I can't!
I don't have money to buy it, and piracy is wrong.Well, it's not really all that wrong, imo.
But nevermind about that. Buy it as soon as you have the money.

Which reminds me.
Play Mass Effect.
Like, now.
I remember hearing about it, and my brother was like "Nah, man, the controls suck, and it's not very fun." and I was like "Oh, okay." and then later I was like, "You know what? I've heard from several people that Mass Effect is one of the greatest story driven RPGs ever made, and I'm gonna get it, dammit." and he was like "What the hell man? Don't get
that
." and I was like "Tough $%^&, I'm getting it." and then I was like "Dang this game is pretty good." and he was like "Yeah, I guess so." and I was like "OHMYGODI@#$%INGLOVETHISGAME." and he was like "Yeah, it's actually pretty awesome."
True story.
That is pretty much me. The more you play the game, the more you appreciate the game and the more you want to play it. I played the game over a week or so the first time, then I picked it up a couple months later and played it again on Insanity, and then immediately played through it again on Insanity and so on. Pretty much the only reasons I haven't played it more than I have are A) internet forums and B) school work and C) friends (although now that I have a solid roster of friends, I realize how much of a distraction they can be). The game is just amazing. Traded back Halo Reach just so I could get more of the juicy DLC, and haven't regretted it in the slightest. I can say ME2 is the best game made yet and not even have second thoughts about it. In the past it might be been a toss up, but ME2 has pretty much everything.

I agree mass effect is good, but not good enough to trade in Reach for DLC.
Besides
Reach ending
>Any Mass Effect ending any day of the weekNah. Everyone dying tragically just can't live up to Humans working together with the races that previously mistrusted them to beat the Eldritch Abomination.
Besides, none of the Spartans have their own song.
I'd say the only character more charismatic than Commander Shepard is Gordon Freeman.

I don't think the aliens trust my Shep.
Anyways, the ending of ME2 is just straight up epic, I just can't help myself to youtube the ending every once in a while to watch it. I skip the Halo Reach ending. So... yeah.

Definitely a Spartan, when you argue the stealth a Spartan can spot a cloaked brute.
Also a 14 year old spartan killed 3 ODSTs with his bare fists and no armor. Ghosts without their suit were smashing apart metal robots.

This is mostly a gameplay vs story segregation issue.
http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/GameplayAndStorySegregation
Because ghosts in the game (for balance issues) can do FAR LESS than what they can do in lore (Much like for example, Shamans on Warcraft 3 were capable of MUCH LESS than what they can do in lore)
Gameplay-wise they are just glass-cannons with a big-ass rifle, that can sneak around, aren't very resillient, and can laser-tag objectives for tactical nukes.
Lore-wise they are psychic assassins, capable of breaking apart mechas with their brain, summoning devastating psychic storms like the protoss can (Read: Lighting bolts that rip apart tanks like tin-foil) Brainwashing people, and even mentally controlling lesser minds.
In fact, acording to the Ghost article on the Starcraft wikia (Found here:
http://starcraft.wikia.com/wiki/Ghost
) Ghosts can (Among other things)
Read Minds.
Detect at long range any source of energy (Such as the Spartan Power-armor)
channel their psionic energies through their hostile environment suit, a specialized skinsuit laced with psi-sensitive artificial muscle fiber, to augment their physical capabilities
damage opponents' brains (Via Psionic Assaults) to the point of death.
And the ability to project their thoughts to the enemy's mind, as well as remote viewing and psychometry. (in other words "I see what you see")
Heck, some ghosts have even demonstrated the ability to plant suicidal and homicidal urges into an opponent's mind.
I like how the last ability for the ghosts listed on their article says this:
In addition to their previous abilities, ghosts were trained to combine psionics and technology to do things such as see through objects with heat vision. The powerful ghost Nova can use her hostile environment suit and psionic powers to greatly increase her speed and reflexes.
Ghosts also began using protoss-derived technology such as the
psyblade.
(Read: Light-saber)
And this is not even counting the Shadow-Blade Project Specters, which are ghosts driven to the extreme. They're pretty much Ninjas on meth.
So yes, a Ghost can actually wipe the floor with a spartan, because they have the advantage of getting the drop on them, even if they don't they can read the mind of the enemy and anticipate their moves, and even then, the most powerful ghosts can unleash psyonic storms that can reave battlefields in seconds.
For that matter, Protoss Archons are MUCH MUCH MUCH powerful in lore than they are in the game (If they actually were capable of doing in the game what they do in the lore, a single one of them could win wars singlehandedly)
Edit:
Of course, being fair, Spartans are also a lot tougher in lore than in the game. Master Chief can actually dive from the stratosphere harmlessly in lore, but hey, fall off a 50 feet ledge in the game and you're dead. Also in lore they can take a lot of punishment before dieing, whereas in the game, (regenerative shields aside) they barely take a bit more punishment than the regular joes before dieing.
But their only advantage is being resillient. not much else. While I don't think a ghost could "1-shot" a spartan, they can most definitely win against them in a 1-on-1 fight. Specially if they get the drop on them (Which anyone who knows anything about ghosts, knows they
WILL
do all the time)
Edit 2:
Dammit :S now all this talk about Ghosts makes me nostalgic that the game "Starcraft: Ghost" was canceled, if it wasn't, then everyone would had seen the truest glory a ghost can achieve in actual combat. Instead, anyone who hasn't read the books, or the manga, will simply know ghosts as "those little glass-canons of Starcraft that are only good for droping nukes, and go down easy"
I mean, come on, just look at
this
guy and tell me you wanna mess with him........

new users can't post links till their rep is above 150.
It doesn't really takes that long, but its one (of many) measure to prevent spammers from infecting the forums with all sorts of non-appropriate links
Edit: Fixed your post so it can display the link properly. And yes, those are just the tip of the iceberg in regards to what a ghost can do. They are really underwhelmed in the game (Much like Shamans and Druids were on Warcraft 3. Lorewise those were pretty much THE most powerful units in the game. Yet gameplay-wise, they were at best support units)
Edit 2:
BTW, for those that don't know, that's Nova and Gabriel Tosh vs 2
Goliath
Mech units, and effortlessly turning them into tin-foil scraps. :P
Now imagine what they can do to simple infantry when they can turn ARMORED VEHICLES into piles of garbage......

Throwing in a Space Marine (or even a Traitor Marine) would make for great entertainment, though
=D
And rank; I don't know if you played SCII, but there is a sort of solo-mission where you play as either Nova or Gabriel Tosh, and they actually do rip apart entire squads of enemy units. Basicly, that particular mission really shows the true power of a Ghost (or Spectre, which is what Tosh is).
