It's been a while, but let's have another showdown.
This time I'm pitting Bioshock's standard
Big Daddy Bouncer
varient against the deadly varieation of the Dead Space Slasher;
The Hunter
.
Bouncer:
Strengths
: Tough, decivingly fast, immense strength.
Weaknesses
: No real thoughts or planning in its action. Fairly slow moving unless charging.
Select Weapons:
Drill, Charge-ability
The Hunter:
Strengths:
Speed, quick regeneration abilities.
Weaknesses:
Likely low intelligence (despite cunning)
Select Weapons:
Its blade-like talons sprouting from its back (like the normal slasher)
My edge has to go to the Hunter because of its regeration ability, but the Bouncer may be able to tear it apart with its blade so fast it dosn't have a chance. What is the opinion of the forums?

Of course, if the Hunter did get in that close he'd be in danger of being grabbed by the Big Daddy. Although he could easily dodge away, as you said one lucky move for the daddy - or one bad decision for the Hunter - and the daddy could likely pin the Hunter to the ground and gore it to a bloody pulp with its drill.

From what I saw The Hunter itself is not inhumanly fast, but quick nonetheless. Furthermore, the way it attacks (constant drilling damage to tissue, rather than a simple kinetic blow to the body through a gun), makes it much harder to regenerate again. I'd say the Hunter if there was some sort of ranged ability, but it can withstand the Hunters attacks for long enough to get a leg or arm, even if simply by flailing around, and then simply drill it into oblivion. The 'hang back and regen then go back in tactic would not work,' because Big Daddy has the ability to charge at this point, and simply drill it faster than it can regenerate.

I'd have to go with the Big Daddy. Never played Dead Space, but based on the details I'd have to go with metal over flesh and bone.
