I didn't like him, but he was pretty zealous.
Like, really really zealous.
Pretty much this.

That's true, I made it sound quite flippant when they're definitely quite serious.
But, you raise with MPs sticking their necks out and I see you with
"hyper-Injunctions"
- even MPs and lawyers can't be told about them.
(edit: and now I see a story today of one of these silly footballers taking legal action against twitter for the identity of the user breaking the injunction! /rolleyes)
...ok, just realised how far off topic both the most common discussions in this thread are >.<
It's Ryan Giggs apparently. And I live in Manx, so there is a high probability of it actually being him
I just blew your mind.

I'm sorry to hear that. I suppose I credited him for being what he presented; to hear he resorted to being petty is disappointing.

We all are, he kept out of the limelight for 20 years, playing for Manchester United no less. Him and Paul Scholes are the two people you never hear about in the press for negativity off the pitch, and what made him do that at 38 is beyond me. He should really have known better.
Small consolation, he admitted it to his wife and they put on a show for United's Presentation Night, Wedding Ring still on and such, so maybe hes got away with it (for now).

I just blew your mind.
Sadly mind still intact. This controversy started to bubble around May 8th when
a twitter feed
posted known superinjunctions.
The trouble is that he's just a footballer. He doesn't need to be morally superior to anyone else to play football but people in the public eye gain that expectation. I don't care if he had an affair, that's a matter for his family to sort out.
My only problem with any of this is the fluid relationship the UK has with the freedom of speech, It makes me really uncomfortable. It's sad that stories like this sell papers but is the answer to prevent the press from printing facts?

Yeesh, I honestly hadn't thought of the money angle >.<
I'm not interested in sports like football (I like a bit of cricket but that's about as far as I'll go) so I forget about the horrendous amounts of money involved. My inner cynic should have known that everything boils down to money.

OverZealous?
And yeah, super-injuctions are the stupidest idea ever, it shouldn't be needed in the first place.
People keep misquoting me.
I said I
did
like him, but he was really, really zealous.

I changed it because it was too long to type. And the people just started quoting me :P
