Malificent was &*!@ty, but Jolie had nothing to do with why.

Just watched 300: Rise of an Empire. Terrible movie (as I expected when they announced it), obvious attempt to grab some more cash from 300's success.

Oh yeah, her acting was pretty good, but an actor can only be as good as the script and director allow them to be.

I actually thought she was really good for the five minutes where she actually plays the
classic version
. She definitely has a knack for being the bad guy. But turning the titular character into a hero was a huge mistake. The tone of the movie was also all over the place, and the dialogue and characters were all really artificial.

30th Anniversary of Ghostbusters soon...wonder what the chance of the theater here in my town showing it for that one week; probably pretty low. Oh well, at least it's never gotten the Star Wars treatment.

Probably old news to most, but saw this on my FB feed.
I...have a bad feeling in the comic book force.
Can't really see them being able to use the full force of Carnage if the movie isn't an R-rated thing; even the Ultimate version of Carnage, where the symbiote was a life stealing monster, would be too much for a PG audience(well in theory).

Well, whatever they do, we'll always have Guardians of the Galaxy.
I saw that movie over this weekend.
IT WAS BETTER THAN AVENGERS!

The new Mad Max actually looks a lot better than I thought it would be. It sucks Mel Gibson isn't coming back, but Tom Hardy is a talented actor. I look forward to seeing his interpretation of the role.

Anybody else notice a coloration between disappointing graphic novel prequel adaptations and Eva Green having hate sex? Just sayin...

Anyone seen the new Avengers movie? Had a great time watching it. It lived up to the hype.

I just saw Black Panther a few days ago. Okay, I get it, I'm in the minority opinion here, but I found it utterly boring. With the panther suit being indestructible, there really wasn't any tension. Killmonger's goals are correct even if he is a jerk, and Ulysses Claue is way more interesting as a villain. Plus the music kept distracting me and pulling me out of the movie.
First Marvel movie I'd give a hard pass to if anyone hasn't seen it yet (all 3 of you). The other weak Marvel movies like Iron Man 2 and Thor 2 were miles ahead of Black Panther. Which is really sad since I liked the character in Civil War and Avengers.
Avengers: Infinity War was amazing, however.

Yep. I saw it. It was pretty good, although some of it was pretty formulaic.
