My first character was an undead rogue. I didn't really like Horde--to be fair, they got the short end of the stick in vanilla for a lot of things--and I didn't like DPS so I just quit. A couple months I came back as a human paladin and I ended up raiding hardcore. Loved healing, loved Alliance, and so on. I found Elwynn Forest to be way better than the other areas I'd tried as Horde.
Funnily enough, like Horde more than Alliance now that they have balanced classes (e.g. shaman and paladins on both sides) plus blood elves.

My first character was a Night Elf druid on Kilrogg - EU. I don't really know why, I just left him standing in Darkshore one evening and never came back.

My first Character was a Human Rogue. I came over from Everquest. I was young and stupid, I tried evenly distributing my talent points into all three trees. It wasn't until a few months before Wrath came out that I realized how wrong I was. that rogue does not exist anymore. I kinda felt bad when I hit the delete button.

My very first was a Night elf warrior, started in just before BC, I was probably THE worst tank ever I was an arms warrior who ran around with a sword and shield insisting i was capable of tanking.players would whisper me things like "arms with sword and shield?" I didnt know they were implying that i was doing it wrong because nobody actually told me that i should be prot speced.
After several hiatus's I came back during BC only to find that my account was hacked. Shortly after I went on hiatus from wow once more. Eventually I Got a better job and was finally able to build me super rig for starcraft 2 but I was drawn to wow once again for cata, I rolled warrior again from scratch, new account (purchased all expansions again) Im enjoying that game alot more now, Ive finally gotten to experience raiding, am in a guild with people I know and/or are local. And this time im always speced and geared correctly.

Dwarf Warrior I rolled with some friends but they quit before I hit 60. I rerolled a Tauren Warriorwhen I got re interested in the game and casually leveled him to 70 then 80. Didn't start raiding until 3.2 when my guild asked if I could reroll an orc death knight tank. Loved my Death Knight until 4.0.1 which ruined the class for me. Now I'm a Dwarf Hunter and somewhat happy. I'm playing with some old friends who I didn't know played until they heard me complaining about the Death Knight changes.
I kind of miss tanking though and I may go back to my Tauren Warrior or finish leveling my Worgen Druid. I just miss old Death Knight honestly =(

First character was a Draenei Hunter, and she is still my main and my favorite. I have tried other classes, but always come back to her.

First character was an undead warrior. Why? It was the very first thing on the list on the horde side (thought of horde as more evil and I was right =P) I liked my warrior, but starting at the beginning of BC and leveling as fury was killer. I had 37 days of play time on him by the time I finally hit 70 the day before Wrath release. (9 different classes were made while leveling my warrior) Shortly after wrath release, I switched servers and met a new friend and never looked back. My warrior is still sitting at level 73 on that server, but my 19 warrior twink kind of made up for him being left behind.
My twink is now level 82 and not my favorite character because it feels way too self sufficient. By that I mean being able to use victory rush for all my healing needs. I leveled my warrior with bandages and it felt so right. I just don't like the feeling of him anymore because of his healing. Weird, I know, but that ended my love for my first warrior, too...

My first character was an Orc Warrior on Mannoroth - US.
I started playing back in Vanilla, right about the time Naxxramas came out and a few people had Tier 3. That mainly influenced why I was a warrior, a buddy of mine showed me the Dreadnaught set and I just loved it. I chose the class because of what the Tier looked like :P
Sadly I never got that far. I leveled him into the mid 40's and ended up going back to FFXI. The gank-fest in STV was not a pleasant experience for a newcomer. :(
I ended up coming back about a month or so before BC where I started my Rogue which I still play.

My first character was an Undead Warlock about 4 years ago and he stayed as my main for a good year and a bit up until I moved server near the beginning of TBC. He's been sitting at 64 for a long time now. Doesn't even have epic riding.

My first character was a night elf druid on a kid at the LAN center I used to work at's account. I named her after a character from NiGHTS and I ran all the way to the top of some big tree, was fascinated that I gained a 30 minute buff from someone called Mark of the Wild (I came from Ragnarok Online, where buffs lasted mere minutes and had to be constantly refreshed) and I jumped off the tree and died. THE END.
