My favorite moment in World of Warcraft, if my first raiding experience. It was "Obsidium Sanctum" in Wrath of the Lich King. I got in after they had downed Tenebron (one of the small drakes) and I asked what he dropped. The Raid leader responded with "The Best Gear In The Game, The legendary even dropped" I didnt know much about gear at the time, so I believed them. I then kicked my computer monitor, and heard them on vent saying "It was a Joke".... 300$ later, I got to raid again. :]
My first time healing undead Strat. At the time I was a Forsaken shadow/holy hybrid spec for soloing and grinding PvP for titles. I was unfamiliar with PvE dungeons and I felt that the pressure was too much for me to handle. One day, while grinding Timbermaw Hold rep, I was randomly whispered by a group was in desperate need of a healer. I explained my inexperience with the dungeon, but begrudgingly agreed to go. I was quickly summoned by the warlock in the group. I warily exchanged greetings with my tank and DPS. We buffed. We drank. And then we went to it.I was terrified, to say the least. I had never seen Strat before. I was deathly afraid of both the plagued zones. I had not set foot in either one since being scared away by the horrors of Andorhal. I figured, if the Western Plaguelands were scary, well, I certainly wouldn't want to go East!Much to my surprise we ripped the place to shreds. We didn't save the hostages, but the experience was, at the time, the MOST fun I had ever had in WoW. I was running high on the rush of endorphins combined with the drama and suspense of the entire instance. I narrowly kept us alive through face-pulls, wandering patrols, and swarms of undead. I burned through stacks of water to keep up with the demands on my mana. I shackled undead while furiously wanded mobs to death hoping to catch a Spirit Tap proc. The group fought tooth and nail, sword and board, and claw and fist through the seemingly never-ending swarm. When we finally reached Baron Rivendare we agreed to use our Holy Waters one-by-one to handle the army of undead the Baron would raise to battle us. Together, in that small room, we took him down. Alone we were vulnerable and weak, but together we were heroes. Together we purged Stratholme of its plagued citizens and vile leaders... and it was awesome.
My favorite memory is back when Arikara was still tamable. me and my friend Ambell had gone on a big adventure to tame him. i was level 21 at the time, so it was really hard for me. after a few failures we finally got him! but, we didn't want to waste time fighting all the grim totem again so we just ran through them after a while we had at least 20 chasing us, we didn't want to die and pay repairs so we had jumped off the edge into a pool of water. which just so happened to be filled with water elemental's where we were thoroughly pwned. That had to be one of the greatest adventures on wow i have ever had.
I'll never forget my first time wiping a raid! Not that it hasn't happened since, but that first taste of shame and facepalmage was unforgettable.I was on my first toon, a hunter, in UBRS. I was assigned to kite Drak while the raid killed the adds. So we start, I pull Drak down the hall, lay an ice trap, concussive shot, run some more, ok all looks good, right off the edge of that damned bridge. Ded. Drak runs back and wipes the raid. Respawns. QQ. Everyone leaves. Ded. XD
There is such an amense of memories I have with this game both great ones and bad ones, but one of my most memorable memories I have ever had was back in TBC (The Burnin Crusade) Where we more or less had started in my guild doing Gruul's Lair, and we had wiped for days and days (Due to people not being aware of falling sontes "Yes I know <.<") But when we finally got the kill everyone was so thrilled, so we returned back next week, and wiped 3 times and our Raid Leader more or less Ragequitted and said the one thing he shouldnt have one. "If you guys kill this boss on this try your welcome to make a post on the forum about what big of a noob I am) (And we are not talking guild forum but the actual Deathwing EU general forum) And we went agianst the boss, and killed him just after he said that.... 20 minutes later there was a post regarding a priest named "Ellwen" about what big of a noob he was, and "omfg he cant play for straight" and it went over 6 sides and ended up being removed by the blizzard GM's was really really funny, was diffently some of my best time I had with that guild (We even did Drunken Karazhan runs, where it got pretty much out of hand everytime spending over 2h just getting half of the bosses down with SSC+TK gear lol) Was a guild that game me a lot of memories :)Love to some of the people that are still left in Sensibility - Deathwing EU
My favourite memory was when I first in my entire life created my first character at wow, it was a dwarf paladin and it was an epic moment! Everything was so cool, It felt unbelievable after have seen in my "WoW book" in months how the citys where build and which classes existed etc. And I have always love winter and snow and I begun to play year 2007 late in August, so you can maybe understand how happy I was to be in that place I always have dreamed about and that my wish came true - In a game! And of course discovering every little corner and see what's hiding in there have never been so fun and who cares if I died like million of times, I founded new animalz and scary looking zombies *Explorer*
For some reason, my favourite memory is from back in gnomer way back in vanilla when the instance used to glitch and every mob in it would pull at once. Since I was a hunter, I just feigned death and watched my group die. That was awesome. Then my goblin jumper cables actually worked for once. That was even more awesome.
My favorite memory was catching the black tipped shark for the Saturday Fishing Tourney. As I have very few weekends off I have very few chances to get that done.I had to make sure add-ons are off, Hearth is off CD and set to Dalaran and I have all the gear with me. I loved the congratz and even liked hearing the boo and hiss personal tells from a few losers. I was happy to tell them where and how many casts it took.( its all random luck, so it doesn't matter where you fish, I tell them).
The best moment in WoW for me was when we killed the Lich King for the first time, I still remember how it was difficult and we killed him with just 9 people out of 25 alive. I was among those less fortunate so I was waiting dead somewhere at the foot of the citadel. The final animation was just mind-blowing ^_^
I remember when i started to play wow back in tbc, me and my best friend saw the trailar and thought it was awsome. Later that day we had downloaded the game and made a charecter, after 9 hard days we finally reached lvl 20 and then i ran to the game store and bought vanilla. We started to leveling again and after like 2 mounth we reached lvl 60. We were still noobs:P... When we saw the trailer for The burning crusade, we thought it was really awsome that you could fly in the new place Outland. So once again i ran to the game store and bought the third expansion, we was really excited to lvl 70 and get a flying mount. The flying mount was really expensive for us becouse we didnt know how to make money or how to save the money that we served. It took a long time before we could buy it. But after mounth (hard mounth) we were able to afford to buy our first flying mount, and in the end of tbc we joined a guild and took our first raid, Karazhan. The End:)
Nothing beats old school vanilla first kills with my guild back then. As a tank, I pride myself, together with other warrior tanks in tanking Rag and Nef successfully until he goes down. The feeling of tanking Nefarain at the ledge of the balcony with absolutely no other straight view till date sticks in my mind as we have to tackle the sudden class calls and move Nefarian's facing direction. The feeling of him going down for the first time is priceless, but more importantly, when he did not drop Ashkandi for so many damn weeks, and suddenly dropped both the physical weapons at one go, our entire guild felt so relieved because there's so much QQ-ing going around that our guild was cursed. I got my weapon upgrade through Crul'shorukh, Edge of Chaos, replacing my Quel'Serrar(guild gift) which has been a staple through so many warrior tanks in the guild. Thanks!
