should be permitted without having pricks like Adamsm being able to derail the thread and ultimately have it locked.I smell a lock for this thread too, since you seem to have a desire to attack other users.
practice what is preached and delete their rubbish and stop giving them what they seekAnd they did; they deleted your anti-RIFT rubbish and insults against the website you claim to love.

Dude it's a free website, and you are attacking specific users; are you seriously not expecting them to respond?

Hoddie,
I would advise editing your post as soon as possible and refrain from using direct insults at other wowhead users. If you do this, I'm sure adamsm would edit out his quote, and we might be able to start to address some of the issues in your post.
Cheers,
Hat

Hoddie,
Wowhead Feedback Forum Guidelines: Please read me first!
This forum is not meant for open discussion. If you read the rules it clearly stats that. In my opinion, and I may be wrong, the only reason that your topic and other topics that do undertake a discussion are not locked immediately, is because the staff like to get the input of users as well as openly discuss their intentions for all to see.
Your post goes against the rules. Adamsm more often than not, replies to such threads with the same level of sarcasm or hostility often started by the original posted himself. In this situation...you.
If you want your questions or complaints answered by ONLY the administrators, you should use the Feedback option, or use your special premium email contact to forward your questions.
Posting here, in an open forum does give others the right to add their own opinions as well.
My opinion is that you should edit your post, seeing as it does directly insult another wowhead member, and then listen to anyone else the posts here with a valid response to your topic.
You don't need to agree with what they say, but you should be open minded enough to see counter point when it is valid.
Cheers,
Hat

Meh, was merely a suggestion to try and help you get a little more credibility. Last time I checked, insulting people no mater the history gets you no where.
As for you original topic:
There is a
whole thread
with talks about the blog and its lay out.
I'm genuinely concerned that Wowhead is forever moving away from its original purpose in an attempt to become the new MMO-C or WoW Insider. That's all well and good but if it means an endless stream of more intrusive advertising and product promotion through blogs in order to pay for the staff needed to take this site to the next level, in what ultimately isn't a scalable business, I have to wonder if it's worth it. Clearly you're in a better position to answer that than I am, but it doesn't stop me (and some others) from being concerned. Advertisements keep this site running. Yet wowhead has a large respect for the level of intrusiveness that the advertisements bring. Is a full page Rift add intrusive? I don't believe so. Would a full page rift add pay well? God I should hope so. The people at Rift, or sub advertising company are getting exposure to their perfect target audience. They want wow players, and wow players come to wowhead. It doesn't get any better than that. It would make no sense for Blizzard to advertise wow on this sight. So your never going to get wow related adds.
As for the "endless stream of more intrusive advertising" .....(like how the Meebo bar was revoked after we got over 200 complaints in a day).
That bar was incredibly intrusive, and it was quickly removed because of feedback from users.
This is a Wowhead feedback forum, it's not necessary for random people to join in the thread on behalf of Wowhead, unless of course it's to provide a counter to the points raised in my post.
There is very little counter point to be had. And as I have said before. This is the wowhead feedback forum, its is not necessary for random people to post their dissatisfactions with the site. They, you, should uses the appropriate channels. AKA Feedback@wowhead.com

If you feel you have a strong point to make then make it. Make your point well and within the forum rules.
If people disagree with you then that is their prerogative and making things personal only serves to weaken your point.
You are one user. I'm sure Wowhead values your opinion but they want to hear the opinions of a range of users so you oughtn't be resistant to the discussion that results from your point.
To repeat, if you honestly think you have an important point to make then you need to present it properly for that point to be taken seriously. You are not currently doing that.

I'd like to echo this. Let's keep it within the , and keep the points clear and without anything else. If this fails even remotely one more time, this will get locked too.
E-mailing is always a good way to go with these things.

Adamsm, for whatever reason, took exception to a post I made with some information from the Cata beta some time ago, and ever since has jumped on pretty much every post I've made which left even the tiniest opening for him to cause a flame fest. The comment in question being that I would wait for Blizzard to confirm what was removed from the game with Cata instead of just one Beta tester. And the subsequent fit Hoddie threw was very amusing, saying that he would not continue to update the thread if people were not going to believe what he posted. And after that,
he created that gem
. Yes, I dislike the way you post; but since most of what you do put down is out right flames as well, especially in regards to anything that is not WoW based on the forums, even if it's not in general well...yeah.
Gnub, I'm sorry.

I also created the 'problem user' thread because you didn't just leave it to the thread mentioned above, you decided to follow me and continue the argument on other threads. So mature.Such as the way you attack me even when I don't post in a thread eh? Much better.

I'm sorry but that's patently not true. A quick look at my post history disproves this.
Lol? I'm sorry; why did your posts get deleted from the job thread? Why did you other threads end up locked? What about anytime the BFF showed up with a RIFT blog; didn't you jump in there and make comments about how this is Wowhead and not RIFThead and the like?
And Gnub, or any other moderator who passes by, if you lock this thread you simply reward Adamsm.
Or feeding your own persecution complex.
