I would probably do something like this
http://www.wowhead.com/talent#hZf0Gcsd:kZc
at level 47 for enhancement.
I have no experience with elemental, so i wouldn't be able to tell if that would be better or not.

Elemental spec
Only problem is you will need a whole new set of gear with Intellect on it.

So how is it going with learning to do all this?

I would agree with that elemental really isn't at the same place as enhancement, specially regarding survival. It does however becomes better at level 58 with
combined with
, and then with the (all new)
.
Anyway.. I would still stick with enhancement, focusing on one spec and eventually mastering that makes it a lot easier to eventually change to elemental later on if you want to try something new, and you have fun as enhancement which just makes it perfect :)

Also, Strafe. If you're using WASD to move, A and D should be bound to strafe instead of turn left/right. Turning is so slow that you won't
ever
catch anyone using a mouse and strafing. Also, turning back is equally a very poor choice to move. I'd completelly unbind it, it does more harm than good.

Ideally you want most things keybinded around WASD and a few important to your mouse (That is if your mouse has more then three buttons).
Picture that you're fighting in a mass of 15 people. 8 of the being on the opposite side and you're attacking an annoying frost mage, however you see a paladin is casting a big and slow heal. This you obviously want to interrupt, so you have a bigger chance against the mage. Without a mouse it is practically impossible to target him before he gets the cast off and heal.
Further more a mouse is ALWAYS faster then turning around and such with your mouse and in PVP all that matters is being faster then your opponent. (and avoiding frost mages ;) )

I know the uber-pvpers have a keybind system but I've always been a mouse driver (I use a wireless and can turn on a dime with it) but that ties up movements. Any advice on that one? I'll experiment with anything that works. They're going to start charging me rent at the target dummy range lol! I'm seriously thinking about buying a nostromo for all of this.
I'll explain my own system.
The thing is, moving + keybinding with something such as 1-0 is essentially impossible single handedly. You have to have at least one finger constantly ready to strafe, and reaching modifiers (Shift, Alt, Control), 1, movement and 0 is absolutelly impractical with one hand.
Therefore, your goal is to get it in a way that you can control every single thing with your left hand, while moving with the right hand.
1-5, QWERTASDFGZXCVB are all really close to the modifiers, and with WASD to move, you can use your smallest finger or thumb for CTRL/SHIFT/ALT modifiers, while moving and using numbers for spells at the very same time. You condense everything to the left side of your keyboard. How far you can go depends on how big your hand is (some are perfectly confortable reaching for 6, some prefer not to go past 4). You should move forward by left+right clicking your mouse, never move backwards, and only strafe (by holding your right mouse button to control diection, and strafe to move left/right). Therefore, the only effectivelly needed and crucial buttons are strafe left or right. I, for one, use QE to strafe, ASDW are all spells.
Might I add move forward might be more needed for a melee player being kited; I'm a caster, so I don't really use it much. Melee players might want to keep their move forward keybound. The method I use is having an auto-move forward key to toggle it when I want, and stop it with my mouse. That allows freedom with targetting with your mouse, while not losing the ability to move forward entirelly. That being said, a lot of my spells don't require facing my target. As a melee, this changes dramatically, hence the key being more important.
Now, a personal touch that's obviously nothing more than a tip. I use a sort of "thematic" approach on my key binding. WASD are my offensive spells. Mouse (wheel+extra buttons) has my buffs. 1-5 has my utility spells. FGRT my less used spells (such as Shackle Undead, only relevant against one single class, death knights.). Alt modifiers have cooldowns related to what's on the zone. This makes it less likelly to have some really bad move happen because I suddenly misclick. As an example, ASDW are all damage spells. If I misclick A for S, I'll still be doing damage. This is far from foolproof, and in no way mandatory, but it helps.
