My favorite zone would have to be Netherstorm in Outland. There's really no place like it. It's completely made up of islands nearly requiring you to fly all the time. This help people by learning to fly if they need to. Other zones can and will be copied in some way, shape or form yet Netherstorm is unique in it's own right.

My Favorite Place is definitely the River's Heart in Sholazar Basin! It's just so beautiful and it makes me remember the good time I had on the Playa ;)
hmm that is actually a really good question :P My favourite zone is most likely Netherstorm. Just very beautiful and I spent a huge amount of time there during BC. It is also where I hit max level for the first time, so I have a lot of fond memories there. I love the outer-space feel of it and the moons too!
My favorite zone is Terrokar Forest. It was a beautiful zone that was designed around flying mounts, with both PvP and PvE objectives to keep you occupied.
I always liked Elwynn Forest. Its quiet, peaceful and despite its plain normal appearance there are places where you can feel the magic in the world.
A tie between Nagrand of TBC and Grizzly Hills of WotLK. I love the look and feel of both zones, and think they both have solid quests to flesh them out and make them feel complete. Zul'drak is a close second because I love trolls, so a whole zone based around trolls is just awesome.
My favorite zone has to be Redridge Mountains. Not because of anything in it, but that's where I was when my first WoW friend called me to tell me a bunch of my other friends played too!
My favorite Zone would probably be Orgrimmar because of how it turned out after cataclysm. It looks more frightening, and its just a good place to hang out. It has everything that you need. Its a very convenient place to be. Thank you Blizzard for making the Horde have the better place.
Pre-Cataclysm Azshara. That place was so... empty? It had a weird vibe to it. Meeting another character felt like fate due to it being so lonely out there. Then I ganked them because they were Alliance. ._.
My favorite zone is Isle of Quel'Danas during The Burning Crusade expansion. It was the place to be for some world pvp action! It was always full of people doing their dailes and going there only to world pvp. I wish Tol Barad Peninsula was like that.
Arathi Highlands is my favourite zone. It is a landmark for many historic wars. A constant battlefield, which has been immortalized via the never-ending conflict within Arathi Basin. Aside from that, its quest line is great, I especially enjoyed those regarding Stormgarde Keep. :)
I love Deepholm, for its sense of forthcoming disaster. Some sort of crumbling that is just going to happen, but if you fight hard and dig your way trough, you feel that you can keep the pillars from collapsing. Little cons, some glitches in the pillars suddenly spreading... is that phasing or just a way to convay that sense of crumbling? :P Oh, I forgot: lots of fantastic purple things going around! :D
My Favorite zone by is the new EPL. It plays just like an action RPG, complete w/ stacking buffs, NPC's that join you & stick w/ you along the way, giving you more quests, & a very fun & epic-feeling quest line. Riding the wagon while watching the NPC's interact definitely helps make EPL, even WoW, something new & very fun.
My favourite zone is, as strange as that may sound, the old Barrens (not for its chat, however). I absolutely loved the endless plains and its mostly untouched nature with only a few single buildings placed randomly. Everything was so ordinary and unspectacular, there were many simple daily-life quests (such as: kill those pesky Plainstriders), nothing that truly changed the world. I like that a lot. The music was totally relaxing, the zone was full of animals roaming around peacefully, and the sky looked great at night. I often found myself running around in the Barrens at night doing nothing, simply because of the great atmosphere and the warm feeling it gave me.Furthermore, I have many fond memories of my first large-scale PvP experiences: the XR raids.
