My favorite memory in WoW is when I got my first netherdrake flying mount. I worked FOREVER to earn the rep to buy one. (There was lots of competition in the zone at that time.) It was so cool to ride around on that beauty!
A very fond memory for me is holding a funeral ingame in nagrand for a very good friend of the guild who had died from a long term illness. We held it on one of the floating islands and every guild member present had a bit to say. Nicest thing was that from a certain angle we aranged ourselfs in a heart shape around a campire without having aranged it.WoW is about the community which I hold dear and I wouldn't want to be without my current guild. It's what holds me bound to the game for sure.
My favorite memory is WoW is from way back in Vanilla. There were several guilds on Illidan that had killed Onyxia, but it was still a fairly big deal. The only boss bigger at the time was Ragnaros. After several weeks of attempts, and our tank struggling to maintain threat, I got frustrated, thought about it for a while and figured it would be a reasonable idea to have the tank switch to his Arcanite Reaper shortly after the pull. The most surprising thing is that it actually worked. We had a solid group of really good healers, and most of the incoming damage was fire-based anyway. No more threat problems. We actually downed Onyxia long before she was trivial, with our tank using an Arcanite Reaper.

I have a simple but fun little memory from my first few weeks in WoW back in mid vanilla when it was possible to kite that one dragon from the Blasted Lands to Stormwind. Here was my little level 14 pally logging in and stepping out the SW Inn (back when there could be only one) and looking up. "Cool, a dragon... Woah, I'm dead."Then there was going and watching the dragon battles in the throne room.
My favorite memory in WoW is the night that my raid team first beat Syndragosa. We had struggled with the evil wyrm for about a month and were starting to lose interest in raiding altogether. But, one night, my team decided to simply zerg on the last phase. At around 1%, everyone in the team was screaming excitedly into ventrilo. I started shouting obscenities at her and called her a few choice names. "Die *&%$#!" And she fell over. We all made a lot of noise for a minute or so and it was glorious. Then we looted her. Then we sharded some things. LOL
My favorite memory was my first time tanking Onyxia at level 60. I didn't know anything about the tanking mechanics, but they expected me to do it. The whole thing was a mess, but we ended up downing her. It was a hilariously fun time.
This was back in 2005. I was a level 32 druid, questing in Duskwood. It was quite late at night, and there were a few players around. We were grouped up, helping each other out. And then we heard it. A roar from the deep woods as Stitches shambled into unlife. The town crier called out as each guard fell in the abomination's path. In the meantime, we were all scrambling a defence together. Warriors held the front line, rogues hidden behind nearby trees and houses. Rain began falling as we frantically called in favours from friends in nearby zones, hoping they could get to us in time. Then, one of our scouting rogues saw it.The Darkshire clock began to strike 12 as the message hit the general channel. "He's here."I'd only witnessed abominations once before. Skulking around the Undercity's sewers. They were unnerving then, but they were idle. Placid. This... monstrosity was angry. Coming for us.The warriors charged, slamming into the beast's bulk. The rogues began furiously thrashing at his back, using every trick they had. I had to divide myself between damage and healing, burning through my mana at an alarming rate. The warriors started falling, and the rogues were getting swatted like gnats. It all seemed lost until a paladin arrived, astride a horned charger. It was the first time I'd ever seen a level 60 character before. It was amazing. He pummelled the creature into a pulp, light ripping it apart.I've loved paladins ever since. I immediately rolled one, and I've played it ever since. Sure, he's been faction changed now, and server changed several times, but they still hold a soft spot in my heart because of that one man, who saved Darkshire that day.
I'd say my favorite memory was the elemental invasion event just before cataclysm, because I missed the last two pre launch events it meant a lot to me participating in it.
its friday friday gotta win this contest on friday
My favorite moment was my old guild's first downing of Kara. Prior to this, the guild was under different leadership and raiding was something that just didn't happen. Eventually I took over the guild and got us to start raiding. That first full clear was a nice change of pace.
My favourite memory? Hm. So many.. how about the first favourite memory? It was the first day I picked up the Burning Crusade expansion and upgraded myself from a trial account to a real one.My best friends had been telling me how awesome WoW was and how I should be playing, but had resigned themselves to the idea that I wouldn't end up buying the game. One Saturday I upgraded my account to the full version (this was just when BC was released, too) and added their names to my friend's list and then leveled as fast and as hard as I could so I could to get to their level so I could surprise them.Still play with them and love the game to this day and kick myself for not buying it sooner.
one of my favorite wow memories is when cata first came out i was 7 months pregnant with my first child so my husband and i made worgens to level together and we had named them after our child with the girl and boy names we had chosen because we hadn't known what our baby was going to be. and thruout my pregnancy i had given her the nickname 'my little 3k shaman' throughout my pregnancy. my husband and i got our worgens to 40 by the time she was born and now as date nights when we have a relative watch the baby we level our worgens with the hopes to get them to 85 someday =)
