, but I'm not sure. I haven't been able to test this adequately myself for several reasons, and I'm not sure if I'll get a chance before 4.3 drops.
