One of my best memories was my first instance - RFC. Had gotten some instructions what to do and how to behave in a group but damn I was nervous. Needed on loot that wasnt mine to need on and pet-pulled some mobs of course. I was a random noob but got that sorted pretty quick with helpful people around me. That run was epic!
Back in Vanilla, we used to do faction raids on enemy cities (not only capitals), and there was this raid that was quite organized and lots of people turned up. So we marched from the Crossroads to Ashenvale. Now, mind you, this was in the first days of the game so there were like only 2 level 50s at most, most of us were level 20-30 and some level 40s. The higher level characters lead the way and served as the vanguard while we followed behind them. On the way north to Ashenvale people who were doing quests, would see the long march and ask what all the fuss was about (some would actually come up close to ask instead of whispering, oh the early days :P it still felt more realistic), after we told them what was going on they would join in.Eventually the alliance found out about it and started gathering in Astranaar to defend, so the 2 armies clashed there. Someone even had the undead players go through the water and around, since back in the day Undead could hold their breath much longer underwater than any other race, they wouldn't see it coming. I don't really remember the outcome, the fight lasted for quite a while and there was much yelling and talking in the raid. Back then WoW actually had this feeling that it's, indeed, a world. Rallying people to attack, then having people along the road coming closer to take a look, ask you what was going on, and if they could tag along gave the game a sense of realism. Even the fight was great, with the high levels trying to lead the attack or protect different parts of the army. Even scattering after defeat was fun, while trying to evade pursuers (or vice versa the hunt was fun too). Great times.
My favorite wow moment, was when i played with my 10year old at the time, she's 11 now. But we played together great. I was healing n she was tanking. Best druid tank i've ever played with, n i'm not saying that cause she';s my daughter. TX! WOW for hte wonderful family moment/s to remember for ever.
My Favorite Moment:Bored and looking for some excitement, my 3 friends and I decided to play around with the Horde. We made some Orcs and started running around doing the starter quests together. We had this one quest where we had to go kill some boars together so my three other friends and I started farming for the kills. We spread out again and set the loot to FFA. My three other friends looked ahead and saw a single boar grazing alone in the grass below some cliffs. Running up towards it for the kill, they were immediately interrupted by a familiar shadow above their heads. "FROM OUT OF NOWHERE!" I screamed as I landed on the tiny beast, killing it with my mighty blade. The blood of the boar spilled onto the virgin fields and my three friends triumphantly celebrated a most epic victory and turned in our quest.I don't think we leveled past Razor Hill.
My favorite memory was during the Noblegarden holiday. Too often, I see people who take the game much too seriously. It's a fun game, and can deserve a serious attitude, but some people can take it too far at times that are not appropriate. During Noblegarden, I queued and entered an Arathi Basin battle. Before the battle started, everyone had been turned into rabbits! Although we obviously would not reach bases before the opposing team in rabbit form, I imagine it was quite the sight to see an army of rabbits pouring out from behind the gates! This showed that people can really have a good time and simply enjoy the game and its circumstancial, random oddities, even if it means losing a battle!
My favorite memory of WoW over the years would have to be the opening of Ahn'Qiraj. I was new to WoW and the pure scale of it all and the cooperation across the entire server was amazing. It was my first real world event and is my favorite memory even after three expansions.
My favorite moment in wow is in ICC 10man heroic when i was last man standing as tank at Blood Queen encounter. The feeling i got when i killed her on my own, from 300k to 0 was so awesome and i just couldn't believe it myself.
My favorite moment was when I first saw Lokholar and the Ancient clashing in AV, in TBC. People kept yelling us to gather somewhere around Field of Strifes and we started summoning the Ice Lord. I was stunned when I saw these two giants and thought to myself "My life is now complete."
Hmm so many great memories to choose from... but I'm going to have to go with one of my newb days.My friend and I both rolled Alliance, he was a night elf hunter and I was a human warlock. Around level 18 he decided he wanted a tiger skinned cat, but the lowest level mob that was available was the tigers on the Echo Isles. So we mapped out our route from Stormwind to Menethil Harbour, to Dustawallow Marsh then northwards to the Echo Isles. Us being level 18 and Dustwallow being a level 30 zone, it was quite the trek. I still remember the adventure quite vividly, even though it was about 4 years ago. We discovered giant stealth spiders, elite sharks that came onto the land, and we will never forget the poor level 30 dwarf paladin who gave his life to save us from the twenty mobs that were chasing us down :)
My favorite wow memory is when I was out in the middle of nowhere fishing and the message popped up that my oracle egg was ready to hatch. I opened it up and there was my proto drake. I had totally forgotten that i had that. For the longest time I got in the habit of logging out at the oracle camp so that I could open my egg the moment i logged in and get a new one. The one time I didn't do that, I got my mount. A watched pot never boils i guess.
