There are a lot of songs that are kind of emotional for me. These are a couple I can think of off of the top of my head:
"My Valentine"- Martina McBride
"I'd Give My Life For You"- from Miss Saigon
"I Dreamed a Dream" from Les Miserables
"Better than a Hallelujah"- Amy Grant
"Amazing Grace"
"Christmas Shoes" (Which I think is cheating, because they sat around and tried to figure out the saddest
possible thing in the world to write a song about)
"I Will Follow You Into the Dark"- Death Cab for Cutie

Only things that come to mind immediately are Tears in Heaven by Eric Clapton for the story behind it and PDiddy/Faith Evans/112's I'll Be Missing You - reminds me of my dead cousins.

The Ataris - The Saddest Song
It hits home to me pretty good because the first year and half of my kids life I was gone all the time working, usually out of state alot and it killed me. (sorry for the Vevo but I enjoy the video)
Queen - Mother Love
being a huge Queen fan this song makes me choke up because Brian May had to finish the last verse of the song because Freddie was already gone :-(

Indestructible - Disturbed
- Makes me feel INDESTRUCTIBLE!
How Do You Like Me Now? - Toby Keith
- What I one day plan to say to every chick that's ever rejected me.
Should've when you Could've - Skillet
- See above comment.
Lucy - Skillet
- My exact words at the begining of the song "Oh, that's nice; he remembers her name." My reaction after the second verse "Oh... sh*t."
EDIT: And
Never Surrender - Skillet
- Because of all the times my life has sucked
that
much.

However, there's only one song in the world that makes me feel sad.
Shine on You Crazy Diamond
by Pink Floyd is soo depressing but...so good. It's from what might be my favorite album of all time.
I agree the whole damn album is amazing, Have a Cigar has recently became my fav from that album.

Songs that really get me are generally the more irregular songs like a lot of Regina Spektor's or Kate Nash's songs. For example

Yeah Wish You Were Here the song will always be an amazing favorite of mine. I dont wanna sound like a "druggie" but
Funkadelic - Maggot Brain
is that much more awesome after smoking a blunt and just chilling, its amazing even sober but damn I can just chill on the couch and not even move a muscle while this song plays.

Best Of You - Foo Fighters
. Coming back from the university, kinda pissed off at the traffic.
What I've Done - Linkin Park
. Because I'm still pissed off at the traffic.
Stop And Stare - One Republic
. Turn all the lights off. Play this song. You will find inner peace and you will take your time to appreciate the things that really matter in life.
Iris - Goo Goo Dolls
. Because you need to get back to reality after meditating that much.
Sexy Chick - Akon
. It's the song for when me and the boys start getting wasted before going to a pub.
If you felt that you liked the stuff I linked, I don't mind posting more stuff; because this stuff is what makes my life moving forward.

my 5th grade teacher was very inspirational and a important figure in my life. he played country, loved country, and sang to us in class everyday with a passion i cannot interpret for you. when he left to vacation in hawaii, he played this song and cried. after egypt, he brought us all gifts and gave us egyptian paper.
he passed away 7-8 years ago due to cancer. this song gets me emotional because he always played it, sung it with his heart, and the entire class was entranced in his charisma every time he played.

therefore, here I am, a musician because of his passion. i have the same eyes as him when it comes to music. moreoever, he lives through me even after death.
