Warrior DPS in Dungeons? Question is should I bother?
I mostly play PVP. PVE is another breed and they all just seem to be freaking out
at each other most of the time. I want to run some dungeons for Achievements and Rep.
My hang up is as a Human Warrior I'm always expected to tank. I sign in as DPS , It says DPS
in my thingy yet - people freak on me.
Then I thought perhaps I'm bad at dungeon DPS? My impression was as DPS once Tank rounds up and argo's the mobs I wipe em out? Yes- No?
Any good guides in here someone has come across about playing DPS as a Warrior.
And from your experience is it even worth it to enter a dungeon as a warrior who is not a tank?
Thanks!

I pvp myself. When I do queue for random dungeons, I am almost always (more than ~90% of the time) the number one dps in the group, including the ZA bear runs I complete. This is as Arms dps, haven't really tried out fury yet this expansion.
You'll find that the vast majority of the people you run into in the LFD are brainless, griefers, or just completely apathetic toward the dungeon run. This causes the runs to be terrible experiences more often than not, but I've still had plenty of awesome groups via the LFD. Its simply just a numbers game: Endure the terrible groups, get rewarded with good groups. Don't be too afraid to leave the worst of the terrible groups - you can simply queue for BGs or do dailies while you wait for the 30 min debuff to drop.
There are plenty of guides to help you with dps. Check out sites like Wowhead, manaflask, mmo-champion's forums, elitist jerks, or tankspot for guides and advice. Once you understand the logic behind dps, you won't need the guides anymore.

Go for it :)
That's my answer ha.
Lookie
here
. Fury warriors are doing ok, so figures you'll be ok. Go arms until you get some good gear, then start Fury. SMF or TG, it depends on the weapons; SMF is about 5% better at the best best gear levels I've heard.
