Just curious who out there are parents that let their kids play WoW.
My daughter (who's 5 y/o) likes to create tons of new characters for some reason. It's pretty interesting to see what is fun to her vs what I usually do in game. When I roll an alt its, level level level to reach end game. When she rolls a toon, completely different take on things.
She spent a good portion of all the BEs she's rolled on swimming around the island. Yes, it's somehow fun to go swimming in game, from island to island around the starter zone. She also rolls classes with pets, as they are easier to play as you have an AI helping you kill stuff. She's also managed to get into 3 different guilds somehow, even though she can't type out sentences yet.
The funniest thing I've seen her do is play her female goblin warlock. The starter area quest gives her a key to a nice joyride vehicle. Everytime she uses the key a magic car pops out and is accompanied by 3 buddies. She just drives the car all around the island, along the different ramps which sort of resemble a rollarcoster. It's pretty funny to watch a 5 y/o joyriding with some npc buddies through town and hitting the nitro booster.

Whose
Correct, but still a worthless troll post.
On topic. Both my kids play. My 15 yr old is a PvP fan. Before the death of twinks, that was really his thing. While I never really got into it, I did enjoy helping him with getting som eof the old school twink gear. I think I ran SFK 200 times to get his Shadowfang dagger.
My 10 yr old is alot like the OP's daughter. He just gets a kick out of rolling new toons and running through the starting areas killing everything in sight. I had forgot about the Goblin carts, Ill have to show him that this evening, as I am sure he will have a blast with those as well.

Haha, the Assassins Blade... me and my friend ran that so may times to get it.
As i don't have any kids, I know my youngest brother likes to get on his account and stalk me, he thinks it is funny so i play along and hide while he tries to find me

Kinda sorta related, but there's an entire family in the guild I'm in. A couple plays, along with their son. Oh, and one of their parents.
Three generations of gamers. It's actually pretty cool.
We have a few families in my guild. My parents and sister play.
They are all pretty bad...

I have a father/son duo in my guild. The dad is 44 and the son i believe is 11or 12. Its funny cause you can tell when he's yelling at him for typing certain things cause the son will ignore him i assume and the father will start yelling at him through the game lol.

My Uncle makes his 11 year old farm gold and level fishing.
You shouldn't force your child to do anything, but if your Cousin enjoys it then that's good.

When I first started to play a co-worker of mine got in trouble from his wife after his kid got sent home from school. Apparently the 8 year old was getting bullied and told the other kid that if he didnt stop it his daddy was going to come and kill him with his epic Despair. For those of you that dont remember that is a 2h that drops in Kara. The guy was letting his son mine and just goof around and had told him how cool having an epic was. I laughed pretty hard at this.
My son is too young to play and not allowed to by my wife, but he gets me in trouble for playing sometimes. He loves dragons and will ask me to power up the launcher to just see the dragon. I usually will and then log in to check AH or somthing and he goes off to tell my wife that daddy is playing with the dragon again...damn I was supposed to be paying bills...haha. My son is 2.
The coolest thing I ran across in game was a group of 8 people just sitting around at sentianl hill in Westfall. I dont play on a RP realm so I was like...What are you all doing? One of the toons replied that it was their weekly get together and they were going to run 2 groups in deadmines for fun. After joining the group since 2 could not make it I found out the make up. 2 grand parents, 3 aunts and 2 uncles of the one girl that I was talking to. Apparently since the family was living in florida, alaska, kentucky and virgina this was the cheapest way for them all to get together and talk every week.
That just really struck me as a cool thing to do. How else do you do a 7 way conversation? Btw it was the older brother and sister that were in college that could not make it due to studying for exams.

Why would you expose kids to a video game (
especially
WoW) at such a young age? You can practically
hear
their brains getting sucked out.
My parents didn't let me so much as own a video game system until I was at least 12, and by then I already had a lot of more constructive hobbies. I constantly thank them for doing so.

Video games can be very constructive at young ages as long as there are filter, which in WoW you can leave trade/ disable chat if needed.
My parents let my youngest brother start playing video games at a very young age and to be totally honest he is by far smarter and much more social than I was at his age now.

I'll probably get some flame for this but I probably won't "introduce" my kids to WoW. I grew up without never knowing what WoW was and I'm kinda glad I didn't know. I would say I play a lot now and I know that I need to cut back. Honestly, I would rather have my kids out with their friends having fun and making memories (like what I did) - rather than them sit in front of the computer every night talking to people they have never met before over a microphone. Sorry but that is really the way I feel. I wouldn't say "no" if they wanted to play. Of course not, It's fun! But I'll probably never suggest that they pick up the game and start playing. It's totally up to them!
Oh, and I don't have kids now...I'm talking in the future when I do.

I started playing video games at 5; but I was still doing other things as well: hanging out with friends, going on off day trips with the 'rents, reading, drawing, and that continued all through out the rest of my life. So.....yeah.
