I'm really looking forward to the 4.2 Firelands Tier 12 set! It looks super awesome!
Despite the fact that I never fully played a Druid during Vanilla, I really loved the Cenarion Rainment. To me, it was everything a Druid stood for - nature. I particularly liked the Nordrassil Rainment, too.
Paladin T2 has to be my favorite due to the simplicity of it mixed with the badassery.
I always liked the Malorne Harness. It was the first real bit of feral gear, and it was visually appealing to boot.
I definitely love the T3 sets, because they remind me of the golden days of WoW. If you had that set, you instantly became a legend.
I play a hunter as my main, so my favorite set would have to be the Hunter t6 armor, otherwise know as the Gronnstalker's armor set. At the time I was rolling Marksman, so the extra Steady Shot dps was nice. Plus its probably the coolest of all the hunter tier sets in my opinion. 8 pieces of armor made for a pretty sweet looking hunter.
My absolute favorite is the Dreadnaught armor. The original, not the funky new stuff that came with WotLK.I was playing a warrior at T3 level back in Vanilla, and facing the undead of Naxxramas who looked like they came right out of hell and hit even harder, the Dreadnaught armor actually made me feel and look like I stood a chance to fight through the hordes of Undeath and finally put an end to Kel'thuzad. Also, i used the Dreadnaught armor when we first raided Naxxramas 25 in WotLK. Obviously, it was not very useful, but it made me feel like home.
The best set is probably the Warlock T8, Deathbringer. The 25-man version of the set had some of the most vibrant colors in a fairly drab Northrend setting, and the shadowy theme meshed so well with warlock lore and characters (Putress!) in Northrend at that point.I did my very best to get a full set of it on my Warlock, but only managed three pieces. I'll get those last two... someday.
My favorite tier would have to be T5 for priests. The whole set looks so beautiful and even more so when paired up with the matching staff. I never got to get it when BC was out since I didn't play then but am working for it right now. The hardest part is getting my friends to go with me haha.
Rogue tier one, not because it looked good, rather the opposite with HUEG ORC SHOULDERS, but it was the first epic I had, back in the day.
Heal Priest's Sanctified (T10) set- because it looked awesome and the set bonus made my bubbles even harder better!
Mage T11, just because of its general badassery.

Pretty much every armor set of Tier 2 are excellent. The Paladin set was probably the best armor set out of pretty much everything else. It really brought with it the sense of the Light's champion. It's golden which fits really well with the Charger. It has a helm that covers the entire face and only shows the glowing eyes, representing the idea that justice favors no particular person. It was also the first set that gave Paladins offensive stats and made possible some impressive PvP actions. No matter what angle I look at it, Paladin Tier 2 is simply the most well-designed armor set.
paladin tier 2 hands down
Even though I kinda got tired of it after using it for months, I'm still really a fan of Shaman tier 10. Those ghostly critters popping out of my shoulders... and the skull helm: they were fantastic. My only regret was that I wasn't able to get a full set put together in the 264 blue coloring.
T1, Priest. Why?Because thats the first Set I hever had. Although it does not look that cool, it was quite impressive to me then.
