My favourite memory is fairly simple: launching the game for the first time. More specifically, opening the map and being awed at the size of the world after zooming out twice. Having never played an MMO before and being a long-time Warcraft fan, it really was a dream come true.
My favorite WoW memory was killing the Lich King for the first time and getting the world-renowned Kingslayer title. That was an epic moment for me.
I'm not a WoW veteran like a lot around me, so my favorite memory is in fairly recent history. My main is an 85 Blood Elf MM Hunter. I've talked to so many other hunters to try to get the best rotation for the best dps. And so anyways when ZG was re-introduced our guild tried..and wiped a whole hell of a lot of times before we made it to Jin'do. I was second dps the whole way with about 11k going through (lower than my usu 15k) and the rest of the group was better geared. We were almost to the point of calling it a night and getting some sleep. When we finally made the damned kill everyone in vent was cheering and saying," Finally thank god!" I was in charge of killing the twisted spirits since I was ranged, and I couldn't keep up with all of them spawning around me, which made it harder for us to focus on the rest of the fight by getting mauled by them. He dropped a Twin Blade of the Hakkari dagger and I went to see if it would be better compared to what I was using. Low and behold I had my Mastercraft Kalu'ak Fishing Pole equipped the whole dungeon! So that was why my dps wasn't normal and why I was having a hard time! I slowly said in vent,"Uh guys...I was using my fishing pole..." Everyone laughed. It made me feel good because I was in the top dps and completed one of the new Zandalari Dungeons with a damn lvl 80 fishing pole. So now I can't wait for Firelands to come out and give my pole a chance to kick ass again and become better geared, and hopefully to tame Skarr (if he's not exotic!) :D <3 thanks!
Hitting 85. It felt so good to know that i'm at the top.
my favorite memory on WoW is when me and my entire party was about to die on a boss and before the healer die they gave one last heal to the tank and the tank did one more hit on the boss and the boss died so did the rest of us, we got the achievement and my friend got the mount, he got lucky but i wish every Boss Battle was like that one it was a good night :D
My best WoW memory is from a few years ago, when my friends and I had a birthday party for one of them (a tauren) at Thunder Bluff. We announced it at the trade chat so friends from other guilds could join too... We had food, chocolate cakes, fireworks and lots of drinks while we sat at the lake and chatted. Then we decided to queue for bgs together, but everyone had to go naked! LOLIt was so fun... and we actually won a couple of Warsongs!
It's too hard to figure out what my absolute most favorite moment is. I'll go with one of my more recent favorites: finally getting a DK alt to level 80 and summoning my very own Army of the Dead.
I think one of my favorite memories of WoW was back when I started playing too. It was Vanilla WoW and a friend from school got me into it. I rolled my first character, a night elf druid named Sorowyn that followed me till this day. She doesn't have the same name anymore but she's survived two server changes and a name change. I remember exploring the world of Azeroth and being so excited to go Outlands, I hadn't even managed to get to 60 in Vanilla yet, but I was so excited about being able to finally fly. When I got bird form, I flew all over Outlands, checking out the floating islands for hours. I did the same thing when flying went live in Old Azeroth by exploring all those nooks crannies that I knew were their just out of my reach while leveling. I still do it to this day, fly around for the sake of nostalgia as a big purple bird when the fancy strikes me. :3I suppose to add another minor one, another favorite of mine was watching two of my friends do a segment of Hamlet in trade chat, and actually have the people in chat quiet long enough and even participate in it!
My most memorable moment was when the game first launched and everyone was rushing to 40 to get a mount. Trying to group up and kill the few alliance who obtained them in STV while continuing to level in the mob rich zone.
