My favorite zone will always be Hillsbrad Foothills. The ridiculousness of southshore being under constant attack was just too hilarious to pass up. It also seemed that whenever I had a character around level 30, I would camp them there until I was out of the appropriate level range for Scarlet Monastery. Really it all just comes down to the hysterical memories of trying to run to the gryphon master before the horde killed me again haha.
Mount Hyjal is the best. especially the intro to firelands. period.
My favourite location was the old Redridge mountain. It hasn't changed a lot but i liked the bridge when was under construction, cause i hate the flags it has now. Also the sky in the morning is beautiful and it is all so simple, a nice place to live.
For me it would have to be the goblin starting area. I know it might not really count being a place you can only visit once and only as a goblin but it was so amazingly well done. The quests really get you into your character. As far as the more standard zones go, the hunter in me definitely loves Scholazar Basin. I get complements on my taming of King Krush all the time :)
In the old world "pre-cata" I loved Nagrand. I loved that it was so jungle like, with big beasts and a pretty land scape. I loved questing in every area of this zone and used to go back there just to kill the random elites roaming the area. After cata my favorite zone is Thousand Needles. Filled with water and with a catchy new quest line it is awesome. I love how you get the little boat and get to put around, sooo cute! :)
Hinterlands and Feralas have always been my favorite zones. I haven't been through them after Cata launch but I bet they're even more awesome now =PMechanical Chicken ftw!
I like the Eastern Plaguelands, specifically Stratholme. That was one of my favorite missions in WC3, so I like to see the aftermath.
Grizzly Hills. I've always been a fan of the great outdoors and nature and so the zone suited my taste. I found the questing experience there to be rather relaxing because of the environment and I loved the "Hour of the Worg" quest line.
My favorite zone would have to be Eversong Woods because it is the most artfully realized zone in WoW. Blizzard's art team designed a zone in which the plants, animals, and even the sky are truly reflective of the magical nature of the elves that inhabit it, everything glows with golden light and the sky is painted in shades of pink and turquoise that only the elves could weave together. When I was a lowbie belf I was mesmerized by the elegent buildings blending seemlessly with the almost garden like forest of golden trees, reminding me very much of the palace of fine arts in San Francisco. Out of all of the zones Eversong posseses a unique sadness to it, the land is divided between it and the ghostlands, and the dead scar remains a depressing reminder of the countless elves lost to the scourge. All in all if I was to live on azeroth I would have to take up residence in Eversong, maybe under a golden leafed oak, or perhaps on the shore of the vivid turquoise sea? All I know is that I'm still pissed that I can't fly there :P

The new Vashj'ir is the best, its defiantly my favorite zone, for numerous reasons one it is totally under water which is amazing and a gaming masterpiece. Secondly it has a brand new mount which everyone can get an awesome sea horse lol. Finally its just a beautiful zone in every right. Thats why its my fav of all
Nagrand. It's peaceful, beautiful, and has good music to boot.
Nagrand wins the overall look nomination - zone that just fills you with positiveness. As far as quests and lore - Storm Peaks are the best, with the whole pre-Ulduar chain.
For me it has to be Icecrown. Was a hard choice between Icecrown and Storm Peaks but I stick to Icecrown. The zone gives you the impression that you've managed to be a hero, to lead the forces at the door of the Lich King. Even before the opening of the Citadel for raiders only by questing in the zone (and the questing there includes so many beautiful lore moments) you felt like "the judgement day" is coming for Arthas. Tell me, how many of you felt attracted by the presence of Frostmourne near you?
My favorite zone is Winter Spring. It's just the most epic zone in WoW, down to every single detail. Those snowy peak's and frozen land... it's just beautiful.
