ok i've been to a couple sites, and each way saying very different things. I want to know once i hit 85 which stats (besides agility obviously) should i be focusing on. from what i've been lead to believe the order for my BM spec stats should be
Agility
Hit
Crit
Mastery
Haste
If i'm wrong, what is the right order?

From what I've seen, Mastery and Haste should be switched. Just don't ask me to prove it. :)

Im not a wow scientist but from the research and comparisons between elist jerks and other sites,Mastery and haste are almost equal with mastery coming ahead. Although, its only ahead because of the way haste is scaling for hunters thus far. You want both stats without compromising the other more important stats. You want to value mastery more than haste but you want to keep haste around the vicinity of 757. It's a lil bit of a balancing act. This is how I balance my stats and i do very well on the dos charts... I hope this helps.... Does anyone out there disagree?

sounds about right, BM is a bit of a pain stat wise, due to the fact that our main dps is pet based, so i would say the mastery would be just above haste, but by less than my pinky

Yup, just as Noatalba put it , you are pretty much spot on. The reason behind low haste needed is the talent/spec/ and set bonus takes a big chuck of what is needed, anything more is waste
Essentially gear as if you were an enhancement shaman (minus the Exp of course
:P

one last thing, what is the cap for hit rating at level 85? i've heard so many numbers it's unreal

doesn't it show you on your characters sheet?
6% for heroic 5 man bosses
8% for raid bosses

I would say that, if you are not min/maxing your brains off, to go:
Ranged DPS
Agility
Hit Rating (try to keep it at 8%, more is useless)
Critical Rating, Mastery and Haste
The last entry will not affect your overall DPS as much as the way you are playing.
