You would bring an Enh shammy with no Fury warrior and no
REt Paladin
?
you must be joking.
Prot War, Prot Paladin, Holy paladin, Holy Priest,
Ret Paladin
, Mage, Warlock, Enh Shammy, Hunter, Fury warrior.
Forget rogues if you're stacking windfury and an MM hunter.
Rogues bring NO utility. absolutely 0. Just raw damage that doesn't scale as well with buffs like Fury warriors and Ret paladins.
Rogue damage doesn't scale as well as ret paladins. Why am I responding to this post?

My opinion, and reason why
Shadow Priest
- mana battery,
great single target dps
Your opinion is wrong. Yes, shadow priests have good dps. But not great. And rightfully so. If they did have great dps, you'd have no reason to bring other classes. But because their dps is only medicore, you have to bring other classes to progression raids. Again, farm raids are meaningless because class composition doesn't matter.
So I guess this thread is what's the best raid for T4 guilds (with no badge gear because that's T5-T6 level gear) trying to do ZA.

prot war
feral tank druid
holy paladin/priest
resto shaman/druid
hunter surv
hunter mm
warlock
fire mage
rogue
shadow priest
*rubs eyes*
This is actually a good list. But you could switch a few classes and still get optimal results.

Shadow priests are very viable as DPS at the T4 level, which is what we are talking about. The only problem is that a Shadow Priest's DPS is almost exclusively tied to +spell damage only (spell +hit and +crit have very minor effects on their DPS, and +haste is only a bit better than those). As a result once they get fully epic'd and there are no more huge upgrades their spec scales the worst of every class/spec in the game.

Ok so how about this:
2 Mace Combat Rogues outfitted in feral druid tanking gear, both with slow mh's and oh's, that way most of their hits (assuming they have a big enough AP and hit) will hit for a fair amount of damage and hold threat
3 Combat Rogues with A LOT of bandages... to heal of course.
5 Combat Rogues for DPS, probably dagger specced, because they offer nice burst damage but normal hits are usually lower than swords or fists, so they don't overshoot the mace rogue tanks.
This is why I don't theory craft often.

Firstly, I realize every person responding to this thread leads their meters. For example, if I say ret pally or shad priest dps is mediocre (sucks), there are examples in this thread that will explain that their class dps is good. We have to use generalizations here and the fact that the people you play with suck doesn't justify your entire class being a good dps class.
Secondly, and try to follow me on this point, if shadow priests could put up as much dps as primary dps classes, why would primary classes be accepted to raids? And you could apply this argument further to ask why rogues are taken at all? Rogues are the only dps class that bring nothing but dps to raids. Sap is grossly underpowered and is rarely (never) used.
Any decent raid has multiple rogues because they have insane single-target (raid boss) dps. Yes, I'm sure you can recall Kara/ZA (doesn't count) raids that didn't have any rogues. And I'm sure you know of some well-progressed guilds that don't use rogues in their 25man raids (actually, I'm sure you don't). I guarantee those guilds would raise their raid's dps by putting 2-3 rogues in their raid (with the correct group composition).
Primary dps classes (Warlock/Mage/Hunter/Rogue) will always (with equal gear and experience) put out more dps than support dps classes (Shaman/Priest/Druid/Paladin/Warrior). That's just how the game is designed. Again, I know you have examples to the contrary but remember "equal gear and experience." That
in no way
means primary dps classes are "better"; every class has their role. But if you're talking strictly dps and meter leaders, I'm sorry...

Killed Curator with that group during evocation with this group.
Full clear of Karazhan in 3 hours, optional bosses included, even went through the trash between opera and backdoor, which went so very fast..
