Rotated Elemental out for Warlock for last few attempts
Druids rotate between Halfus and Nether for stack swapping
DK who later joined we had on all other adds
I was feeling alright with my healing during the raid. Recount was showing me mid or top on heals while keeping 10-20% over-heals. I was always over 10k it said, sometimes at 14k. I was also interrupting and supposed to "raid heal" (but the tanks were just too low too much). However, people kept positioning themselves so that my chain heal was lucky if it hit 2 people. And spike damage on people seemed to favor a Riptide+2GHW cycle of healing.
Was releasing Storm+Whelps+Nether. As Storm died, Time was released and was the next target (fire mage dots were supposed to have the whelps down by then), then move to Nether then Halfus. Slate was never released. As such even on our best attempts, we were at a 2:00 min mark til enrage by the time we move to Halfus.
However after looking at this log someone posted I feel a terrible sinking hole in my stomach. Especially because the priest has never impressed me before and usually is terrible, especially with raid awareness.
Any advice or tips for Heroic: Halfus?
edit1: just did a quick review of other shaman on the WoL for that 10m Heroic. Seems they top heal with Healing Rain, Riptide

I've only downed him once (lack of time) but we ended up going with 3 tanks for our first kill. It was me (resto shaman) mainly on the tanks along with a resto druid and priest (I can't remember holy or disc >.> ). Going 3 tanks lowered incoming tank damage significantly and made drake switching easier, but it pushed us very close to the enrage, we actually got the kill ~4 seconds after the enrage.
Other than setup (DK/Druid/Paladin tanks) and healers' HPS (10.5k shaman, 10.5k priest, 14.5k druid), there's not much more I can offer. This might be better answered in the Dungeons and Raids subforum =O
Edit: I forgot a big one. Make someone else interrupt! You have to use a /stopcast to interrupt, but that interrupted cast is supposed to be a lifesaving heal!

yup, i set him as my focus for a /stop cast windshear macro

Err, As of This...
Well....
Umm...
OK, I believe there are 3 tanks, druid/druid/dk. All 3 tanks should bring the mobs into the center.
At there, you should lay down Healing Rain, even though you only has 4 or 5 people will be in it.
People shouldn't stacking, but they should be relatively close and it is better to ask them stand in the healing rain.
You should keep Riptide on all 3 tanks 90% of the times.
Use unleash life with greater healing for spot healing or tank healing.
Keep Earth shield up too.

I meant that you're the worst person to ask to interrupt,
as a healer.
An interrupted cast could have dire consequences, never mind that it can be very distracting to watch the ground, the focus target, AND raid frames.

yeah I'd prefer it if I didn't have to worry about it. Usually I keep my Main Tank as focus for easier ES and just have my target as the caster, but for Halfus I set him as the focus so I could watch his castbar that much more easily. I begrudgingly take care of it because it seems the others in the raid can't handle it. I just see it as an interrupted nova is the same as a huge AoE heal. It helps fool me at least.... I usually have the most interrupts (or only) on any encounter that has interrupt mechanics.

I've only done some random forays into H Halfus, but shouldn't the tank be doing the interrupt?
My GF was one of 2 tanks we were running, and was saying that watching Stacks/Wipe Buff/Ground/Position/Cast was more than she could not-stressed-fully handle, if that makes sense, but you're running 3 tanks and apparently an Elemental shaman. Put him into training for that duty.

I've been awfully high on overhealing. Doesn't skada and recount include healing stream totem?
or do you not use healing stream totem? what's the preferred totem?

Yes, they include healing stream totem into your healing by default. You can change that by having pets not included with owner's damage/healing. We always use healing stream because it is an extra 1k+ hps which is awesome for only having to put it down.

to make this fight a lot easier, release four drakes right away. one tank just picks up the whole right side of the room (2 drakes + whelps). the other two tanks do the tank swapping (halfus and the frenzy drake) with the MS debuff. i've healed this on my shammy and i can tell you it's pretty easy to keep the tank up that's got 2 drakes & whelps, plus drop healing rains. if non-tanks want to get healed, they'll run to the blue circle.
be sure all three tanks are in your party. i'm pretty much spamming riptide + GHW on the tank, with HR's after the fire breaths if my tank is full. once 2 drakes are dead, i'm close to oom, so i start mixing in LB on halfus. TC is ridiculously OP on this fight.
3 tanks, 3 healers - each gets their own healer. by releasing all four (except the stun guy), you have almost no raid damage, so lightwell + rejuvs + riptides + random healing rains is plenty to keep the raid up. heroism right away, kill the first drake and it gets pretty easy from there. we go ahead and release the stun guy after all the rest are dead, but we don't kill him. the stuns can be really nice and can even interrupt his roar.
remember also that the healers doing the MS tanks aren't going to look great on the meters because of the debuff.

Better late than never, but:
Tanks should be covering interrupts. They nerfed the Shadow Nova cooldown for a reason, and having healers interrupt on this fight (or any fight for that matter) is a major no-no anyway. Whoever is not tanking Halfus should only build enough threat on his/her target, so the healers won't grab aggro, and otherwise be focusing entirely on keeping Halfus quiet.
Do tell me why that priest is holy instead of disc. Disc makes this fight so laughable - and a hell of a lot easier to manage, since the two other healers only have to last until two drakes are down, as the Disc priest will pretty much cover all tank healing from there on out.
Spirit Link is a god send on this fight, especially in the early part where all three tanks will be taking heavy damage, and where two of them will have the healing reduction debuff on them.
I'm not a fan of TC spec for this fight, as you shouldn't really have the time to be casting LBs - and by the time Halfus has enough debuffs to make it worthwhile, the worst part of healing is already over.
Our Halfus kill from last night:

Note how Atonement just wipes the floor on healing, even if you subtract its 32% overhealing done.

really? i absolutely love it for this fight. i can totally empty my mana bar (including mana tide and pot) by the time the first two drakes go down. then it's easy to mix in some LB and fill my mana bar back to full while raid healing and helping with the other tanks.
looking at a log from our kill last night (i was tanking, but we have another resto shaman), he got 167k mana back from TC.
