Holy changes: what's the new consensus?

Having only done normal modes on my paladin here, so take this at face value, but I consistenly find lots of time to cast holy light. I was a lot more wary of it before because of the negligible tank (via beacon) heal, but now I'm a lot more comfortable with it. Of course, I only raid on my paladin in 10 man, so HR gets a lot less mileage due to positioning and such.

Its the combination of the Beacon change and Critical Heal that makes Holy Light attractive again. The only way Holy Radiance can work in a 10 raid is if it is "backed up" by Holy Light.
As for the weights, I don't remember values off the top of my head and they aren't that important. Int and Spirit are easily twice as valuable as Haste and then Haste is easily more valuable than the others.

Really? I can't live without HR in 10 mans. Four out of seven fights have a 'let's all stack up to deal with this AoE while we try to beat the soft-enrage' phase.

Agreed. I use Holy Radiance as often as it's off cooldown in many fights. Its range is useful enough that it hits most (or all) of a 10-man raid at any given time. And on Recount (or logs) it represents a decent chunk of my healing.
It's Light of Dawn (correction) which I don't find quite as useful as Holy Radiance. I actually skipped out on this talent until recently.

Regarding meta gems?
I'm wondering if the
Revitalizing Shadowspirit Diamond
deserves a second look, against the
Ember Shadowspirit Diamond
.
The reason I'm wondering is twofold:
1. The conspicuous absence of Spirit on Tier 12 gear.
2. Patch 4.2 increased healing crits from 150% to 200%. 3% more healing on a crit just became a helluva lot more valuable.
---
One more thing? I'm a bit surprised that AskMrRobot.com is recommending I put Power Torrent (and not Heartsong) on my weapon.

Intellect and max mana both do everything you want spirit to do (increased regen via DP, Replen, AT, and from starting mana).
What talent are you referring to? Were you meaning Light of Dawn?

Yep, my bad. Light of Dawn. Ignored it 'til recently, since it's most useful in 25s.
And the Revitalizing one also has +3% healing on crits. Might not sound as awesome, but then, it does add up. The healing "proc" trinkets (like the one off lootship, in the last expansion) typically only gave about 3% extra healing for having taken up an entire trinket slot. (I always preferred regen trinkets, m'self)

I hope that wasn't pointed at me because I use Holy Radiance a lot where I'm even starting to use it during the trash slogs. I meant that I've come into the practice of using Holy Radiance and Holy Light in tandem. If nothing else, Firelands has made it a requirement using these two together.
It is my experience that if you are in a fight that needs aggressive Holy Radiance usage then you need to also aggressively control mana which means leaning harder on Holy Shock and Holy Light where you are almost prohibited from using Divine Light. Although getting Critical Heals on Divine Light is fun, it is really useful on both Holy Shock and Holy Light.

Ever since I got the trinket and two piece off of majordomo I've had absolutely no mana problems, really. Most fights give you a pretty good opportunity to use DP. I've been leaning on my DL button pretty frequently.

Int > Haste > Spirit > Crit = Mastery.
Match socket bonuses or don't, it won't really make a difference.
Use cheap enchants if you're feeling cheap, it won't really make a difference.
All of your gear should have haste and spirit on it. If it's missing one, reforge something that isn't haste or spirit into what it's missing.

I guess intel would be higher, I don't know. But all gear is formulaic now, so the numbers tell you almost nothing that the priorities don't. Hence why they're hard to find now; no one bothers to make them. Just get the highest ilvl piece you can, reforge it into a haste/spirit piece, and jam some gems and enchants into it. No math involved.
Here's
Mr. Robot's weights if you really really desperately need the numbers. Note that I wasn't paying attention while typing and spirit > haste. That is how I gear, so this is a case of do as I do not as I say.

I typically use it with Arcane Torrent, but since Jaws is less likely to push my mana up to 100% shortly after use, sometimes I'll use Jaws before AT at the start of fights to get in on CD sooner.

I do think that is an important thing to note. My personal experience is that first coming into Firelands a fight like Shannox, and Shannox can go very long and mana was a serious issue. After a month I'm already evolving how I approach fights where how I used to do some fights already has changed a lot resulting in different and even more aggressive strategies. That usually didn't happen in previous tier unless we completely overpowered the event.
At the start of Firelands I was very cautious about how what I was doing while using HR. Today I'm still very reserved how what I do while Holy Radiance is running but doing a lot of other active healing. In another raid week and the right upgrades I could completely change my stance. I definitely see why they had to nerf our mana after going only part of this tier's gear upgrades.

Honestly after I picked up my two piece, that trinket, and a handful of other stuff, I'm not having mana problems. Not unless there's a bad healer around. We haven't gotten far enough along on a Rag attempt for me to see what that fight will do to my mana, but other than that it's not hard to stay afloat in the Firelands.

Jaws of Defeat should be used on cooldown. It will save the same amount of mana as long as your'e constantly casting no matter what spell you use.
