A big part of the brony community seems to hate religion with a passion. I'm not a brony myself, but my facebook newsfeed is fed up with brony stuff >.>
That doesn't really have anything in particular to do with bronydom, however.

Do other communities also post a lot of gore and child porn on facebook? I'm not even friends with those bronies, but my facebook wall is.. scary.

That's not a part of, for want of a better phrase, mainstream brony culture. There's furry/gore/loli fans of pretty much any genre with a significantly large following. But they're almost always a vocal minority.
Sort of like the players that hate on every detail of WoW but continue to pay their monthly subscription fee. :P
The difference with the MLP:FiM fandom is that because it's such a large fandom, that minority is also larger than it may be for other fandoms. You're really, really, really generalising. Quit trolling. We've already got Celestia for that! :(

I'm not trying to troll, I'm just scarred for life >.>As a Brony who practically drowns himself in brony culture, I can tell you that the vast, vast majority of us stay away from R34 stuff. Most of us just enjoy the positive tone of the show (a shining in beacon in a sea of crude and cynical television shows), and the rejection of societal expectations (society does not approve of men showing any sort of feminity, and we think that is unfair and unhealthy).
As a open brony in the Army, people often tease me about "getting off to My Little Pony," but I assure you there's nothing sexual about it. In a stressful world that so often seems "half empty", it is pleasant to step into a world with an uncompromisingly positive message.

Speak for yourself >.> <.<
Well, I suppose I am only capable of speaking for myself and my close friends... :P
But that is the trend that I've seen in most of the community as well.

It's not a good show.
It better than most children's cartoons sure, but that's because those are removed
Still, this is not a good show overall, certainly in no way worth making all this hype about.
Watch HBO, removed(##RESPBREAK##)8##DELIM##hatman555##DELIM##There no need for insults. Post dislike for the show, but not for the people that watch it.

Watch HBO, removedI'm not a MLP watcher...but who cares? I mean really; who gives a crap what they are watching. Cartoons are still universal for all ages; not all shows are for everyone.(##RESPBREAK##)8##DELIM##hatman555##DELIM##

Clearly you never watched Cartoon Network back in its Golden Age, when cartoons could exhibit quality and entertainment value independent of their target age demographic. MLP draws a lot from that. Makes sense, considering who developed it for television.

I've never understood the almost pathological need for People On The Internet to wedge their negative opinions into conversations.

Episode 19
. Dear god... Assertive Fluttershy got really, really mean. Reminds me of Flutterb*tch, which, along with Lesson Zero's Twilamina Diana Sparkle, makes me wonder if the writers are trying to hint at something for the third season or if they at least noticed/intended the similarities while writting the episode. I doubt the bit about the third season, though, or else we would have seen more of Meanie Pie, Greedity, and Disloyal Dash.
The minotaur was a pretty funny bit, along with the semi-anthropomophic goats. The Rarity-hits-on-a-nerd bit also got a smile out of me, as did the classic Bug's Bunny routine Pinkie Pie pulled off (especially when she did it again to the minotaur).
Also,
Pinkie apparently gains a Fourth Wall in the presence of minotaur
.
